Using Your Remote Control
Arming the Security System
Toarm the system, exit the vehicle, close alldoors,thenpress the LOCK button on the remote control. Thesystem
willsound 2 times and the parking lights will flash2 times, indicating the system is armed, has lockedthe doors (if
equippedand connected) and activated the starter disable feature. The status indicator (blue warning light on the
dash)will blink steadily,once per second. Toarm the system silently,press and hold the LOCK button for 1second.
Theparking lights will flash 2 times, indicating the systemis armed, has locked the doors (if equipped and
connected)andactivatedthestarterdisablefeature.Thestatusindicator(blue warning light on the dash) will blink
steadily, onceper second.
Pre-arm Mode
Ifthesystem sounds 1 time and the parking lights flash only1time, this indicates that the vehicle’s interior light is
onor an entrance is left open. Check to see thatalldoorshoodandtrunkareclosedproperly. Once all entrances
aresecured (and the interior light is off), thissystem will sound/flash again. The system is now fullyarmed. (If the
entranceisnotsecuredwithin4 minutes, the system will arm and ignore the unsecured entrance until it is closed.)
Disarming the Security System
To disarm the system press the UNLOCK button. The system will sound and the parking lightswill flash once, and
thedoorswillunlock(ifequippedandconnected). To disarm the system silently, press and hold the UNLOCK
buttonfor1 second. The parking lights will flash, indicating the system is disarmed andhasunlocked the doors (if
equippedand connected).
Disabling/Enabling Confirmation Chirps
1. Turn the ignition key ON then OFF.
2. Within10 seconds pushandrelease the valet/override button3times.
3. Thesystemwillsound2timestodisable confirmation chirps or 1 time to enable confirmation chirps.
Attempted Intrusion Identification
Thissystem will inform you if anintrusionattempthas occurred while you were away fromthevehicle. Ifan intrusion
attemptoccurred, the system will sound 4 times and the parking lights will flash 3 times when disarming the system.
Enterthe vehicle anobservethe dash mounted statusLEDto Identify whichzonewas triggered.
1. ShockSensor-1 flash, pause 1 flash, etc.
2. HoodorTrunk Pin switch - 2 flashes, pause 2 flashes, etc.
3. DoorEntry - 3 flashes, pause 3 flashes, etc.
Theintrusion warning indicators are stored in the system’s memory and will be erased when the ignition key is
turnedon.
Two Stage Door Unlock (Optional)
Ifthis feature is enabled on your system, pressing theUNLOCKbuttonone time on the remote control will unlock
onlythe driver’s door. Press UNLOCK again to unlock theremainingdoors.
Activating the Trunk Release Feature (Optional)
Ifthisfeatureisenabledonyoursystem,pressingandholdingtheTRUNKbutton on the remote control for 2
secondswill open the vehicle’s trunk or hatch.
*Throughout this manual, ‘press’ refers to pressing for less than 1 second, ‘press and hold’ refers to pressing for
morethan2seconds.

Turning on the Vehicle’s Headlights (Optional)
Ifthis feature is enabled on your system, pressing and holding the LOCK button on the remote control for 3
secondswillturnonthevehicle’sheadlightsfor30seconds.
Activating Optional AUX 1 (Optional)
Ifthis feature is enabledonyour system, press and releasetheOPT button on the remotecontrolto activate an
optionalfeature. This feature can be programmed for a widerangeoffunctions like power window or sunroof
automation,please consult yourinstallingdealer to determinefunctionalityof your system.
Activating Optional AUX 2 (Optional)
Ifthis feature is enabled on your system, pressing and holding the KEY buttonontheremotecontrolfor 2 seconds
willactivate an optional feature. Thisfeaturecanbe programmed for a wide rangeoffunctions like power window
orsunroof automation, please consultyourinstalling dealer to determinefunctionalityof your system.
Activating Optional AUX 3 (Optional)
Ifthis feature is enabled onyoursystem, pressing and holding theLOCKbuttonand the Trunk button ontheremote
controlsimultaneously for 2 seconds will activate anoptionalfeature.This feature can be programmed for awide
rangeof functions like power windoworsunroofautomation, please consult your installing dealertodetermine
functionalityofyour system.
Activating Optional AUX 4 (Optional)
Ifthis feature is enabled on your system, pressing and holding the UNLOCK button and the TRUNK button onthe
remotecontrol simultaneously for 2 seconds will activate an optionalfeature.Thisfeaturecan be programmed for a
widerange of functions like power windoworsunroofautomation, please consult your installing dealertodetermine
functionalityofyour system.
Using the Progressive Car Finder Feature
Pressthe LOCK button and the UNLOCK button ontheremotecontrol to locate your vehicle. The system will
sound5 times at low volumeincreasinginvolume each of 3 timesthebuttonis pressed.
Using the Personal Protection Alarm (Panic)
Pressand hold the LOCKbuttonandthe UNLOCK button on theremotecontrol for 2 seconds toactivatethe
personalprotection alarm. The system will sound for 30 seconds. Pressing any button on the remote control will
turnthe personal protection alarm off.
Using Valet Mode
To engage valet mode:
1. TurntheignitionkeytotheONposition.
2. Pressandhold the emergencyoverride button.
3. ThebluedashboardmountedLEDwill light solid indicating that the system is in valet mode.
Whenvalet mode is activated the dash mounted status LED will light solid, and all security functionswillbe
disabled.
To disengage valet mode:
1. TurntheignitionkeytotheONposition.
2. Pressandrelease the emergency overridebutton.
3. Thebluedashboard mounted LEDwillturn off indicatingthat the systemhasexited valet mode.

Additional LCD Remote Control Functions
LCD Remote Control Display Illumination
Pressandreleasethe“F”buttonontheLCDremotecontrol one time. The display will illuminate for 10 seconds.
LCD Remote Control Vibrate or Tones
Pressand release the “F” button and the UNLOCK button on the LCD remotecontrolsimultaneouslyonetimeto
togglebetween beep tones and vibrate mode. TheLCDremotecontrol will either beep or vibratetoindicatewhich
modeis selected.
Page Call Out
Fromwithin the vehicle, press and hold the emergency override button for4seconds,theLCD remote control will
emita beep tone to indicate thatsomeoneiscalling you to the vehicle.
Out of Range
If the LCD remote control is within operating range of the vehicle the antenna or IN-RANGE INDICATOR icon will
bedisplayed after any button is pressed. If this icon disappears after a button is pressed the vehicle is out of range
ofthe remote control.
Countdown Timer
TheLCD remote control is equippedwitha countdown timer for situations whereanalert tone may be neededto
remindyou of something important. Thecountdowntimer allows you tosetthe timer up to19hours and 59 minutes.
Refer to page 10 for programming.
Parking Meter Timer
TheLCD remote control is equipped with a parking meter timer that allows you to set a countdown timer for 10, 20,
30,60,90or120minutes. TheLCDremotecontrolwillemitabeeptonewhenthetimerexpires. Press”F”and
TRUNKsimultaneouslytoselectdesiredtime.
Alarm Clock
TheLCDremotecontrolisequippedwithabuilt in alarm clock that can be set to beep at a certaintime each day.
Thealarmclock must be set, and the feature turned on. Refer topage10for programming time. Press ”F” and
KEYsimultaneously to turn ON and OFF if thedesiredtimehas already been set.
Bypassing The Shock Sensor
Thereare3 additional modes of operation in which your system will react to the shock sensor, FULL TRIGGER
ONLY, ALLOFF, or CITY MODE.
PressLOCK once to arm the system.
PressingLOCK again within 2 seconds will setthe system to FULLTRIGGER ONLYin whichthe system will
ignore the light touch setting.
PressingLOCKagain within 2 seconds will set the system toALLOFF. In this mode the system will not reacttothe
shocksensor and the 2-way LCDremotewilldisplay the shock sensor icon.
PressingLOCK again within 2 seconds will set the system toCITYMODE. In this mode the light touch horn output
isextendedtoafull10secondsandfulltriggerhornoutputisshortened to 15 seconds, no icon is displayed.
NOTE:The system will only change the shock sensorsettingforone arm cycle and will be defaulted back tonormal
operationthenexttime thesystem isarmed.

Check Vehicle Status
PresstheLOCK,TRUNKand KEY buttons simultaneously for 1 second. The LCD remote control will display the
system’scurrent status.
Check Temperature
PresstheTRUNKandKEYbuttonssimultaneouslyfor 1 second. The LCD remote control will display the
vehicle’sinteriortemperature.
Battery Save Mode
Pressthe LOCK and “F” buttonssimultaneouslywhenthe system is disarmed. Note thatinthis mode the remote
willnot send or receivevehiclestatusunless you press a buttononthe remote.
Temperature Display
Pressand release the TRUNK,KEYand “F” buttons simultaneously tochangethe temperature display between
Fahrenheit or Celsius.

Accessing the Options Menu
1.Press and hold the “F” button for 5 seconds.
2. Press the “F” button to select the setting to change.
3. Use the TRUNK or OPT button to change the digits.
4.Press “F” to keepsettingandadvance to the next item.
5.Pressandhold“F”for5secondstoexitoptionsmenu.

Replacing Remote Control Batteries
2-way LCD Remote Control:
The AAA alkalinebatteryinside the 2-way LCDremotecontrolshould last approximately 1yearunder normal use.
Whenthe batterybecomesweak you willnoticethe remote controlrange (the distancefromthe vehicle theremote
controlwillwork)deteriorateandtheBATTERYiconon the LCD remote control will display. Toreplace the remote
controlbattery:
1. Liftandslide the battery cover off oftheremote control.
2. RemovetheoldAAAbattery, observing the+/-symbols on thebattery, andreplacewith anew
AAAbattery.
3. Gentlyslidethe battery cover onto the backofthe remote control until itlocksintoplace.
4. Test operationofthe remote control.
1-Way 5 Button Remote Control:
Thetwo3 volt lithium batteries (model CR2032 or Code Alarm part # 6BA) insideeachremotecontrol should
lastapproximately 1yearunder normaluse. Whenthe batteries becomeweak you willnoticethe remotecontrol
range(the distance from the vehicle the remote control will work) deteriorate and the small LEDontheremote
controlwill dim. To replace the remote control batteries:
1. Usingasmall(#1)philips screwdriver, remove the 2 screws on the back of the remote control.
2. Gentlyunsnapthe halvesofthe remotecontrol apart.
3. Slidethelithiumbatteriesoutofthecircuitboard,observingthe+/- symbols on the batteries
andreplace with new lithium 3 volt batteries (model CR2032 or Code Alarm part # 6BA)
4. Gentlysnapthehalves of the remote control back together and reinstall thephilipsscrews
onthe backofthe remote control.
5. Test operationofthe remote control.

Emergency Override Procedure
Ifyourtransmitter is lost or disabled, it will be necessary use the emergency override button to turn the security
systemoff. There are two types of emergencyoverrideprocedures. Checkwith your installing dealer to findout
whathasbeen activatedonyoursystem.
StandardEmergencyOverrideProcedure
1. Enterthevehicle(thesecuritysystemwill trigger).
2. TurntheignitionkeytotheONposition.
3. Pressandreleasetheemergencyoverridebutton(Thesecuritysystemwillturnoff).
Note:Iftheautomaticarmingfeatureisenabledonyoursystem. Thesecuritysystemwillre-armthenexttimethe
ignitionkeyisturnedoffandthevehicle’s doorsareclosed.
Coded Override Procedure
Thesystem has an optional override mode that allows you to programa2-digitpersonalcode using the
emergencyoverride button offeringahigherlevelofsecurity. This featuremustbeenabledbyyour installing
dealer,the default override code is 11.
1. Enterthe vehicle (the security system will trigger).
2. Turnthe ignition switch to the ON position.
3. Within5secondspress the emergency override button the numberoftimescorresponding to
the first digit of your personal code (Default digit is 1).
4. Within 5 seconds turn the ignition key OFF, then ON.
5. Within5secondspress the emergency override button the numberoftimescorresponding to
the second digit of your personal code (Default digit is 1).
6. Within 5 seconds turn the ignition key OFF, then ON.
7. Ifenteredcorrectlythe security system will turn off.
8. TurntheignitionkeytotheOFFposition.
ProgrammingYour Personal OverrideCode
1. Makesurethesecurity system is disarmed.
2. TurntheignitionkeytotheONposition.
3. Within10secondspress and release the override button 3 times.
4. Within10seconds turn the ignition key OFF then ON 3 times (The horn will honk andthe lights
will flash 1 time).
5. Within10seconds press and release theoverridebutton the number oftimes
correspondingwith the first digit of yourpersonal code (1-9).
6. Within10secondsturntheignition key OFF then ON.
7. Within10 seconds press andreleasethe override button thenumberof times corresponding
withtheseconddigitofyoupersonalcode(1-9).
8. Within 5 seconds turn the ignition key OFF.
9. Youwill notice the LED flashanumberof times corresponding with the codeyouentered.
Note:If 15 seconds of inactivity passes the system will abort programming.
Note: Do not lose your “Personal Override Code”. Reprogramming a new code without the original code
can only be performed by an authorized dealer.
