Congratulations on choosing
a fully digital sound
processing hearing system.
It will give you back a quality
of life that you thought had
been lost.
Please read the following instructions carefully in order to understand all
the features of your hearing instrument. This will ensure that it will
always function to your entire satisfaction.
Your hearing aid has been adjusted in accordance with your individual
hearing loss.
Introduction
Please note: A hearing aid will not restore your hearing; however, when
fitted properly and used regularly, it will improve your communication
ability. Your hearing aid may only be a part of your hearing rehabilitation.
You may also need auditory training and instructions in lip reading. or
further information, please contact your hearing aid professional.
Children With earing Loss
In addition to seeing a physician for a medical evaluation, a child with a
hearing loss should be directed to an audiologist for evaluation and
rehabilitation since hearing loss may cause problems in language
development and the educational growth of a child. An audiologist is
qualified by training and experience to assist in the evaluation and
rehabilitation of a child with a hearing loss.

The DAC Range
Xenon
Neon
The Krypton range of hearing devices use a unique signal processing
strategy known as ADRO™, a technique developed for cochlear i plants
that is now available in hearing aids. The Krypton range auto atically
onitors a plified output levels in each of the 32 channels, adjusting
gain when needed in order to aintain a desired output range across the
frequency that is unique to the individual. The Krypton range includes an
adaptive feedback anager in each of its three e ories, and is based
on the latest state-of-the-art DSP chip.
The Xenon is a highly versatile hearing instru ent range with state-of-the-
art 100% digital signal processing. Featuring 14-band filters with 3-
channel WDRC design, this offers axi u fitting flexibility for a wide
range of hearing losses. Xenon instru ents have features that opti ise
speech intelligibility and hearing co fort in a wide variety of acoustic
environ ents. A unique accli atisation feature of the fitting software
acco odates different levels of hearing instru ent experience.
The Neon is a state-of-the-art hearing instru ent range with 100% digital
signal processing. Featuring 9-band filters with ulti-channel WDRC
design, Neon offers axi u fitting flexibility for even severe to profound
hearing losses. The Neon range has features that opti ise speech
intelligibility and hearing co fort in a wide variety of acoustic
environ ents. Neon instru ents can be progra ed with up to 3
e ories with our easy-to-use PureFit 4 fitting software – ideally suited

Operating Your Telecoil System
Hearing With Integrated Telecoil
By sliding switch (4) to position T, the internal induction-coil is operated
and the microphone is deactivated. As a result, only signals coming from
special induction loops, e.g. in churches and public buildings, are
received. n assembly halls that do not have an induction-loop, you should
sit near the speaker.
Also, the loud-speaker of the telephone radiates electromagnetic signals.
During telephone use, select the T setting and put the receiver of the
phone on the hearing aid. As a result speech intelligibility will be
improved. f the phone radiates insufficient electromagnetic signals, you
may have to alter the switch to the M setting. n the M position the
microphone is operational and the surrounding sounds can be heard.
Use Of Mobile Phones
Today's mobile phones radiate strong electromagnetic fields which may
interfere with the hearing aid. Should you wish to use a mobile phone,
you can remove the earmould and you can use the telephone without the
hearing aid.
You can also use the phone on the non-aided ear, or you can ask your
mobile phone dealer for appropriate accessories for your phone. Some
models may feature Mobile nterference Protection (refer to your
hearing care professional).

Maintenance & Tips
To achieve maximum benefit from your hearing aid, you must wear it
regularly.
Please take care that products like aftershave, lotions and ointments do
not come into contact with your hearing aid.
Be certain to remove your hearing aid before washing your hair, taking a
bath, showering or entering a steam-bath or sauna.
Remove your hearing aid before electromagnetic or RI ( agnetic
Resonance Imaging) therapies.
Do not try to repair your hearing aid yourself!
Consult a physician if you find a foreign object in your ear canal, if you
experience skin irritation or if excessive wax accumulates with the use of
the hearing aid.
Cleaning Your Instrument
It is very important to keep your hearing instruments as clean as
possible. Wax build up is the number one cause of instrument failure. To
avoid potential costly repairs, please clean your instruments daily. Wipe
your instruments clean with a soft dry cloth, carefully, removing any
traces of wax and debris. Please use only cleaning products that are
recommended by your hearing aid specialist. Your instrument may be
equipped with special wax protection devices. Please ask your hearing
healthcare professional to demonstrate how to clean these special
features.
Keep a positive attitude.
Start with a comfortable volume in a quiet environment.
Learn to recognise familiar sounds around your home before
wearing your hearing aid in more difficult listening situations.
To reach the most natural and optimal listening performance, the
use of two hearing aids is recommended. Guidance from your
hearing aid professional is essential.
