Creation Hardware Kevo User manual

Thank you for purchasing the Kevo Vacuum former.
Following is a quick start guide to get you forming
new parts right away. Please note a video explaining
these steps is available at CreationHardware.com/
video
•Install the oven posts (3/8” bolts as shown here).
Slide the oven rack with posts back into your oven,
then pre-heat your oven to 300 Fahrenheit or 148
Celsius.

•Place the object to be molded onto the perforated
surface of the vacuum former:
•Place a plastic sheet (included with the kit) into
the mold grip and tighten the down the wing-nuts -
snug will work they don’t have to be too tight.

•Connect your vacuum to the Kevo as shown here
(for larger vacuums use included vacuum
adapters):
•Insert the mold grip with plastic into your pre-
heated oven:

•Tu r n o n t h e v a c u u m a n d w a t c h f o r t h e p l a s t i c t o
heat and soften in the oven.
•Caution please where gloves for this part the mold
grip will be hot! When the plastic is soft take it
from the oven and place it over the object on the
Kevo with the vacuum running.
•The plastic will quickly form around your object
(as shown here) and after several seconds the
plastic will cool and can be removed from the
mold grip. Mold grip may still be hot.

Vacuum forming is bit of an art and may require a few tries
to get the hang of it, but with a little practice you will be
forming new parts in no time.
