The term “engraving pen” in the
warnings refers to your battery-operated
(cordless) engraving tool.
WORK AREA SAFETY
Keep work area clean and well-lit.
Cluttered or dark areas invite to
accidents. Do not operate engraving tool
in explosive atmospheres, such as in the
presence of flammable liquids, gases or
dust. Engraving pen create sparks which
may ignite the dust or fumes.
Keep children and bystanders away
while operating an engraving pen.
Distractions can cause you to lose
control.
BATTERY SAFETY
• Supervise children
• Only use 5V (volts) chargers with this
tool
• Do not expose tool/charger/battery to
rain
• Do not charge battery in damp or wet
environments.
• Do not use the charger when damaged
• Do not use the charger when cord or
plug is damaged; it might damage the
battery lifetime
• Do not disassemble the battery
• Always turn off the tool before
changing accessories, changing collets,
or servicing the tool.
PERSONAL SAFETY
Stay alert, watch what you are doing and
use common sense when operating an
engraving pen. Do not use an engraving
pen while you are tired or under the
influence of drugs, alcohol or
medication. A moment of inattention
while operating an engraving pen may
result in serious personal injury.
Use personal protective equipment.
Always wear eye protection. Protective
equipment such as dust mask, non-skid
safety shoes, hard hat, or hearing
protection used for appropriate
conditions will reduce personal injuries.
Make sure the accessory you chose to
use with your engraving pen is properly
adjusted before turning it on.
Do not overreach. Keep proper footing
and balance at all times. This enables
better control of the engraving pen in
unexpected situations.
Dress properly. Do not wear loose
clothing or jewelry. Keep your hair,
clothing and gloves away from moving
parts. Loose clothes, jewelry or long hair
can be caught in moving parts.

pen will do the job better and safer at
the rate for which it was designed.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
USING THE ENGRAVING PEN
CUSTOMIZER™
Thank you for purchasing the
Customizer™ Engraving Pen.
This product was designed by many DIY
lovers who needed a portable and
cordless engraving tool for everyday use.
This tool was designed to give you the
ultimate performance when working on
projects.
ENGRAVING PEN INTRODUCTION
The Engraving Pen has a small, powerful
electric universal motor, is comfortable in
the hand, and is made to accept a large
variety of accessories including abrasive
wheels, drill bits, wire brushes, polishers,
engraving cutters, router bits, cutting
wheels and attachments. Accessories
come in a variety of shapes and permit
you to do a number of different jobs.
As you become familiar with the range of
accessories and their uses, you will learn
just how versatile the Engraving Pen is.
You’ll see dozens of uses you hadn’t
thought of before.
The real secret of the Engraving Pen is its
speed and rechargeable battery.
To understand the advantages of its high
speed, you have to know that the
standard portable electric drill runs at
speeds up to 2,800 revolutions per
minute.
The Engraving Pen operates at speeds
up to 25,000 revolutions per minute. The
typical electric drill is a
low- speed, high torque tool; this
Engraving Pen is just the opposite – a
high-speed, low torque tool. The major
difference to the user is that in the
high-speed tools, the speed combined
with the accessory mounted in the collet
does the work. You don’t apply pressure
to the tool, but simply hold and guide it.
In the low-speed tools, you not only
guide the tool, but also apply pressure to
it, as you do, for example, when drilling a
hole.
This high speed, along with its compact
size and wide variety of special
accessories and attachments, that
makes the Engraving Pen different from
other tools. The speed enables it to do
jobs low-speed tools cannot do, such as
engraving steel, engraving glass, etc.
HOW TO USE THE CUSTOMIZER
1) Open the box.
2) Take out the Customizer and the
plastic tray to get the pieces below it.
3) Grab the USB type-C Charging Cable
and connect it to the Customizer.
4) Charge the Customizer before using it
for at least 8 hours. It’s recommended to
charge it with a phone charger.
5) Once charged, disconnect the
Customizer.
Warning: Before using the engraving tool read
carefully “Personal Safety Section”(Page 01).
6) Take the hex key included in the box
and loosen the Allen grub screw on the
chuck.
7) Select a bit and put it into the chuck.
8) Tighten the Allen grub screw with the
hex key.
9) Turn on the Customizer with the
Power Button on the display.
Warning: Make sure the bit is well tightened
before turning the engraving pen on.
10) Choose the speed you required and
use the Customizer.

The first step in learning to use the
Engraving Pen is to get the “feel” of it.
Hold it in your hand and feel its weight
and balance. Feel the taper of the
housing. This taper permits the
engraving pen to be grasped much like a
pen or pencil (Figure A).
Always hold the tool away from your
face. Accessories can be damaged
during handling, and can fly apart as
they come up to speed. This is not
common, but it does happen.
Practice on scrap materials first to see
how the engraving pen's high-speed
action performs. Keep in mind that the
work is done by the speed of the tool and
by the accessory in the chuck.
You should not lean on o push the tool
during use.
Instead, lower the spinning accessory
lightly to the work and allow it to touch
the point at which you want cutting (or
sanding or etching, etc.) to begin.
Concentrate on guiding the tool over the
work using very little pressure from your
hand. Allow the accessory to do the
work.
Usually, it is best to make a series of
passes with the tool rather than attempt
to do all the work in one pass. To make a
cut, for example, pass the tool back and
forth over the work, as you would do a
small paint brush. Cut a little material on
each pass until you reach the desired
depth. For most work, the gentle touch is
best. With it, you have the best control,
are less likely to make errors, and will get
the most efficient work out of the
accessory.
For best control in close work, grip the engraving
pen like a pencil between your thumb and forefinger.

To select the right speed for each job, use
a practice piece of material.
The tool is switched on by pushing the
green button on the display
TO TURN THE TOOL “ON”, push the
button one time.
TO TURN THE TOOL “OFF” push the
button four times. It will go from the
highest rotary speed, until the lowest,
and it will finally turn off.
VARIABLE SPEED SELECTOR
Your engraving pen is equipped with a
three-speed configuration to allow you
to determine the proper speed, based on
the material being worked and the type
of accessory being used.
The operating speed can be changed by
the green button on the display. To
change the rotary speed, just push the
green button (from one to three times
according to the speed you require). The
display will show lights depending on
which speed is working
First light (highest rotary speed):
18000-25000r/min.
Second light (medium rotary speed):
15000-18000rpm/min
Third light (lowest rotary speed):
5000-15000rpm/min

high-performance rotary tool motor.
This motor expands the versatility of the
rotary tool by driving additional
attachments.

Your tool is equipped with advanced
electronics that protect the Li-Ion cells in
the battery from damage due to excessi-
ve operating temperature and/or current
draw. If the warning symbol illuminates
red and/or the tool stops working during
heavy use, this most likely indicates that
the Li-Ion cells are near their maximum
operating temperature, and the battery
pack should either be changed or
allowed to cool to ambient temperature
before continuing use. If the tool auto-
matically turns off due to overload condi-
tions, the switch must be turned off for a
few seconds to allow the circuit to reset
before continuing use.
