Das Produkt ist zum Anschluss an einen USB-Port eines Computers vorgesehen; dort
dient es als externe Soundkarte. Die Stromversorgung erfolgt direkt über USB.

Starten Sie Ihren Computer und warten Sie, bis das Betriebssystem vollständig geladen
ist.
Legen Sie dann die mitgelieferte CD in das entsprechende Laufwerk Ihres Computers ein.
Sofern das Installationsprogramm nicht automatisch startet, so öffnen Sie z.B. mit dem
Dateimanager von Windows die CD und starten Sie das darauf befindliche Installations-
programm.
Die Software fordert Sie daraufhin auf, die USB-SoundBox mit dem Computer zu verbinden.
Schließen Sie sie über das mitgelieferte USB-Kabel an einen freien USB2.0-Port Ihres
Computers an oder an den USB-Port eines USB-Hubs mit Netzteil.
Wichtig!
Die USB-SoundBox benötigt als sog. Highpower-USB-Gerät einen Strom von
mehr als 100mA. Das bedeutet, dass die USB-Soundbox an einem USB-Hub
ohne Netzteil normalerweise nicht funktioniert!
Die Treiber- und Software-Installation wird daraufhin fortgesetzt.
Am Ende der Installation ist möglicherweise ein Neustart des Betriebssystems erforderlich.
Wenn Ihr Computer bereits über eine Soundkarte verfügt (z.B. Onboard-Sound des
Mainboards), so kann bei Windows in der Systemsteuerung zwischen der bisherigen
Soundkarte und der SoundBox umgeschaltet werden.
☞In der Regel ist die USB-SoundBox nach dem Anschluss an den Computer
automatisch die bevorzugt verwendete Soundkarte.
Funktion der Bedientasten
• Die Lautstärke der Audiowiedergabe kann mit der Taste „ “ (5) verringert bzw. mit
der Taste „ “ (6) erhöht werden.
• Mit der Taste „ “ (4) wird die Audiowiedergabe stumm geschaltet („PLAY-Mute“).
• Die Taste „ “ (3) schaltet ein evtl. angeschlossenes Mikrofon stumm („REC-Mute“).
Dabei leuchtet die LED (7) auf.
Tipps & Hinweise
• Unter DOS oder im abgesicherten Modus von Windows funktioniert USB nicht (oder nur
eingeschränkt für USB-Tastatur/-Maus). Die USB-SoundBox kann hier nicht betrieben
werden.
• Wählen Sie ggf. in der Systemsteuerung von Windows die richtige Soundkarte aus (inter-
ne Soundkarte bzw. Onboard-Sound bzw. die USB-SoundBox).
Nach dem Anstecken der USB-SoundBox an den Computer ist diese normalerweise
automatisch aktiviert und funktionsbereit. Die Power-LED leuchtet auf.
• Der gewünschte Eingang (z.B. Line-In, Mic-In, S/PDIF-IN) muss in der Systemsteuerung
ausgewählt werden, bevor hier eine Aufnahme erfolgen kann.
Wenn Sie z.B. über Mikrofon eine Aufnahme machen wollen (oder dieses für eine
Sprachfunktion bei Multiplayer-Spielen nutzen möchten), so muss der Mikrofoneingang
in der Systemsteuerung ausgewählt werden.
• Mit dem bei Windows integrierten Audiorecorder können einfache Aufnahmeversuche
gemacht werden, um den Mikrofonpegel richtig einzustellen bzw. um zu überprüfen, ob
die Einstellungen in der Systemsteuerung richtig vorgenommen worden sind.
☞Bei einem zu leisen Mikrofon kann in der Systemsteuerung von Windows der
Mikrofon-Verstärker aktiviert werden.
• Auf der mitgelieferten CD finden Sie ein umfangreiches Handbuch des Herstellers in
englischer Sprache. Für das Betrachten benötigen Sie einen PDF-Viewer, z.B. den
„Acrobat Reader“, den Sie bei www.adobe.com kostenlos herunterladen können.
• Für die Wiedergabe über alle Lautsprecher ist natürlich eine dafür geeignete Software
(z.B. DVD-Abspielsoftware) und natürlich auch entsprechendes Quellmaterial (z.B.
Filme) erforderlich.
Entsorgung
Entsorgen Sie das Produkt am Ende seiner Lebensdauer gemäß den gelten-
den gesetzlichen Bestimmungen.

Switch your computer on and wait until the operating system has finished booting.
Place the CD included in the delivery in an appropriate drive on your computer. If the instal-
lation program does not start automatically, open the CD, for example, using the Windows
File Manager and start the installation program contained on the CD.
The software will then ask you to connect the USB SoundBox to the computer.
Connect it using the USB cable enclosed to a free USB2.0 port on your computer or to a
USB hub on a USB hub with power adapter.
Important!
The USB SoundBox is a so-called high-power USB device and thus requires a
current exceeding 100mA. This means that the USB SoundBox will normally
not work when it is connected to a USB hub without a power adapter!
The driver and software installation continues.
The operating system may need to be restarted, after completing the installation!
If your computer already has a sound card (e.g. Onboard Sound on the Motherboard), you
can switch between the installed sound card and the HD Sound Box in the Windows
Control Panel.
☞Normally, after connection to the computer, the HD SoundBox is the sound card
that is preferred.
Function of the Control Buttons
• The volume of the audio playback can be decreased using the „ “ button (5) or
increased with the „ “ button (6).
• The audio playback is muted using the „ “ (4 )button („PLAY-Mute“).
• The „“ (3) button mutes any microphone that may connected („REC-Mute“). The
LED (7) lights up.
Tips & Notes
• In DOS and Window’s safe mode, the USB interface will not work (or it is limited to enab-
ling the continued use of a USB mouse/keyboard). The USB SoundBox cannot be used
in this case.
• If necessary, select the correct sound card from the Windows Control Panel (internal
sound card or onboard sound or the USB SoundBox).
After connecting the USB SoundBox to the computer, it is normally activated automatically
and ready for use. The power LED lights up.
• The desired input (e.g. Line-In, Mic-In, S/PDIF-IN) must be selected in the Control Panel
before it is possible to record.
For example, if you want to record using a microphone (or use a microphone for a voice
function in multi-player games), the microphone input must be selected in the Control
Panel.
• With the sound recorder integrated in Windows, you can test the sound recording, adjust
the microphone recording level or check if the system settings are correct.
☞If the microphone is too quiet, the microphone amplifier can be activated in the
Windows Control Panel.
• On the enclosed CD, you will find a comprehensive manual in English. To view the PDF
file, you need „Acrobat Reader“, for example, which you can download free of charge at
www.adobe.com
• To play back via all of the loudspeakers, the appropriate software (e.g. DVD player soft-
ware) and appropriate sources (e.g. films) are of course required.
Disposal
Please dispose of the device when it is no longer of use, according to the cur-
rent statutory requirements.

Démarrez votre ordinateur et attendez jusqu’à ce que le système d’exploitation soit com-
plètement chargé.
Insérez ensuite le CD joint dans le lecteur correspondant de votre ordinateur. Si le pro-
gramme d’installation ne démarre pas automatiquement, ouvrez le CD p. ex. avec le ges-
tionnaire de fichiers de Windows et lancez le programme d’installation qui s’y trouve.
Le logiciel vous demandera ensuite de raccorder la SoundBox USB à l’ordinateur.
Raccorder celle-ci à un port USB2.0 libre de votre ordinateur ou à un port USB d’un con-
centrateur USB avec bloc d’alimentation en utilisant le câble USB fourni.
Important !
En tant qu’appareil USB de haute puissance, la SoundBox USB nécessite un
courant de plus de 100mA. Ce qui signifie que la SoundBox USB ne peut nor-
malement pas fonctionner lorsqu’il est raccordé à un concentrateur USB sans
bloc d’alimentation !
L’installation des pilotes et du logiciel est alors poursuivie.
Après l´installation, il faut, le cas échéant, redémarrer le système d’exploitation.
Si votre ordinateur dispose déjà d’une carte son (par ex. carte son onboard de la carte
mère), cela vous permet, avec Windows par ex., de commuter dans le Panneau de confi-
guration entre l’ancienne carte son et la SoundBox.
☞Après son raccordement à l’ordinateur, la SoundBox USB est généralement la
carte son prioritaire.
Fonction des touches de réglage
• Le volume de la lecture audio peut être réduit avec la touche „ “ (5) et augmenté avec
la touche „ “ (6).
• La touche „ “ (4) permet de couper le son de la lecture audio („PLAY-Mute“).
• La touche „ “ (3)permet de mettre en silencieux un microphone branché („REC-
Mute“). La LED (7) s’allume alors.
Conseils et indications
• Normalement, USB ne fonctionne pas sous DOS ou en mode sécurisé de Windows (ou
uniquement de façon limitée pour le clavier et la souris USB). La SoundBox USB ne peut
pas être utilisée ici.
• Choisissez, si nécessaire, dans le panneau de configuration de Windows la carte son
correcte (carte son interne ou carte son Onboard ou SoundBox USB).
Après le raccordement de la SoundBox USB à l’ordinateur, celle-ci est normalement acti-
vée automatiquement. La LED d’alimentation s’allume.
• Sélectionner l’entrée souhaitée (par ex. Line-In, Mic-In, S/PDIF-IN) dans le Panneau de
configuration, avant d’effectuer tout enregistrement.
Si vous souhaitez par ex. effectuer un enregistrement à l’aide du microphone (ou d’utiliser
ce dernier pour une fonction vocale dans des jeux multijoueurs), l’entrée microphone doit
alors être sélectionnée dans le Panneau de configuration.
• Avec l’enregistreur audio intégré dans Windows, vous pouvez effectuer des essais d’en-
registrement afin de régler le volume du microphone ou afin de vérifier si les réglages
dans le panneau de configuration ont été correctement effectués.
☞Si le microphone est trop bas, l’amplificateur de microphone peut être activé
dans le panneau de configuration de Windows.
• Sur le CD fourni, vous trouverez un manuel détaillé du fabricant en anglais. Pour afficher
les fichiers PDF, il faut par ex. „Acrobat Reader“, que vous pouvez télécharger gratuite-
ment sur www.adobe.com.
• Un logiciel (par ex. un logiciel de lecture de DVD) et le bien sûr le matériel source (par
ex. des films) sont requis pour pouvoir effectuer une lecture sur tous les haut-parleurs.
Elimination
Il convient de procéder à l’élimination de l’appareil au terme de sa durée de vie
conformément aux prescriptions légales en vigueur.

Start uw computer en wacht tot het besturingssysteem volledig is geladen.
Plaats dan de meegeleverde CD in het betreffende station van uw computer. Indien het
installatieprogramma niet automatisch start, dan opent u, bijv. met het bestandsbeheer van
Windows, de CD en start u het zich daarop bevindende installatieprogramma.
De software verzoekt u vervolgens om de USB-SoundBox met de computer te verbinden.
Sluit het via de meegeleverde USB-kabel aan op een vrije USB2.0-poort van uw computer
of aan de USB-poort van een USB-hub met netvoeding.
Belangrijk!
De USB-SoundBox heeft als zgn. Highpower-USB-apparaat een stroom nodig
van meer dan 100 mA. Dat betekent dat de USB-SoundBox aan een USB-hub
zonder netvoeding doorgaans niet functioneert!
De stuurprogramma- en software-installatie wordt vervolgens voortgezet.
Aan het einde van de installatie is een herstart van het besturingssysteem eventueel nood-
zakelijk.
Als uw computer reeds een soundkaart heeft (bijv. onboard-sound van het moederbord),
dan kan bij Windows in het configuratiescherm tussen de eerdere soundkaart en de
SoundBox overgeschakeld worden.
☞Doorgaans is de USB-SoundBox na de aansluiting aan de computer automa-
tisch de bij voorkeur gebruikte soundkaart.
Werking van de bedieningstoetsen
• Het volume van de audio-weergave kan met de toets „ “ (5) verminderd ofwel met de
toets „ “ (6) verhoogd worden.
• Met de toets „ “ (4) wordt de audio-weergave gedempt („PLAY-Mute“).
• De toets „ “ (3) dempt een eventueel aangesloten microfoon („REC-Mute“). Daarbij
licht de LED (7) op.
Tips & aanwijzingen
• Onder DOS of in een beveiligde modus van Windows werkt USB niet (of alleen beperkt
voor USB-toetsenbord/muis). De USB-SoundBox kan hier niet gebruikt worden.
• Kies eventueel in het configuratiescherm van Wndows de juiste soundkaart uit (interne
soundkaart resp. Onboard-Sound ofwel de USB-SoundBox).
Na het aansluiten van de USB-SoundBox op de computer is deze doorgaans automa-
tisch geactiveerd en operationeel. De power-LED gaat branden.
• De gewenste ingang (bijv. Line-In, Mic-In, S/PDIF-IN) moet in het configuratiescherm uit-
gekozen worden, voordat hier een opname kan geschieden.
Als u bijv. via de microfoon een opname wilt maken (of deze voor een stemfunctie bij
Multiplayer-spelen zou willen gebruiken), dan moet de microfooningang in het configura-
tiescherm uitgekozen worden.
• Met de bij Windows geïntegreerde geluidsrecorder kunnen eenvoudige opnametests
worden gemaakt, om het microfoonniveau juist in te stellen ofwel om te controleren of de
instellingen in het configuratiescherm juist verricht werden.
☞Bij een te zwakke microfoon kan in het configuratiescherm van Windows de
microfoonversterker geactiveerd worden.
• Op de meegeleverde CD vindt u een uitgebreide Engelstalige handleiding van de fabri-
kant. Om de PDF’s te bekijken hebt u een PDF-Viewer nodig, bijv. de „Acrobat Reader“,
die u gratis via www.adobe.com kunt downloaden.
• Voor de weergave via alle luidsprekers is natuurlijk een daarvoor geschikt software (bijv.
DVD-afspeelsoftware) en natuurlijk ook overeenkomstig bronmateriaal (bijv. film) nood-
zakelijk.
Verwijderen
Verwijder het product aan het einde van zijn levensduur in overeenstemming
met de geldende wettelijke bepalingen.
