FOR RECHARGEABLE
APPLICATION
Your new Conair Haircut Kit has everything you
need to achieve professional haircuts at home.
Its powerful D.C. motor clipper with High Carbon
Stainless Steel blades for long lasting cutting
precision, features a new 5-position adjusta-
matic taper control. Plus, Turbo button for more
cutting power. Whatever hair length you set the
lever for,the clipper will automatically cut all hair
in that section at the same desired length.
Also included are 10 attachment combs for
different hair lengths, barber scissors, a barber
comb with straight teeth, 2 styling clips, a full
length barber cape, a neck brush and a hard
case for easy storage. It also comes with lubri-
cating oil, a cleaning brush and a blade guard for
easy maintenance of the clipper blades.
This appliance is intended for household use.
Use on Alternating Current (120V 60 hertz) only.
1. Before use, the clipper must be fully
charged for 16 hours.
2. After use, turn the switch to “Off” position.
Recharge batteries by connecting the charging
jack into the receptacle at the end of the clipper
and plugging the adapter unit into the electrical
outlet. The charging indicator lamp will light up
to indicate that charging has begun.
3. After recharging, store in a dry place, away
from small children.
4. Do not wrap cord around the clipper.
FOR DIRECT PLUG-IN OPERATION
1. Connect the charging jack into the receptacle
at the end of the clipper.
2. Plug the adapter unit into the electric outlet.
3. Turn the switch to “Off” position, let the clipper
charged for few minutes first.
4. Turn the switch to “On” position.
5. Unplug the adapter unit after use.
6. After use,store in a dr y place away from small
children.
7. Do not wrap cord around the clipper.
BATTERY REMOVAL
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Using a small Phillips screwdriver, remove
the screw on the bottom housing at back of the
clipper.
2. Remove the top housing by hand.
3. Now the battery is exposed so you can separate
the wire connectors. Carefully hold the wires on
each side of the connector and gently cut the
wires. The connector will separate and the bat-
teries can be removed from the inner housing.
Bring the battery to the nearest collection center
for disposal or call the toll-free RBRC information
line at 1-800-8-BATTERY. RBRC is a trademark of
The Rechargeable Battery Recycling Corporation.
DO NOT throw the batteries into the normal munic-
ipal waste system.Never use cord to pull clipper.
Never twist or otherwise obstruct cord. To store,
coil cord loosely and secure with a twist tie.
THE CONAIR GUIDE
TO CUTTING HAIR AT HOME
Before you start:
1. Inspect your clipper to make sure it is free
of hair and dirt, is properly oiled and is running
smoothly.
2. Place a towel or cape around the neck of the
person getting the haircut.
3. Seat the person so that his/her head is at
your eye level. This gives you greater visibility
and control.
4. Comb hair until it is tangle-free. Hold the
clipper in a comfortable grip. Now you’re ready
to cut.
MEDIUM TO LONG CUT
To begin, cut only a small amount of hair until
you become used to the length each attachment
leaves the hair.Try the longest attachment on the
clipper first. If you want a shorter cut, you can
then use shorter combs.
• Short attachment comb (number 1) cuts hair
to 1/8".
• Medium-Short attachment comb (number 2)
cuts hair to 1/4".
• Medium-Long attachment comb (number 3)
cuts hair to 3/8".
• Long attachment comb (number 4) cuts hair
to 1/2".
• Long attachment comb (number 5) cuts hair
to 5/8".
• Long attachment comb (number 6) cuts hair
to 3/4".
• Long attachment comb (number 7) cuts hair
to 7/8”.
• Long attachment comb (number 8) cuts hair to 1"
• Left ear attachment comb lightly tapers over
left ear.
• Right ear attachment comb lightly tapers over
right ear.
Attach combs by hold-
ing them teeth up then
snapping onto the
bottom of the clipper
blade.
NOTE: Never push or
shove the clipper through the hair to make
it move more quickly. Professional experience
shows that the clipper works most efficiently
when it cuts through the hair at its own speed.
To remove comb attach-
ments, place index
finger and thumb as
illustrated; then pull out
and up.
To begin cutting hair:
1. The hair should be combed in its natural
direction.
2. Using the largest attachment comb, trim sides
from the bottom upwards.
Hold clipper lightly against
the hair with teeth of the
attachment comb pointing
upward, yet flat against the
head. Gradually lift the clip-
per upward and outward
through the hair, trim-
ming just a little at a time.
Repeat around sides and
back of head.
3. If you want hair to be even
shorter: Apply more pres-
sure to the head with the
attachment comb that is
in place. This takes a little
practice, of course. Or, just
switch to a shorter attach-
ment comb. Remember, it’s
better to leave too much
hair than too little.
For longer hair on top,
use the barber comb and
lift hair on the top of
the head, cutting over
the comb, or hold hair
between fingers and cut
to desired length. Always
working from the front
to the back of the head,
gradually cut the hair shorter by reducing the
space between the comb or fingers and the
head. Comb often to check for uneven strands,
and to get rid of trimmed hair. For thicker hair
and more cutting power, press the turbo button
on the side.
OUTLINING
Outlining requires no attachments. Comb the
hair into the desired style, Position the clip-
per between the sideburns and the ear (see
sketch) and make sure the corner edge of the
blade is against the hairline. With the outline of
the hair as your guide, slowly move the clipper
over, around and behind the ears. For the back
of the neck and the sideburns, hold the clipper
upside down (see sketch) and, holding it against
the skin at the length desired, move the clipper
downward.
STOP. COMB. CHECK.
For best results, do as the professionals do:
comb the hair often and check results as you
comb. This way you can avoid uneven sides,
bangs, neckline, etc.
SHORTCUTS TO PERFECT FLAT
TOPS, CREW CUTS, ETC.
Always cut the hair from the back of the
neck toward the crown, using the longest
comb setting. Hold the comb attachment flat
against the head and slowly move the clipper up
through the hair. Use the same technique for the
sides, cutting from the bottom to the upper side
of the head.
For the front of the crown, cut the hair against its
natural direction. Then even it up with the sides.
For a flat top use a flat comb, not the attachment
comb. Just cut top hair by running the clipper
over the comb.
To taper hair down to the neckline, use the lower
settings attachment comb. Comb the hair and
check for uneven spots. Outline the sideburns
and neckline areas (see Outlining).

CARE OF YOUR CLIPPERS
DETACHABLE BLADE SET
Your clipper is equipped with a detachable
blade set for routine maintenance, cleaning and
replacement.
To remove the blade:
the front of the clip-
per should be facing
you, push up under
the blade with your
thumb and the blade
will pop-out (Fig. 1).
To replace the blade:
Make sure the taper
control is set to the
longest position and
with the back of the
clipper facing you,
insert the bottom side
(with screws) of the
blade into the clipper
and push down until it snaps into place (Fig. 2).
MAINTENANCE OF THE BLADE
Always apply oil to the blades before, during
and after use. This will ensure maximum cutting
performance. Hold clipper away from your body
in a downward position and apply oil on the front
and sides of the cutter blade. Wipe excess oil off
with a soft, dry cloth.
Any other servicing should be performed by an
authorized service representative or that the
appliance has no user serviceable parts. The
product is for household use. Do not pull, twist,
or wrap line cord around appliance

PARA USO SIN CABLE
Su conjunto de peluquería de Conair® tiene todo lo
que usted necesita para cortar su cabello o su barba
y lograr cortes de detalle de manera profesional, en
su casa. Incluye una cortadora recargable potente
con motor de corriente directa, cuchillas de acero
inoxidable duraderas y precisas, y una nueva palanca
reguladora de 5 posiciones. Simplemente escoja lo
largo del recorte deseado y la cortadora cortará el pelo
al nivel deseado, cualquier sea lo largo del cabello. Su
cortadora también está dotada de un botón turbo para
mayor potencia.
El conjunto de peluquería también incluye 10 peines
accesorios, tijeras de peluquero, un peine de peluquero
con dientes rectas, una capa de peluquero grande,
un cepillo para la nuca, una caja de almacenamiento
dura, dos pinzas para ayudarle a cortar el pelo más

PARA USO CON CABLE

INSTRUCCIONES DE REMOCIÓN
DE LAS BATERÍAS
1. Apague y desconecte el aparato. Usando un destor-
nillador cruciforme, remueva los tornillos ubicados
atrás del aparato.
2. Remueva la parte superior de la caja para abrir la
cortadora.
3. Ahora, la batería está descubierta, lo cual le permite
separar los conectores que juntan los alambres. Coja
los alambres por ambos lados del conector y corte los
alambres con cuidado. Los conectores se separarán,
lo cual le permitirá remover la batería. Lleve la batería
al centro de reciclaje más cercano o llame a la línea

EL CABELLO EN SU CASA
Antes de empezar:
1. Inspeccione el aparato y verifique que está
libre de cabello y de polvo, que está lubricado y
que funciona correctamente.
2. Coloque una toalla o una capa de barbero
alrededor del cuello de la persona a quien le va
a cortar el cabello.
3. Siente a la persona de tal manera que su
cabeza esté al nivel de sus ojos para mayor
visibilidad y control.
4. Desenrede el cabello, luego coja la cortadora
confortablemente en su mano. Ya está listo para
empezar.
CORTES MEDIANOS A LARGOS
Empiece por cortar poco cabello, hasta acostumbrase
al cortado de cada peine accesorio. Use el peine
accesorio más largo para empezar, luego use peines
accesorios más cortos para acortar el cabello. Su
aparato incluye los peines accesorios siguientes:
• El peine accesorio corto (No.1) corta el cabello a
1/8” (3 mm)

Para ensamblar el peine
accesorio, sosténgalo
cabeza arriba y engánche-

hacia arriba y afuera.

Empezar el corte de cabello:
1. Peine el cabello en la dirección de su creci-
miento natural.
2. Empiece el recorte a un lado de la cabeza,
usando el peine accesorio más largo, y cortando
de abajo hacia arriba.Sostenga la cortadora liger-
amente contra el cabello con los dientes del peine
apuntando hacia arriba y plano contra la cabeza.
Pase la cortadora en el cabello gradualmente
hacia arriba y hacia fuera,cortando un poco cada
vez. Repita al otro lado y atrás de la cabeza.
3. Si quiere un corte de
cabello aún más corto,
aplique más presión con
el peine accesorio. Esto
necesita al principio un
poco de práctica. También
puede cambiar el peine
accesorio por uno más
corto. Recuérdese que es
mejor dejar demasiado
cabello que muy poco.
Si quiere dejar el cabello
más largo encima de la
cabeza, use el peine de
barbero o sus dedos para
levantar el cabello y corte
a lo largo deseado. Trabaje
siempre de adelante por
atrás de la cabeza y corte
el cabello poco a poco,
reduciendo el espacio entre
sus dedos o el peine y la
cabeza. Peine con frecuen-
cia para verificar que no
hay mechones disparejos
y para eliminar el cabello
cortado.
Oprima el botón Turbo
cuando necesita más
conseguir más poder o
para cortar el cabello
espeso.
CONTORNEO
El contorneo no requiere accesorios. Peine el
cabello en el estilo deseado. Coloque la cor-
tadora entre las patillas y la oreja (véase el
dibujo) y asegúrese que la esquina de la cuchilla
se encuentre contra el nacimiento del pelo.
Mueva la cortadora lentamente sobre, alrededor
y por atrás de las orejas, siguiendo la forma
del cabello. Para cortar el pelo en la nuca y las
patillas, sostenga la cortadora al revés (véase el
dibujo), colóquela contra la piel al nivel deseado
y muévala hacia abajo.
DETÉNGASE. PEINE. VERIFIQUE.
Para resultados óptimos, siga el ejemplo de los
profesionales: peine el cabello con frecuencia
y verifique los resultados mientras peine. Esto
evitará tener lados, flequillos o líneas de nuca
disparejos.
PERFECTOS CORTES CON
CORONILLAS PLANAS, CORTES
MILITARES ETC.
Siempre corte el cabello desde la parte trasera
de la nuca hacia la coronilla, usando el peine
accesorio más largo. Sostenga el peine contra
la cabeza y mueva la cortadora lentamente en el
cabello hacia arriba. Use la misma técnica para
los lados, cortando desde abajo hasta la parte
superior lateral de la cabeza.
Para la parte delantera, corte el cabello en la
dirección contraria a la del crecimiento natural
del cabello, luego iguale los lados.
Para una coronilla plana, use un peine plano en
vez de un peine accesorio, y corte el cabello
encima del peine (véase el dibujo).
Para cortar el pelo en la nuca y en las patillas,
use el peine accesorio No.1 (Véase la sección
“Contorneo”).

suyo y ensarte la
parte inferior de las
cuchillas (el lado con
tornillos) sobre la cortadora, oprimiendo hasta
que caiga en posición (Fig.2)
MANTENIMIENTO DE LAS CUCHILLAS
Para resultados óptimos, siempre aplique aceite
lubricante en las cuchillas antes, durante y
después de usar la cortadora. Mantenga el
aparato boca abajo, lejos de su cuerpo, y aplique
aceite sobre y los lados de las cuchillas. Limpie
el exceso de aceite con un paño seco y suave.
Cualquier otro servicio debería ser realizado por
un técnico autorizado, puesto que el aparato no
incluye partes que puedan ser reparadas por
el usuario. Este aparato es para uso doméstico
únicamente. No jale, enrosque o enrolle el cable

length as the short attachment comb.
Because a different cutting edge is used in
each setting, the taper lever lengthens the
life of your blades. Packed-in hair can slow
down any clipper. To remove it, without
removing the blades. Take your cleaning brush
and brush the hair from the blades. If you do this
after every clipping, especially with heavy hair
cutting, the blades should remain free of cut hair.
If clipper stops cutting and this action doesn’t
help, you might have to loosen the blades to
remove the hair.

NOTE: Never pull on the clipper cord. Never twist
or wrap the cord around the clipper; lay it flat
with the cord coiled up when not in use.
SPECIAL OIL
To maintain the blades of your Conair®clipper
in peak condition, oil them after every three or
four haircuts. Gently place a few drops of oil on
the teeth of the blades, using the special Conair
oil included with your set. Turn the clipper on
for a minute, then turn off. This light, natural
oil was formulated specifically for the Conair®
high-speed clipper. Because it is the right oil
to use, it will not slow down the blades. Never
use any other product; there is no substitute for
Conair oil.
ADJUSTABLE TAPER LEVER
5 DETENT TAPER CONTROL
Just like levers on professional clippers, the
Conair taper lever is positioned at your thumb
so you can hold the clipper in your hand and
adjust the lever at the same time...while you’re
clipping. This taper lever eliminates the need in
some situations for an attachment comb because
it lets you gradually adjust the closeness of the
cut. For the closest cut and the shortest hair,
push taper lever up as
far as it will go to level

Usar la palanca reguladora ajustable prolonga
la vida útil de las cuchillas, puesto que nunca
usan el mismo ángulo para cortar. Su cortadora
puede perder velocidad si recortes de cabello
están trabados en las cuchillas. Para limpiarlas
sin tener que removerlas, use el cepillo de limp-
ieza provisto. Hacer esto después de cada uso,
especialmente cuando se corta mucho cabello,
mantendrá las cuchillas en condición óptima.
Si la cortadora deja de funcionar, y que esto no
soluciona el problema, desenchúfela y afloje las
cuchillas para limpiarlas.
Si la cortadora deja de cortar, pero sigue funcio-
nando, inspeccione las cuchillas. Cámbielas si
están embotadas. Puede pedir nuevas cuchillas
por correo, mandando un cheque o un giro postal
de $6,50US (incluye gastos de envío y manejo) a
la dirección más abajo.

ACEITE ESPECIAL
Para mantener las cuchillas de su cortadora en
condición óptima, lubríquelas después de tres o
cuatro cortes de cabello, aplicando unas cuan-
tas gotas de aceite lubricante en los dientes de
las cuchillas. Encienda la cortadora durante un
minuto, luego apáguela. El aceite lubricante fue
específicamente diseñado para las cortadoras
de alta velocidad de Conair®. Porque es el
aceite adecuado, no reducirá la velocidad de las
cuchillas. Nunca use otro aceite para lubricar
su aparato. No hay ningún substituto al aceite
de Conair.
PALANCA REGULADORA CON 5
POSICIONES
Al igual que las cortadoras profesionales, su
cortadora tiene una palanca reguladora ajust-
able al nivel de su dedo pulgar,la cual le permite
controlar lo largo del cortado a medida que corta
el cabello.
En algunos casos, la palanca reguladora le
permite cortar el cabello más corto o más largo,
sin que tenga que usar un peine accesorio. Para
un corte más corto, deslice la palanca hacia
arriba. El nivel más corto es el nivel 1. Para un

hojas tironean o enganchan el pelo, significa que

más pronto posible.
También se deben cambiar los peines accesorios
si se pierden o se dañan. Es más fácil cortar el
pelo con exactitud profesional con las herra-
mientas adecuadas.
Conair también fabrica una variedad de acceso-
rios para cortar el cabello. Si su conjunto para
recorte no los incluye, los puede ordenar por
separado.
Peines para recortar el cabello alrededor de la
oreja izquierda y derecha brindan un corte de
precisión sin esfuerzo. Los clips sostienen el
cabello mientras lo está seccionando. El peine
de modelar permite contornear o cortar el cabel-
lo en ángulo. La capa de peluquero asegura un
corte confortable y limpio y el cómodo bolso de
almacenamiento mantiene todo sus accesorios
en el mismo lugar.
También puede ordenar el DVD“Corte de cabello
en casa” con instrucciones fáciles de seguir. El
DVD muestra las técnicas básicas del corte de
