a two-jack
cable
to therearof themonitor,
follow
these
steps:
1.
Plug
the
five
PINDIN connector
(the
larger
endof the
cable
into
the audio/video
connector
port on your computer.)
Just
push
the
cable
in.
2.
Plug
the
VIDEO
lN
and
AUDIO
lN
jacks
intotheVlDEO
INPUT
andAUDIO INPUTterminals
ontherear
of the
monitor.
3.Switch
the SIGNAL SELECTOR
to the VIDEO position.

SELECTOR
is

onthe
REARPANEL.
After you follow these

Whenyou finishconnecting
your monitor
accordingto the instruc-
tions,
followthese
simplesteps:
1.
Turn on the monitorby pushing
down the power
switch.The
POWER
INDICATOR
LIGHT
on thefront
of themonitor
shows
youwhen
the
power
is
on.
Always
turn
onthe
monitor
BEFORE
youturnonthe
computer.
Later,
when you're ready
to turn the power
off, just press
the
power
button again.
The buttonwill pop backup and
the power
light
will
go
out.
2.Turn on your personal
computer.
You can tell that both the
monitor
and
the computer
are
working
correctly
when.

INSTALLATION
1.
Your
setisequipped
with a polarized
AC line
plug
(one
blade
of
the
plug
iswider
thanthe
other).
This safetyfeature
allowsthe plug
to fit into the power
outlet
onlyone
way.
Should
you be
unable
to inserttheplug
fullinto
theoutlet,
try reversing
the
plug.
Should
it still
fail
to fit, contact
your
electrician.
2.Operate
the setonlyfrom a
power
sourceanindicated
onthe
set
or refer
to the user's
manual
for thisinformation lf you arenot
sureof the typeof power
suppliedto your home,
consult
your
dealeror local
power
company.
3.OverloadedAC outlets
andextension
cordsaredangerous,
and
so
arefrayedpower
cordsandbroken
plugs.

5. Foradded
protection
of thesetduringa lightning
storm
orwhen
the set
is
to be left unattended
for anextended
period
of time,
unplug
it from thewalloutlet.Thiswill prevent

underthefollowing
conditions:
A. When
the
power
cordor plug
isdamaged
or frayed.
B. lf liquidhas
been
spilledintotheset
C. lf the
sethasbeen
exposed
to rain
orwater.
D. lf the setdoes
notoperatenormallyby following
theoperat-
inginstructions.
Adjust
only those
controls
that arecovered
in the operating
instructions,
an improperadjustment
of
other controlsmay resultin damage
and will often require
extensive
work by a qualified
technician
to restore
theset
to
normal
operation.
E. lf the
set
hasbeen
droppedor thecabinethasbeen
damaged.
F. Whenthe setexhibits
a
distinct
change
inperformance
- this
indicates
aneedfor servicing.
G. lf snappingorpopping
fromthe
set
is
continuousorfrequent
whilethe setisoperating.lt isnormalforsome
setsto make
occasional
snapping
or popping
sounds,
particularly
