Applying the system
Step 1: Measure the stoma and select the products
■Measure the stoma w th a stoma measur ng gu de
■Select the proper s ze ConvaTec Moldable Technology™
sk n barr er, SUR-FIT Natura®Low-Pressure Adaptor, and
SUR-FIT Natura®dra nable pouch
■Coupl ng r ng s zes should all be the same
Step 2: Apply the SUR-FIT Natura®Low-Pressure
Adaptor to the sk n barr er
NOTE: When remov ng the skn barr er from the package,
DO NOT remove the clear release l ner on the c rcular
adhesve or the wh te release paper from the flex ble
fabr c collar.
■Attach the SUR-FIT Natura®Low-Pressure Adaptor
to the ConvaTec Moldable Technology™sk n barr er
by al gn ng the coupl ng r ng flange on the sk n barr er
w th the coupl ng r ng on the adaptor
■Press the two coupl ng r ngs together, beg nn ng
at the bottom. Follow the edge of the r ngs w th your
f ngers, snapp ng the r ngs together. Several “cl cks”
may be heard

Step 3: Prepare and custom ze the sk n barr er
■Place your thumbs or f ngers at the center of the
starter hole and beg n to roll back the adhes ve to form
an open ng that f ts the s ze and shape of the stoma.
The adhes ve should roll back eas ly. It s mportant
to not stretch the adhes ve
■As you shape and roll back the adhes ve, per od cally
place the ConvaTec Moldable Technology™sk n barr er
over the stoma, so t can be v ewed through the clear
release l ner w ndow
■Once the sk n barr er s accurately molded to the shape
and s ze of the stoma, proceed to the next step
NOTE: The use of scssors w th a moldable product
s not recommended.
Step 4: Apply the sk n barr er
■Remove the clear release l ner from the
ConvaTec Moldable Technology™sk n barr er
■Immed ately apply the sk n barr er, center ng the open ng
over the stoma. Press the sk n barr er nto place
■The rolled adhes ve should be
adjusted to the stoma to create a
snug f t between the adhes ve and
the stoma
■Press down on the rolled adhes ve
along the ent re outs de of the stoma
to ensure a good seal. Then, hold the
adhes ve n place for at least 30 seconds
to secure the sk n barr er to the sk n
■Remove the wh te paper from the back of the
hydrocollo d fabr c collar and press t aga nst
the sk n, smooth ng out any wr nkles

Step 5: Apply the pouch
NOTE: To beg n, allow a small amount of a r nto the pouch
by gently expand ng t.

SUR-FIT Natura®pouch w th the flange
coupl ng r ng on the SUR-FIT Natura®
Low-Pressure Adaptor
■Press the two r ngs together, begnnng at the bottom
and c rcl ng around to the top. Several “cl cks” may be
heard. Gently tug on the pouch to be sure the two
p eces are securely connected
Step 6: Seal the Inv s Close®Ta l Closure
■Roll or fold up the ta l closure four t mes and press the
nterlock ng closures together. You may hear a soft “cl ck”
when you lock them nto place
■Wrap the secur ty flap over the folded
ta l and press down to secure
