Locate the position of the outer brackets 6” from each end of the
track. See Figure 1.
If the drapery is center draw, use the centerline of the window
opening as a reference. For side draw applications, adjust track
position if necessary to accomodate for drapery stackback.

Some advertised drapery heights are not precise. To verify
the drapery height (DH), bottom clearance (BC), and track exposure
(TE). See Figure 2. Pay close attention to the bottom of the track
location, as it differs based on chosen fascia. See Figure 3. Be aware
of the desired pin setting, as the track exposure may be a negative
number for front mount applications. See Figure 4.
Minimum track exposure for under mount applications is 1.25”.
Recommended bottom clearance is 0.5” to 1”.

Using a pencil, mark the location on the ceiling you want the center
of the track to be mounted. See Figure 6.
Next, determine the distance from the wall you want your drapery
track. Consider all factors, such as fullness of the drapery, fascia
return depth, drapery return length and drapery overlap at the
window sill. Decide on your distance carefully. After the track
installed, the clearance cannot be adjusted easily. We recommend
1” of clearance between the top of the drapery to the wall when the
drapery is on its open (“stacked back”) state. See Figure 7.
2. CHOOSE SPACER
Prior to mounting the camlocks to the ceiling, make sure the
appropriate spacers are chosen depending on the size of your
fascia. If fascia is not being used for this application, spacers are
not required. See Figure 8.
Figure 6
Figure 7
Figure 8
Mark bracket placement for center and all other brackets carefully
along the ceiling. Be sure measurements ensure camlock installation
will be in a straight line. We suggest using a laser level in this process.
Find where the center of your track (CT) will be placed by measuring
the window opening (WO) and divide by two. See Figure 5.

5. INSTALL THE CAMLOCKS
Using the centerline of the window and the measurements taken,
locate and install the outer camlocks of your track 6” inboard from
the outside of your track. See Figure 9.
For side draw applications, the track may not be symmetrically
located over the window to accommodate the stackback of the
drapery and the window overlap.
Be careful to install the camlocks in a straight line. We suggest the
continued use of a laser level during this process.

Figure 10 - Use wall anchor in ceiling
A) If using wall anchors
for each wall anchor. In cases where the anchor needs to be
installed through drywall mud and drywall tape, a 1/4” pilot hole
reduce the likelihood of wall anchors stripping. Avoid stripping
the anchors by reducing torque level on your drill. Place the
appropriate spacer (if using a fascia) and the camlock against the
ceiling, lining the hole up with the anchor. Screw in the screw to
secure. Do not over torque. There should be no movement of the
washer or spacer after installation, but the camlock arm should
move freely. See Figure 10.
B) If drilling into a joice, no wall anchors are necessary. Carefully
drill a pilot hole for all screws. Use a 7/64” or 3/32” drill bit for
the pilot holes if using the provided screws. Place the appropriate
spacer (if using a fascia) and camlock against the ceiling, lining the
hole in the camlock up with the holes in the wall. Screw in the screw
until secure. Make sure your screw has solid embedment into the
joice. Do not over torque. There should be no movement by the
spacer or the washer after installation, but the camlock arm should
move freely. See Figure 11. Figure 11 - Use drill bit in ceiling
C) If drilling into something other than drywall or a joice,
consider the substrate and pre-drill holes accordingly. If necessary,
use wall anchors. Place the spacer (if using fascia) and camlock
against the ceiling, lining up the hole in the camlock with the hole in
the ceiling. Screw in the screw until secure. Make sure your screw
has solid embedment into the ceiling. Do not over torque. There
should be no movement by the spacer or washer after installation,
but the camlock arm should move freely. See Figure 12.
Figure 12 - Ceiling mount camlock
Once the outer camlocks have been installed, install each subsequent
camlock using the recommended spacing found on Table 1 below.
Follow steps A, B, or C above to install the remaining camlocks
along the ceiling.

Once the camlocks have been installed, twist the camlock to the
open position (arm facing straight back towards the wall/window)
so it is ready to receive the track. See Figure 13.
Figure 13 - Set camlock to the open position
6. ADJUST NUMBER OF CARRIERS AND ORIENT CARRIER ARMS
It may be necessary to add or remove carriers based on the drapery
fullness.
To add or remove carriers, loosen the screw on the hardstop and
slide it out of the track. See Figure 14.
Figure 14 - Remove hardstop
Figure 15 - Add or remove pin carriers
For drapery with connected carriers, please exercise caution. To
remove carriers, simply slide the desired number to be removed
from the track and cut the string. To add carriers, the whole string
will need to be replaced. See Figure 16.
In some cases, extra carriers are left in the track for future uses and
to avoid needing to replace string spacers.
Slide the hardstop back into the track and tighten the screw. Figure 16 - Add or remove string carriers
For pleated drapery, count the number of pleats on the drapery
panels. Insert or remove carriers until the correct amount remain
in the track. See Figure 15.
Two pleats are installed on most carrier arms. Two or more pleats
may be used at the end/return of the track. On a center draw, do this
on each side.
Based on where the window is located, there may be a desire to
reverse the orientation of an overlap carrier arm set. To reverse the
orientation, unscrew each arm from the master carriers, and swap
the two. See Figure 17.
Figure 17 - Reorient carrier arms

8. INSTALL THE PIN CONNECTORS
Install the pin connectors before installing the track onto the
camlocks. See Figure 19.
7. INSTALL THE FASCIA CLIPS (Only for applications with fascia)
Figure 18 - Snap in fascia clips
If you are using a fascia, install all the fascia clips into the track
before installing the track onto the camlocks.
Snap the fascia clips into the recess at the top of the track, one side
at a time starting with the front side of the clip. See Figure 18.
Insert fascia clips at each end of the track, then every 16-32 (24-
36”) inches in between where the camlocks will rest.
9. INSTALL THE TRACK
Figure 21 - Camlock in open position with arm towards wall
Before installing the track, note the direction of the carrier arms
and what end the motor controller will be mounted.
Begin with the camlock arm in the open position. See Figure 21.

10. CONNECT THE MOTORS (Do not connect to power at this time)
On a single drapery, insert the motor shaft into the motor end of
the drapery track and twist the motor into place. The locking tab
will make an audible click when it locks into place. Proceed to step
7. See Figure 23.
Figure 23 - Attach primary motor
Figure 22 - Push track up into camlock wings then turn arm to lock
Starting in the middle, secure the track on each of the camlocks.
Push the track upward so the camlock features rest in the groove on
the top of the track.
Turn the camlock arm so the features inside the top track groove
bite in and hold the track in place. See Figure 22.
Next, insert Motor 2 (small) into the room-side track motor end
and twist the motor into place. The locking tab will make an audible
click when it locks into place. See Figure 25.
If you do no have a sensor box, plug the cord from Motor 2 into the
bottom of Motor 1. If you do have a sensor box, proceed to step 11.
See Figure 26.

10
11. INSTALL AND CONNECT THE SENSOR BOX (Optional)
Place and install the sensor box behind the drapery in a place where
the Pendant is still accessible to the end user. Make sure to install
the sensor box at a height where both Primary and Secondary
motor cables can reach the sensor box. This also needs to be at a
location close enough to the window where the sensor box can
detect natural light coming in from the window. See Figure 27.
Figure 27 - Sensor box placement
Figure 28 - Attach sensor box to wall
Screw the wall plate into the desired location, using wall anchors if
necessary, then slide the sensor box over the wall plate until it sits
securely. See Figure 28.
On a single drapery, plug the motor into the Motor 1 slot. See
Figure 29.
Figure 30 - Two motors plugged into slots
Figure 29 - Motor plugged into slot
On a dual drapery, plug the room-side drapery into the Motor 1
slot and the window-side drapery into the Motor 2 slot. See Figure
30.

11
12. ATTACH THE DRAPERY (Optional)
Snap or hook the drapery into each carrier, starting with the master
carrier arm(s) and ending with the end(s) of the track.
Wrap and pin the remaining fabric around the motor using the pin
connectors, hiding it from plain sight, but making sure the Pendant
is accessible. See Figure 31.
13. ATTACH THE BATON (Optional)
If using a front baton, the plastic reinforcer must be sewn into the
drapery and the grommet punched in advance of the drapery being
installed. See Figure 33.
For a front mounted baton, slide the plastic wedge through
the slat in the carrier arm. Place the plastic baton hook over the
grommet and screw in the screw to secure.
Figure 31 - Hook or snap drapery onto carriers
Figure 33 - Baton view
In some cases, it is desirable to connect the return of the drapery to
the wall with an eye hook. Screw an eye hook into the wall where
the last pin will go, then insert the pin through the eyelet. See Figure
32.
For a back mounted baton, locate the eyelet under the carrier
arms and connect the baton with a clip. See Figure 34.
