Using Your Remote Control
Locking the System
Tolockthesystem, press the LOCK button. The parking lightswill flash 2 times and the horn willsound2times
indicatingthe system has lockedthedoors(if equipped and connected) andactivatedthe starter disable feature.
Thestatusindicator (blue warning light on the dash) will blink steadily, once per second. To lock the system
silently, press and hold the LOCK button for 1second. The parkinglights will flash 2 times, indicating the system
haslocked the doors (if equipped andconnected)andactivated the starter disable feature. Thestatusindicator
(bluewarninglightonthedash)willblinksteadily,oncepersecond.
Unlocking the System
Tounlockthe system press the UNLOCK button. The parkinglightswill flash 1 time and the hornwill sound 1 time
indicatingthe system has unlockedthedoors (if equipped andconnected)anddeactivated the starter disable
feature. Todisarmthe system silently, press and hold the UNLOCK buttonfor 1 second. The parkinglightswill
flash1 time, indicating the systemhasunlockedthe doors (if equipped andconnected)anddeactivated the starter
disablefeature.
Disabling/Enabling Confirmation Chirps
1. Turn the ignition key ON then OFF.
2. Within10 seconds pushandrelease the valet/override button3times.
3. Thesystemwillsound2timestodisable confirmation chirps or 1 time to enable confirmation
chirps.
Two Stage Door Unlock (Optional)
Ifthis feature is enabled on your system, pressing theUNLOCKbuttonone time on the remote control will unlock
onlythe driver’s door. Press UNLOCK again to unlock theremaining doors.
Activating the Trunk Release Feature (Optional)
Ifthisfeatureisenabledonyoursystem,pressingandholdingtheTRUNKbutton on the remote control for 2
secondswill open the vehicle’s trunk or hatch.
*Throughout this manual, ‘press’ refers to pressing for less than 1 second; ‘press and hold’ refers to pressing for
morethan2seconds.

Turning on the Vehicle’s Headlights (Optional)
Ifthis feature is enabled on your system, pressing and holding the LOCK button on the remote control for 3
secondswillturnonthevehicle’sheadlightsfor30seconds.
Activating Optional AUX 1 (Optional)
Ifthis feature is enabledonyour system, press and releasetheOPT button on the remotecontrolto activate an
optionalfeature. This feature can be programmed for a widerangeoffunctions like power window or sunroof
automation,please consult yourinstallingdealer to determinefunctionalityof your system.
Activating Optional AUX 2 (Optional)
Ifthis feature is enabled on your system, pressing and holding the KEY buttonontheremotecontrolfor 2 seconds
willactivate an optional feature. Thisfeaturecanbe programmed for a wide rangeoffunctions like power window
orsunroof automation, please consultyourinstalling dealer to determinefunctionalityof your system.
Activating Optional AUX 3 (Optional)
Ifthis feature is enabled onyoursystem, pressing and holding theLOCKbuttonand the Trunk button ontheremote
controlsimultaneously for 2 seconds will activate anoptionalfeature.This feature can be programmed for awide
rangeof functions like power windoworsunroofautomation, please consult your installing dealertodetermine
functionalityofyour system.
Activating Optional AUX 4 (Optional)
Ifthis feature is enabled on your system, pressing and holding the UNLOCK button and the TRUNK button onthe
remotecontrol simultaneously for 2 seconds willactivateanoptional feature. This feature can beprogrammedfor
awide range of functions like power window orsunroofautomation,please consult your installing dealer to
determinefunctionalityofyour system.
Using the Progressive Car Finder Feature
Pressthe LOCK button and the UNLOCK button ontheremotecontrol to locate your vehicle. The system will
sound5 times at low volumeincreasinginvolume each of 3 timesthebuttonis pressed.
Using the Personal Protection Alarm (Panic)
Pressand hold the LOCKbuttonandthe UNLOCK button on theremotecontrol for 2 seconds toactivatethe
personalprotection alarm. The system will sound for 30 seconds. Pressing any button on the remote control will
turnthe personal protection alarm off.

Using Your Remote Vehicle Starter
Remote Starting Your Vehicle
Toactivate the remote vehiclestartfunction,pressand release the KEY button ontheremote control 2 times within
2seconds. The system will sound, the parking lights will flash 1 time and the system will check the vehicle to
ensureit is safe to start, if all safety parameters are correct, the vehiclewill start within 5 seconds (diesel
vehicles will take longer). The vehicle’s parking lights will turn on (or flash depending on system settings) as a
visualindication that the vehicle has started and is running. Press andreleasetheKEYbutton on the remote
control2 times within 2 seconds again to turn the vehicle off.
Ifyour vehicle stalls or does not start, the system will pause 5 seconds, then try 3 more times to start thevehicle(a
totalof 4 attempts). The systemwillpause 5 seconds between eachstartattempt. If the vehicle doesnotstart
afterthe 4th attempt, thesystemwill abort the remotevehiclestart process.
Entering the Vehicle while it is running via Remote Vehicle Start
1. Unlockthevehicle’sdoors.
2. Enter the vehicle. DO NOT PRESS THE BRAKE PEDAL!
3. Insertthe key into the ignition switch and turn tothe ON or RUN position.
4. Press the brake pedal. The remote vehicle starterwill disengage and the vehicle will operate normally.
Using the Safety (Red Handled) Control Switch
Thesafety (red handled) control switch allows you to temporarily disable the remote vehicle starter feature,thisis
especiallyhelpfulwhen having yourvehicleserviced or valetparked. Todisablethe remote start,movethesafety
(redhandled)control switch to the OFF position.
Preheating or Precooling the Vehicle’s interior
Beforeexiting the vehicle, set the temperaturecontrolstothe desired setting and operation. After the system
startsthevehicle, the heater or air conditioning will activate and heat or cool the vehicle’sinteriortoyour setting.
Using the “Quick-stop” Feature
Ifyou want to make ashortstopand keep your vehicle running(tokeepthe interior warm or cool),thequick-stop
featureallows youto dothiswhile keepingyourvehicle secureand your keyswith you.
To engage quick stop:
1. Stopthe vehicle and place the transmission in PARK.
2. Withyour foot offthebrake pedal, press andreleasethe KEY button ontheremote control 2
times within 2 seconds. The parking lights will turn on indicating the vehicle is now running
via remote vehicle start.
3. Removethe keys fromtheignition and exitthevehicle. Press the LOCKbuttonon the remote
control to lock the vehicle’s doors if desired.
Note: Donot leave children or animals unattended in the vehicle when using the quick-stop feature.

Operating the 2 / 4 Hour Start Up Timer Mode
Thesystem has the ability to start the vehicle every 2 or 4 hours over a 48 hour period. This feature is especially
usefulin cold climates where the only means to keep the engine and engine fluids warm is to periodicallystartthe
engine.
WARNING!
Becertainthat the vehicle is outdoors before using this or any remote starting device. Arunningengineproduces
dangerouscarbon monoxide fumes which can be harmful or fatal if prolonged exposure occurs. DO NOT remote
start the vehicle if it is garaged.
Selecting between 2 and 4 hour start up: (default 4 hour)
1. Beginwith the safety (red handled) control switch in the ON position.
2. Turn the ignition switch ON then OFF.
3. Within 10 seconds move the safety (red handled) control switch OFF,ON, OFF, ON (2 switch
cycles) to select a 2 hour start timer. After 10 seconds the parking lights
willflashand the system will sound 2 times indicating that the 2 hour starttimeris selected.
Or
3a. Within10 seconds move the safety (red handled) control switch OFF,ON,OFF, ON,
OFF, ON, OFF, ON (4 switch cycles) to select a 4 hour start timer. After 10 seconds the
parkinglights will flash and the system will sound 4 times indicating that the 4 hourstart
timeris selected.
To begin the 2 / 4 hour start up timer mode:
1. Turn the ignition key ON then OFF.
2. Within10 seconds press the KEY button on the remote control four (4) times.
Theparking lights will flash and thesystem will sound 4 times indicatingthe 2 / 4 hour start
uptimer mode has been activated. The vehiclewillstartevery 2 or 4 hours and run
forthepresettimelimit(5,10, 15 or 20 minutes) and then shutdown. This will continue
for48 hours unless the 2 / 4hour start up timer is cancelled.
To begin the 2 / 4 hour start up timer mode from the remote control:
1. Activatethe remote vehicle start feature usingtheremotecontrol.
2. Shutdownthe remote vehicle starter using the remotecontrol.
3. Within10 seconds press KEY button on the remotecontrol4times.
Theparking lights will flash and thesystem will sound 4 times indicatingthe 2 / 4 hour start
uptimer mode has been activated. The vehicle will start every 2 or4hoursandrun for the preset
timelimit(5,10,15or20minutes) and then shutdown. This will continue for 48 hours unless the
2 / 4 hour start up timer is cancelled.
To cancel the 2 / 4 hour start up timer mode:
1. Startthevehicleusingthe ignition key, then press thebrakepedal.
Or
2. Activatethe remote vehicle start feature usingtheremotecontrol.
Operating the Temperature Start Mode
Thesystemhastheabilitytostartthe vehicle when the temperature reaches 0 degrees. To toggle this feature ON/
OFFusingthe remote control press the UNLOCK and TRUNK buttons simultaneously for1second.
Note: Thisfeature must be turned ON in options programming. Check with your installing dealer to insure this
featureis set to the ON position.

Operating the Daily Start Timer
Thesystem has the ability to start your vehicle based on a 24-hour countdown timer. This feature requiresatwo-
partactivationsequence.Fromtheremote,pressingboththeTRUNK&LOCKbuttonstogetherwillactivatethe
24hour countdowntimer. Next, Whenyouare finished operating thevehiclefor the day, perform thefollowing
stepstocompletethisprocess.
1. Turn theignition ON/OFF (vehicle must be disarmed).
2. Within10 seconds, while pressing the brake, press and release the TRUNK button twice.
3. The vehicle will flash the parking lights 2 times.
Remote Start Safety Features
Forsafety and security reasons, the systemwillshutdownor prevent the remote vehicle starter fromactivatingif
anyof the following occur:
1. Thevehicle’s hood isopen.
2. Thebrake pedal is pressed priortoturning the ignition key to the ON position.
3. The enginereaches 3 times its normal idle speed.
4. Thesafety (red handled) control switch is moved totheOFFposition.
Using Valet Mode
To engage valet mode:
1. Turnthe ignition key to the ON position.
2. Pressand holdtheemergency override button.
3. Theblue dashboard mounted LED will light solid indicating that the system is in valet mode.
Whenvalet mode is activated the dash mounted status LED will light solid, and all security functionswillbe
disabled.
To disengage valet mode:
1. Turnthe ignition key to the ON position.
2. Pressand release theemergencyoverridebutton.
3. Theblue dashboardmountedLED will turnoffindicating that thesystemhas exited valetmode.
Whenthe valet modehasbeen deactivated the dashmountedstatus LED willturnoff and all securityfunctionswill
beenabledthenexttimethe systemis armed.
Using the optional Turbo Timer Feature
To engage the turbo timer feature:
1. Withthe vehicle running viatheignition key, and yourfootoffof the brake pedal.
2. Engagethevehicle’sparking brake.
3. Thevehicle’sparkinglightswillturnontoverifytheturbotimerfeaturehasbeenactivated.
4. Turn the ignition key OFF, the vehicle will continue to run for an additional 5 minutes.
To disengage the turbo timer feature:
1. Pressthe vehicle’s brake pedal.
Or
2. Turnthesafety(redhandled) control switch to the OFF position.

Replacing Remote Control Batteries
1-Way 5 Button Remote Control:
Thetwo3 volt lithium batteries (model CR2032 or Code Alarm part#6BA) inside each remote control should last
approximately1 yearundernormal use. When thebatteries become weakyouwill noticetheremote control range
(thedistance from the vehicle the remote control will work) deteriorate and the small LED on the remote control will
dim. Toreplacetheremote control batteries:
1. Usinga small (#1) philips screwdriver, remove the 2 screwsonthebackoftheremote control.
2. Gentlyunsnap thehalvesof theremote controlapart.
3. Slidethe lithium batteries out of the circuit board, observing the +/- symbols on the batteries
andreplace with new lithium 3 volt batteries (model CR2032 or Code Alarm part # 6BA)
4. Gentlysnap the halves of the remote controlbacktogetherandreinstall the philips screws
onthe backofthe remote control.
5. Testoperation of theremotecontrol.
Emergency Override Procedure
If your transmitter is lostordisabled, it will be necessary use the emergency override button to turn the starter
disablefeature off.
1. Enterthevehicle.
2. TurntheignitionkeytotheONposition.
3. Pressandreleasetheemergencyoverridebutton.
