OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Pre-Operating Instructions
1. The incline angle of the cabinet should not be over 45º during
transportation. Do not turn the ice maker upside-down. Doing so
could cause the compressor or refrigerating system to operate
incorrectly.
2. The ice maker should be placed on a level and solid surface and
away from any heat source and corrosive gas. If the feet of the ice
maker are not at a level setting, turn each foot clockwise to raise
the foot or counter-clockwise to lower the foot. Continue this with
all feet until the unit is stable. At least six inches of clearance
should be left around the ice maker to ensure proper ventilation.

INSTRUCCIONES DE FUNCIONAMIENTO
Instrucciones previas al funcionamiento
1. El ángulo de inclinación de la cabina no debe ser mayor a 45°
durante su transporte o traslado. No coloque la máquina de
cabeza ya que de lo contrario se podría causar que el sistema de
la compresora o de refrigeración funcionen incorrectamente.
2.Coloquelamáquinaparahielosobreunasupercieniveladaysólida
y lejos de cualquier fuente de calor y gases corrosivos. Si las patas
de la máquina para hielo no se encuentran niveladas, gire cada una
de las patas en el sentido de las agujas del reloj para elevarlas o en el
sentido contrario a las agujas del reloj para bajarlas. Lleve a cabo este
procedimiento hasta que todas las patas del equipo queden estables.
Debe dejarse por lo menos seis pulgadas de espacio alrededor de la
máquina para hielo para asegurar una adecuada ventilación.

4. Clean the inside of the ice maker thoroughly. Wipe the inner liner,
ice collecting board, water box, ice pusher and evaporator rods.
Grounding Instructions
This product must be grounded. If it should malfunction or break down,
grounding provides a path of least resistance for electric current to
reduce the risk of electric shock. This product is equipped with a cord
having an equipment grounding conductor and a grounding plug. The
plug must be plugged into an appropriate outlet that is properly installed
and grounded in accordance with all local codes and ordinances.
Avoid the use of an extension cord because the extension cord may
overheat and cause a risk of re.However, if you have to use an
extension cord, the cord shall be No. 16 AWG minimum size and rated
no less than 1800W.
Operating Instructions
1.Openthelidandllthewaterstoragetankwithdrinkable(tap,
puried or bottled) water. Make sure that the water level is not
over the bottom of the ice collecting basket. The unit usually
makesfrostedicecubes.Forclearice:(a)usewatercontaining
little or no minerals such as distilled, reverse osmosis or other
verypurewater;and(b)addapinchofsalttothewatersothat
the water is detected by the sensor. This amount of salt will not
affect the taste of the ice.
2. Plug the unit into a grounded outlet panel. Push the “start” button
on control panel to start the machine. Press the “Select” button
toselectthedesiredcubesize.Therst3minutesafterstarting
is used by the machine for self-inspection. After that, normal ice
making cycle begins.
3. The ice cube making procedures are as follows:
a) Water is pumped into the water box from the water storage tank,
which may take up to 40 seconds.
b) The ice cube making cycle begins when the evaporator rods are
dipped into the water box to start making ice.
c) It will take approximately 6 to 10 minutes for the ice making cycle
dependinguponthecubesizeselected.Afterthecycleisnished,
the water box will tilt forward and the remaining water will ow
back to the water storage tank through the water leakage grooves
and the evaporator rods release the ice cubes.
3. Antes de utilizar la máquina para hielo por primera vez, espere

Instrucciones de conexión a tierra
Este producto debe contar con una salida a tierra. Si sufriera un
desperfecto o descompostura, la salida a tierra ofrece un camino de menor
resistencia para la corriente eléctrica y reduce el riesgo de una descarga.
Este producto tiene un cordón equipado con un conductor a tierra y un
enchufe a tierra. Este tipo de enchufe debe conectarse a un tomacorriente
adecuado que se encuentre debidamente instalado y con la debida salida
a tierra conforme a los códigos y ordenanzas de su localidad.
Evite el uso de cables de extensión ya que éstos pueden sobrecalentarse
y causar el riesgo de que se produzca un incendio. Sin embargo, si se
tuviera que utilizar un cable de extensión, éste cable debe tener un
tamaño mínimo de No.16 AWG y una resistencia no menor a 1800W.
Instrucciones de Funcionamiento
1. Abra la tapa y llene el tanque de almacenamiento de agua con agua
potable(delgrifo,puricada o embotellada).Asegúresedequeel
nivel de agua no sobrepase la parte inferior de la canastilla para hielo.
Este equipo generalmente fábrica cubos de hielo escarchados. Para
obtenerhielotransparente:(a)utiliceaguaquecontengamuypocos
oningúntipodemineralestalcomoaguadestilada,aguarevertida
porosmosisocualquierotrotipodeaguaextrapura;y(b)añada
una pizca de sal al agua de manera que el sensor pueda detectar el
agua. Esta cantidad de sal no afectará el sabor del hielo.
2. Proceda a enchufar el equipo a un tomacorriente con salida a tierra. Presione
elbotónSTART(iniciar)enelpaneldecontrolparadarinicioalprocesodela
máquina.PresioneelbotónSELECT(seleccionar)paraseleccionareltamaño
del cubo deseado. Los tres primeros minutos después del inicio son utilizados
por parte de la máquina para efectuar una inspección automática. Después
de eso, se iniciará el ciclo de fabricación de a hielo de manera normal.
3. Los procedimientos para la fabricación de hielo son como sigue:

d) Approximately 30 seconds later, the water box will tilt backward
and the ice pusher will push the ice into the ice storage basket.
After the water box ips back to its level position, the next ice
making cycle will begin.
4.Checkthewaterlevelduringthewaterllingprocedure.Ifthere
is no water from the pump, the icemaker will know that there is
no water in the water box and it will stop operation. The Water
Low indicator light will illuminate. Fill the water storage tank with
water and press the stop button, then press the start button after
the Water Low indicator light goes out. The ice maker will start to
make ice again.
5. When the maximum capacity of the ice cubes are collected the
ice will touch the temperature sensor, the ice maker will stop
operating and the Ice Full light will illuminate. When the ice is
below the sensor and the temperature of the sensor rises to about
50ºF(10ºC)theicemakerwillrestartitself.
6. If the ice full indicator light and water low indicator light are both
on at the same time, please check and remove any ice cubes
blocking the water box. If there is no ice blocking, please turn the
water box slightly by hand. 3-5minutes later, restart the machine.
If there is no ice blocking and there is no change after turning the
box slightly, the ice maker may need repair. Please contact your
local dealer.
7. There are three sizes of ice cubes available. The larger the ice
cube size selected, the more time is needed to make ice. When
theambient temperatureis low(lower than59º F)the smallor
medium ice cubes are suggested to prevent cubes from fusing
together.
8. When removing ice cubes and reinstalling the basket, push the
basket downward to its original position to ensure the temperature
sensor is above the basket so as to ensure that the machine
operates properly.
9.Ifthecompressorstopsforanyreasonsuchaswatershortage,
too much ice, power off, etc., don’t restart it right zaway. Please
wait at least 3 minutes before restarting the machine.

hielo entrará en contacto con el sensor de temperatura. Esto hará que

se iluminará. Cuando la cantidad de hielo se encuentre por debajo
del sensor y la temperatura del sensor alcance aproximadamente los

6. Si la luz indicadora de hielo lleno y la luz indicadora de nivel bajo
deaguaseiluminanalavez,procedaavericaryretirarcualquier
cubo de hielo que se encuentre obstruyendo la caja de agua. Si no
hubiera hielo que se encuentre obstruyendo la caja, gire la caja de
agua ligeramente con la mano. Dentro de unos 3 a 5 minutos, la
máquina se reiniciará. Si no hubiera hielo obstruyendo la caja y no
seprodujeraningúncambiodespuésdegirarlacajaligeramente,
lamáquinaparahielopodríarequerirdealgúntipodereparación.

7. Existen tres tamaños de cubos de hielo disponibles. A mayor sea
el tamaño del cubo de hielo seleccionado, mayor será el tiempo
necesario para fabricarlo. Cuando la temperatura de ambiente sea
baja(menora59°F),sesugiereprepararcubosdehielopequeños
o medianos para evitar que los cubos se peguen unos a otros.
8. Al momento de retirar los cubos de hielo y volver a colocar la
canastilla en su lugar, presione la canastilla hacia abajo para
colocarlaensuposiciónoriginalconelndeasegurarsedequeel

MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
1. To ensure the cleanliness of the ice cubes, the water in the water
storage tank must be replaced every 24 hours.
2.Thestrainer(locatedatthebottomrightofthewaterstoragetank)
needs to be cleaned regularly so that impurities in the water do not go
into the water pump and affect the normal operation of the machine.
Thestrainermaybecleanedwithasmall,exiblebottlebrush.
3. Unscrew the drainage plug to drain the remaining water in the
tank when the ice maker will not be used for an extended period
of time.
4.Please clean the ice maker regularly. When cleaning, disconnect
the power and remove the ice cubes. Use a mild cleaning
detergent diluted in water with a soft towel or sponge to clean the
inside and outside surface of the unit. Do not spray any liquids on
the unit. Avoid using strong cleaning solutions to clean the unit
such as acids and gasoline.
5. When plugging or unplugging the unit, pull on the plug head and
not the wire.
6. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the
manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualied persons in
order to avoid a hazard.

INSTRUCCIONES DE MANTENIMIENTO
1. Para garantizar la limpieza de los cubos de hielo, el agua dentro del
tanque de almacenamiento de agua debe remplazarse cada 24 horas.
2.El ltro (ubicado en la parte inferior derecha del tanque de
almacenamiento de agua) debe limpiarse con regularidad de

los cubos de hielo. Utilice detergente de limpieza suave diluido
en agua y una toalla o esponja suaves para efectuar la limpieza
de las supercies de la parte interior y exterior del equipo. No
apliqueningúntipodeatomizadorsobreelequipo.Eviteutilizar
soluciones de limpieza muy fuertes para efectuar la limpieza tales
como ácidos y gasolina.
