INSTALLATION
•Plug one end of the coiled cord to the jack of the handset and the other
end to the jack of the telephone base.
•Plug one end of the flat cord to the line jack of the phone and the other
end to the wall jack.
SETTINGS
Setting Tone/Pulse:
•If your home is equipped with Touch Tone dialing service, set selector to
the "T" (Tone) position.
•If you have rotary dialing service, set the selector to "P" (Pulse) position.
Ringer Volume Control (HI/LO/OFF)
•Slide the 'RINGER’ switch to ‘HI’position for high volume or to the ‘LO’
position for low volume to turn the ringer on.
•Slide the 'RINGER' switch to ‘OFF’ to turn the ringer off. You still can dial
out, but will not have an audible ring to alert you to incoming calls.
(Ringer LED will still flash to remind you there is an incoming call.)
Speaker Volume Control (MAX to MIN)
•Slide the ‘SPEAKER’switch to adjust the speaker volume from maximum
(MAX) to minimum (MIN).
Receiver Volume Control (LO/MI/HI)
•Slide the ‘VOLUME’switch on the inside of the handset to adjust the
receiver volume from LO to HI.

OPERATION
Making a Phone Call:
•Lift the handset and get a dial tone.
•Dial the telephone number by pressing the corresponding digit keys
Receiving Calls:
•When the phone rings, lift the handset and speak into the mouthpiece of
the handset.
•Put back the handset when the conversation is completed.
Using as a Hands-Free Phone:
•Press the ‘SPEAKER’key and the telephone is ready for use as a
speakerphone without picking up the handset.
•You can talk to the caller via the MIC and hear from the speaker.
•The sound level can be adjusted by turning the volume control on the
side of the base.
Hands-Free Answering:
•Press the ‘SPEAKER’key and then speak to the caller.
•Press the ‘SPEAKER’key again when the conversation is completed to
disconnect the call.
Last Number Redial:
•Lift the handset or press the ‘SPEAKER’key and get a new dial tone.
•Press the ‘REDIAL’key and the last outgoing number will be redialed
automatically; this is very useful if the line is busy.
Music on Hold Function:
•This function allows you to talk with another person, and the conversation
will not be heard by the caller.
•During the conversation, press the ‘HOLD’key.
•Put the handset back in the cradle.
•Lift the handset again or press the ‘SPEAKER’key to resume your
conversation with the caller.
To Store 3 One-Touch Dialing Memories:
•Lift the handset or press the ‘SPEAKER’button.
•Press the ‘STORE’button.
•Enter the number you want to store.
•Press the ‘STORE’button.
•Press the ‘ONE-TOUCH’button (M1/M2/M3).
•Replace the handset or press the ‘SPEAKER’button again.

To Store 10 Two-Touch Dialing Memories:
•Lift the handset or press the ‘SPEAKER’button.
•Press the ‘STORE’key.
•Enter the number you want to store.
•Press the ‘STORE’key again.
•Press one of the number keys from 0 to 9.
•Replace the handset or press the ‘SPEAKER’button again.
•The entered number has now been stored in the number key.
To Dial a Number from One-Touch Memories:
•Get the dial tone (pick up the handset or press the ‘SPEAKER’button) and
press the respective M1/M2/M3 button where you stored the needed
number.
To Dial a Number from Two-Touch Memories:
•Get the dial tone (pick up the handset or press the ‘SPEAKER’button).
•Press the ‘AUTO’key.
•Press the two-touch memory key (from 0-9) where you previously stored
the needed number.
Flash:
•Press the ‘FLASH’key to answer a Call Waiting call when on another call.
•Press the ‘FLASH’button again to return to the original call.
•In an office equipped with PABX, you can transfer calls from your
telephone line.
oAsk the caller to wait.
oPress the "FLASH" key once.
oDial the number to which you want to transfer the call.
oWhen the third-party answers, replace the handset in the cradle.
oIf you receive a busy call or no answer, press and release the "FLASH"
key to reconnect to the original caller.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
•When you use this telephone, follow these safety precautions to reduce
the risk of fire, electric shock and injury.
•Read and understand all instructions.
•Unplug the phone from the wall jack before cleaning with a damp cloth.
•Do not use liquid or aerosol cleanser
•Do not use this phone near water, for example, near a bath tub, sink or
pool.
•To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not push object through the
phone's slot or disassemble the phone. Pushing objects in the phone or
opening or removing covers might expose you to dangerous voltages or
other risk. Take it to a service person when service to repair is required.

•Improper reassembly can cause electric shock when you use the
telephone.
•Do not place the phone on a bed, rug, or any similar surface or near a
heater. The phone has slots and openings for ventilation that must not
be blocked or covered.
•Do not place this phone on an unstable cart, stand or table. The phone
might fall and be seriously damaged.
•Unplug the phone from the phone line jack and refer service to service
person under the following conditions:
oif the phone is exposed to rain or water
oif the phone fails to operate normally
oif the phone is dropped or the cabinet is damaged
oif the phone exhibits a distinct change is performance
•Avoid using the phone during electrical storms. There is a risk of electric
shock from lightning.
•Do not use the phone to report a gas leak in the vicinity of the leak.
•Follow all safety rules and use with caution when installing or modifying
the telephone lines.
•For example:
oDo not install telephone jacks in wet locations unless the jack is
specifically designed for wet locations.
oOnly install telephone jacks in dry locations unless the jack is
specifically designed for wet locations.
oAvoid touching uninsulated telephone wires or terminals unless
the telephone line is disconnected at the network interface.
