Our Break Out Box is used in addition to or as a replacement for
speaker/microphone unit(s) in a Speech Transfer System. It silences
loudspeaker noise and allows sta to hear clearly through a headset.
Two versions are available:
STS-SJB: Uses 3.5mm audio jacks for connection to a headset.
STS-SJB-RJ: Uses an RJ11 socket for connection to either the Sennheiser
SC 230 headset or Sennheiser SC 260 headset, utilising the Sennheiser
CSTD 08 connection cable for easy setup.

1. Headphone Port: 3.5mm audio jack for headphones.
2. Microphone Port: 3.5mm audio jack for microphones.
3. Mute: Press this button in to mute a connected microphone.

1. Off/On: Alternate between Speech Transfer System speaker/
microphone unit(s) (“O”) and a connected headset (“On”).
2. Headset Port: RJ11 headset port.
3. Mute: Press this button in to mute a connected microphone.

1. Microphone Port: Euroblock for microphone.
2. Speaker Port: Euroblock for speaker.
3. Speech Transfer System Amplifier [STS-A31H] Connection Cable:
Cable terminated with x2 Euroblocks.
The yellow and black cable is for the amplier speaker port, and
the red and black cable for the amplier microphone port.

Ensure the following Speech Transfer System components are
accessible:
• Speech Transfer System Amplier (STS-A31H).
• A speaker/microphone unit(s) such as the Sta Loudspeaker Unit
(STS-SU1-G).
1. Disconnect the microphone/speaker’s Euroblock connections from
the Speech Transfer System Amplier (STS-A31H).
2. Insert the Euroblock connections from step 1 to the speaker and
microphone ports on the rear of the Break Out Box.
3. Connect the Break Out Box’s amplier connection cable to the
Speech Transfer System Amplier (STS-A31H) to replace the
connectors removed in step 1.
4. Connect a headset/headphones/microphone to the Break Out Box.
• STS-SJB uses two 3.5mm audio jacks.
• STS-SJB-RJ uses an RJ11 connection (note: compatible with
RJ-9) for use with the Sennheiser SC-260 & SC-230 headsets.
Use a Sennheiser CSTD 08 connection cable for quick connect
compatability.
5. Setup is now complete.
