BASIC WEIGHING AND TOTALISING
The Compuload CL6000 is designed to weigh the load in the bucket / forks of a front end loader.
This system has been set up to weigh in a Dynamic Weighing Mode (as the load is raised). The
Compuload CL6000 has been calibrated using LIFT SPEED COMPENSATION. This means that the
CL6000 will weigh the load accurately at any engine RPM (within the calibration settings). The
CL6000 will weigh the load as the bucket is raised PAST the LIFT SPEED COMPENSATION
SWITCH.
Basic Weighing –
1. Before weighing the CL6000 should be checked to ensure that the EMPTY BUCKET is
reading ZERO.
2. With the bucket empty and fully crowded, raise the bucket up through the LIFT SPEED
COMPENSATION SWITCH at a smooth steady lifting speed. Keep lifting until the word
HELD appears in the top corner of the display. If the reading is other than 0.00 (zero),
press ZERO button for two seconds to zero display.
3. Apply the load and raise the loaded bucket up through the LIFT SPEED COMPENSATION
SWITCH at a smooth steady lifting speed. Keep lifting until the word HELD appears in the
top corner of the display. Then the weight will be displayed for a pre-determined
period (usually 10 seconds)
4. Press the LOAD key (if in HOLDS and ADDS, this step is completed automatically)
5. Press the Product ID Number that corresponds with the product you have weighed.
Press LOAD
6. If the correct Product is displayed, press the LOAD key again to confirm (or the weight
and Product will be added automatically if nothing is done after approx. 5 sec)
7. NOTE: - If a bucket or Product ID has been added into the TOTAL and you wish to
subtract and reweigh that bucket, press the ESC button within the 10 seconds to UNDO.
NOTE: - The CL6000 can also be set to Automatically accumulate the weights as the load is
raised. For AUTOMATIC TOTALISING press the TRIG button (F4), select HOLDS & ADDS using
the UP / DOWN direction arrows. Press LOAD button to save and return to the main page.
AUTOMATIC TOTALISING has now been set. After weighing, only Press the Product ID Number
and Load to confirm. Repeat process to return to MANUAL TOTALISING, by choosing HOLDS
ONLY in the menu.
8. Once the required TOTAL has been reached, a short press of the CLR button will reset
the SUB TOTAL only, and the TOTAL remains. A long press of the CLR button will reset
both the SUB TOTAL and the TOTAL. This is used if loading trucks with more than one
bin.

TIPS FOR ACCURATE WEIGHING: -
Whilst the Compuload CL6000 is designed to weigh loads as the machine is operated and the
load is lifted, some conditions may cause variations to the weight readings. Results can
generally be improved by using care whilst weighing.
I) Lift the load at YOUR NORMAL speed through the lift sensor. Start the Lift from near
ground level. Maintain a smooth steady lift until a weight reading is obtained and HELD
is displayed on the screen.
II) Open lifting valve fully to raise the load (ie: - pull the lever right back)
III) Whilst weighing have loader on a level surface
III) Avoid excessive bounce on rough surfaces whilst weighing.
IV) Regularly check the zero.
V) Not all loaders can weigh loads whilst the loader is in gear and moving along the ground.
Different conditions may cause irregular readings. Establish the weight in the bucket by
doing 5-10 lifts with a bucket of material whilst stationary. Then attempt to weigh whilst
in gear and moving. Then determine if the weights are within your accuracy
requirements.
VI) To reduce the level of TYRE BOUNCE, activate the lift lever before introducing engine
RPM.
VII) Best accuracy is obtained when the loader is at Normal Operating Temperature. Try to
warm the loader up prior to loading.
VIII) Lack of grease in the pins / articulation joints associated with the lifting arms will result
in inaccuracies. Ensure grease is applied on a regular basis to these pins in accordance
with manufacturers specifications.
