Connection Diagram
1. Connect camera and TDM08-SDI-TX’s VIDEO IN using coax cable.
- If non PoC Camera: Supply the individual power to camera. To control the camera’s PTZ
and/or OSD, connect the RS485 line between camera and TDM08-SDI-TX.
- If PoC Camera: Don’t require any other cables except COAX cable.
(non PoC DVR can use PoC camera because TDM08-SDI-TX is PoC
device.)
2. Connect TDM08-SDI-TX and OPT Receiver using Optic cable (Single
mode, LC Type).
- When you connect the Optic cable to TDM08, connect pushing
enough until you hear the “click” sound.
- Pull the lever on the arrow shown in Figure 1) to tightly lock the cables into connector.
- Please use OPT-RX1-RS485U for non PoC DVR and OPT-RX1-RS485P for PoC DVR.
3. Connect OPT Receiver’s COAX output and DVR’s video input using COAX cable.
- Usable TDM channels are determined according to DVR models. Please refer the DVR’s
manual for DVR’s TDM configuration and usage.
- Please connect RS485 lines between non PoC DVR and OPT receiver (OPT-RX1-RS485U)
to control camera (PTZ and/or OSD).
- If PoC DVR: Only coax cable is required to control camera (PTZ and/or OSD).
4. Set the CoC OUT switch as OPT.
5. Check the OPT LINK LED is ON.

2. Connect TDM08-SDI-TX and DVR using coax cable.
- Usable TDM channels are determined according to DVR models. Please refer the DVR’s
manual for DVR’s TDM configuration and usage.
- Please use repeater to expand the transmission distance.
3. Controlling camera can be performed under below connection conditions.
- If non PoC DVR: PS101P must be used and RS485 lines must be connected between DVR
and PS101P.
- If PoC DVR: Only coax cable connection is required to control camera. If you want to use
repeater to expand transmission distance, please uses RP102P.
4. Set the CoC OUT switch as COAX.
※To control camera, the camera’s (RS485/CoC) ID and the channel number of VIDEO-IN must
be the same. (ex: The ID of camera connected to ch3 must be 3.)

CAMERA CONFIG Mode Operation
1. Connect camera to TDM08-TX’s CH1 (VIDEO IN) using COAX cable.
- Only ch 1 can be used as CAMERA CONFIG mode.
- If non PoC Camera: Supply the individual power to camera. To control the camera’s PTZ
and/or OSD, connect the RS485 line between camera and TDM08-TX.
- If PoC Camera: Don’t require any other cables except COAX cable.
2. Connect monitor to TDM08-SDI-TX’s MUXOUT(COAX).
3. Set the CONFIG SW ON.
4. TDM08-SDI-TX’s CAM ID and BAUD MUST be set the same as the camera’s RS485 ID and
BAUD.
5. OSD control can be performed using UP, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT, ENTER key in the front. These
keys are used only when the mode is CAMERA CONFIG mode.

CAUTION
Connections
1. To control camera, all camera’s (which are connected to TDM08-SDI-TX) ID (CAM ID or
RS485 ID) must not be overlapped.
2. EX-SDI 1.0 is not supported. (support HD-SDI and EX-SDI 2.0)
3. Please refer the DVR’s manual for DVR’s TDM configuration and usage.
4. Transmission distance of COAX (MUX OUT) is the same with HD-SDI’s transmission distance.
(max. 180m)
5. TDM08-SDI-TX is not compatible with MUX08-SDI-RX.
Optic Cable
1. Do not bend the connector portion less than 30mm (minimum acceptable
refraction range).
2. Do not pull the cables from both sides.
3. Do not spin the device while the cable is connected.
4. Do not tie the cables.
COAX Cable
Please use COAX cable and BNC connector having impedance 75 Ω.
The max transmission distance of HD-SDI/EX-SDI 2.0 depends on the cable specification and
installation environments.
