Remove all packaging from the appliance.
Wash the ceramic pot and glass lid in hot soapy water, with a sponge or dish cloth,
rinse thoroughly and dry.
Never use the slow cooker with an empty ceramic cooking bowl. Using
the Slow Cooker empty can cause the ceramic bowl to crack.
How to use your Slow Cooker
Place the base on a dry, level, heat resistant surface, away from the edge of the work
surface. Do not use on the floor.
Place your ingredients into the ceramic pot, and place the pot inside the base.
Fit the glass lid to the top of the ceramic pot.
If you need to pre-cook or brown foods prior to slow cooking, this must be done in a
separate pan.
Do not try to brown or pre-cook food in the Slow Cooker.
Ensure the control dial is set to the OFF position. Then plug the unit into the mains
socket.
Set the control dial to LOW, AUTO or HIGH and cook for the recommended time given
in your recipe.
Switch off and unplug the Slow Cooker after cooking and remove the ceramic pot
using oven gloves.
Always place the ceramic pot on a heat proof mat or surface.
Hints and Tips
For best results the Slow Cooker should be at least half full.
Slow cooking retains moisture in the pot. If you wish to reduce the moisture, remove
the lid after the recipe is cooked and switch on to the “HIGH” setting until the recipe
has reduced.
Do not remove the lid unnecessarily as this will cause the heat to escape and effect
the cooking time.
Many recipes require all day cooking. If you do not have time to prepare food that
morning, prepare the night before and store food in a covered container in the
refrigerator. Add the food to the ceramic pot and add the required stock.
Before First Use
!

05
Most meat and vegetable recipes require 8-10 hours on LOW setting, 5-7 hours on
AUTO setting and 4-6 hours on HIGH.
Some ingredients are not suitable for slow cooking; pasta, seafood, milk and cream
should be added towards the end of the cooking time.
Many things can affect how quickly the recipe will cook, water and fat content, initial
temperature of the food and size of the food.
Food cut into small pieces will cook more quickly. A degree of trial and error will be
required to optimise the full potential of your Slow Cooker.
Root vegetables usually take longer to cook than meat. Arrange root vegetables at the
bottom of the pot with meat on top.
Cleaning
The ceramic pot is dishwasher safe or can also be cleaned with warm soapy water.
To remove any stuck on food from the ceramic cooking pot, soak the ceramic pot
overnight in soapy water and rinse the next day.
The exterior of the Slow Cooker can be wiped with a soft damp cloth and dried.
Do not use harsh abrasive cleaners or scouring pads to clean any part of the slow
cooker as it will damage the surface.
Never submerge the base of the Slow Cooker in water or any other liquid.
