IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed.
These instructions should be saved for future reference:
•Read and familiarise yourself with all operating instructions before using your
Cylinder Speaker.
•Before using your Cylinder Speaker, visually check that the unit is intact and has not
suffered any transit damage.
•Only charge the speaker from a suitable USB outlet, any other power source may
cause permanent damage to the product.
•The speaker must be fully charged via the USB port before use.
•Do not operate this speaker after a malfunction or after being dropped or damaged
in any way.
•Never allow children to play with the speaker. Small parts may be a choking hazard.
•Do not allow the USB charging cable to hang over sharp edges or come in contact
with hot surfaces.
•This speaker is intended for household use only and should not be used for
industrial purposes.
•Do not use this speaker for anything other than its intended use.
•Do not immerse the speaker in water or any other liquids.
•Do not expose the speaker to moisture, rain or humidity, as it is not waterproof.
•Before cleaning, ensure the speaker is not connected to the USB supply.
•Never clean the speaker with solvents or harsh or abrasive cleaners.
•Do not attempt to dismantle the speaker, it does not contain any user serviceable
parts.
•Whilst not in use, store the speaker in a cool dry place free from extreme
temperatures, humidity or dust.
Description of Parts

LED Indicator Modes
•Charging: LED illuminates red.
•Battery Fully Charged: LED extinguished (when powered off).
•Pairing Mode: LED flashes quickly blue.
•Connected: LED illuminates blue.
•Playing Music: LED flashes slowly blue.
Charging Your Cylinder Speaker
Before first using your Cylinder Speaker ensure it is fully charged as follows:
1. Insert the Micro USB plug of the USB to Micro USB Charging Cable into the Micro USB
Charging Port on the Cylinder Speaker.
2. Insert the large USB plug into a suitable USB charger rated to at least 1 Amp. (most chargers are
rated 1 Amp or above).
3. Whilst the Speaker is on charge, the LED Indicator will glow red, once the internal battery is
fully charged the LED will go out.
NB Charging time will take approximately 2-3 hours – remove the charging cable once the
speaker is fully charged.
Powering Up Your Cylinder Speaker
1. Power On: Move the ON/OFF Switch to the right ‘ON’ position and the LED Indicator will flash
Blue and a chiming tone will be heard showing the speaker is ready to pair.
2. Power Off: Move the ON/OFF Switch to the left ‘OFF’ position to switch the speaker off.
Pairing Your Cylinder Speaker
1. Power up the speaker as described above and the LED Indicator will quickly flash Blue.
2. A chiming tone will be heard to indicate the speaker is powering up and ready to pair.
3. Activate your Bluetooth search mode on your media device and search for ‘AVS1345’ in the list
shown on your Bluetooth device. Select AVS1345 from the search results and the speaker will now
pair with your device.
4. Once the two are paired successfully you will hear another chiming tone to confirm pairing and the
LED will now illuminate a steady blue colour.
NB The speaker will reconnect automatically after power up if your device has previously paired
with the headphones and the pairing process may not be needed.
Playing Music via Bluetooth after Pairing
1. Press the Speaker Control in to start playing music, press the control in again to pause playing
music.
2. Slide and hold the Speaker Control to the right to increase the volume level.*
3. Slide and hold the Speaker Control to the left to decrease the volume level.
4. Briefly slide the Speaker Control to the right to skip to the next music track.
5. Briefly slide the Speaker Control to the left to skip back to the previous music track.

Handling Telephone Calls
Answering a Call
1. A call coming in will mute (cut) the music you are listening to.

2. Briefly press the Speaker Control to answer the call.
3. Slide and hold the Speaker Control to the right to increase the volume level.*
4. Slide and hold the Speaker Control to the left to decrease the volume level.
5. Briefly press the Speaker Control again to end the call.
6. The callers voice will be heard from the Cylinder Speaker and your voice will be picked up by the
built in Microphone in the speaker.
Rejecting a Call
1. A call coming in will mute (cut) the music you are listening to.
2. Press and hold the Speaker Control for two seconds to reject the call.
Playing Music from a USB memory Stick
1. Insert a USB Memory Stick (not supplied pre-loaded with audio tracks –Mp3, WAV files etc.)
into the USB Port on side of the Cylinder Speaker.
NB the USB port supports USB 2.0 and up to 32GB capacity max.
2. The tracks on the Memory Stick will begin to play automatically.
3. Slide and hold the Speaker Control to the right to increase the volume level. *
4. Slide and hold the Speaker Control to the left to decrease the volume level.
5. Briefly slide the Speaker Control to the right to skip to the next music track.
6. Briefly slide the Speaker Control to the left to skip back to the previous music track.
NB whilst playing music, the LED Indicator will flash slowly.
Playing Music from a Micro SD Card
1. Insert a Micro SD card (pre-loaded with audio tracks –Mp3, WAV files etc.) into the Micro SD
Port on the side of the Cylinder Speaker under the USB port.
NB the Micro SD Card Port supports cards up to 32GB capacity max.
2. The tracks on the card will begin to play automatically.
3. Slide and hold the Speaker Control to the right to increase the volume level. *
4. Slide and hold the Speaker Control to the left to decrease the volume level.
5. Briefly slide the Speaker Control to the right to skip to the next music track.
6. Briefly slide the Speaker Control to the left to skip back to the previous music track.
NB whilst playing music, the LED Indicator will flash slowly.
*Two high pitched beeps will be heard to warn when the maximum volume setting has been reached.
