Crua Hybrid Instruction Manual
The Tent/Hammock, sleeping bag and mattress will come in 3 separate bags.
Tent/Hammock:
In the bag are:
•Tent/Hammock
•Flysheet
•Stakes
•Poles
•Ties

STEP 1
•Roll out fully
•Connect Spreader Bars and click the button through
STEP 2
•Insert 3 poles into pole sleeves (note 2 x longer poles at head end, shorter pole at foot end)
STEP 3
•Place poles in eyelets and clip poles at side.

STEP 4 (For tent use)
•Place tent on ground/area to pitch. Use stakes to tie back both guy-lines at head end.
Straighten out Hybrid and repeat at foot end
STEP 5
•If using without flysheet, the tent is pitched
•Ensure that extra fabric from the floor is tucked underneath so water doesn’t pool

STEP 6 (Flysheet)
•To add the flysheet, simply find the Velcro on the underside of the flysheet and match with
the Velcro on the pole sleeves as shown
STEP 7
•Buckle in the sides (head and foot of tent). Use the orange elastic bands attached to flysheet
to stake down (as seen below). Velcro down the sides and open the vents.

STEP 8 (For hammock use)
•Find suitably spaced trees
•Tie tree huggers around each tree
as shown –they can be adjusted
using the loops as shown
STEP 9
•Straighten out ropes and attach
the carabiner to loop as shown.
Repeat at other side. Note, please
ensure that it is tied tightly
•You can stabilise by adjusting the
position of the spreader bars
STEP 10
•If using the flysheet, match the
Velcro patches on the 4 corners of
the pole sleeve to the underside of
the flysheet
•Use Velcro patches at either side
to secure flysheet.

STEP 11
•Secure guy-lines from elastic ties on hammock ropes (as demonstrated below)
•Tie around ropes at either end using the orange ties provided

Mattress
The Hybrid mattress is self-inflating so
open the valve and inflate. If you wish
to inflate further you can blow into the
valve.
Just release the valve and roll up to
deflate
Sleeping Bag
A ‘Mummy-style’ sleeping bag is
included. This sleeping bag is exactly
customized to the size of the Hybrid for
use in perfect harmony with the Hybrid
system.

Removal of hanging system
Users have the option of reducing weight by temporarily removing the hanging system from the
Hybrid. Simply the knots at the end of the ropes. This will reduce weight by more than half if the use
is weight sensitive and the user wants to use as a tent only. The hanging system can be re-attached
afterwards.
Note: When reattaching please make sure firm and secure knot is reapplied in the exact same
position on each rope.
