SAFETY AND PRECAUTIONS
1) For starters, be sure to check any chances of the leakage ofelectricity
2) You could handle a part in the vicinity of electricity after unplugging
3) You should put on rubber glovers to prevent an electric shock on operation test
4) Make sure the rated current, voltage, capacity before using an instrument
5) Keep your wet hands away from the metal goods in the freezer compartment
not to be frostbitten
6) Be careful not to let water to permeate the electric part in the machine room
7) with the door open during your working, you might be damaged by thatdoor
8) You should give a tilt to the refrigerator for your safe after removing the breakable
goods inside the refrigerator
9) You'd better use cotton gloves if you fix it up around the evaporator

Defrost 1) Necessary condition of determination defrost.
Accumulated compressor on time (6.8.10 hours)
Compressor operation ratio (every 2 hours)
Total time (compressor on time + compressor off

If accumulated compressor on time is more than
6 or 8 hour and compressor operation ratio is
more than 80%, then start defrost mode.
If accumulated compressor on time is more than
10 hours, then start defrost mode.
If the total time pass through 60 hours, then
start defrost mode.
If the defrost-sensor is out of order and
accumulated compressor on start defrost mode.
7 Forced defrost D-heater 1) Press the FRZ control button 5 times when press
the REF control button.
After that can start the forced defrost.

The pre-cool step is omitted.
Defrost heater is on until defrost-sensor

5. DISASSEMBLY AND ASSEMBLY
5-1. Freezer Lamp
1) FR-5101NT, 5401NT
After pressing the rear side of freeze r window,
pull forward and remove.
Replace the lamp after removing freezer window.
Remove two screws with “+” driver.
Pull foward and separate freezer-multi-duct cover (A).
Disconnect the lamp-socket assembly.
The detail part list of freezer-multi-duct cover (A)
assembly.

5-2. Front PCB
1) FR-5101NT, 5401NT
Check after repair
1. In assembling F-PCB, use only specified screws.
2. Check if button operation after reassembling.
3. There should be no gap between F-Control panel
and Freezer door.
4. Use small size screw M5 x L15, when the screw
is over-spinned.
5. If the adhesive of F-Control panel name plate is
weak, change the plate for a new one.
5-3. Freezer Louver
1) FR-5101NT, 5401NT
The louver hook which has been backside of the
louver will be disassembled, if inset a screw driver
into the chilly draft blowing outlet and pull the louver.
Check after repair
1. Insert the bottom part of louver into the groove
which is located at rear bottom part of freezing room.
2. Assemble louver completely but there should not be
damaged the hook.
5-4. Freezer Sensor

Remove the aluminum tape from louver insulator.
Take off the freezer sensor.

Replacement procedure of the freezer sensor.
a.
Cut off the lead wire of old sensor and insert
the heat tube into a new sensor's lead wire.
Solder after connecting the new sensor.
The sensor's resistance maybe changed, if
you do not join with soldering.
b.
Shrink the heat tube by a cigarette lighter
after placing the heat tube connected location.
c.
Fix the freezer sensor to the fixture with
aluminum tape (width of 50mm)
Inset the assembly into the louver insulator
and fix it with aluminum tape.
5-5. Temperature Fuse
1) FR-5101NT, 5401NT
Remove the temperature fuse out of the
evaporator pipe by screw driver.

5-6. Defrost Heater
1) FR-5101NT, 5401NT
Unscrew the 2 screws which is securing the
evaporator.
Pullthe evaporatorpipe slightly to the arrow direction.
Move evaporator forward as the figure and make
working space to remove defrost heater which
situates under the bottom of evaporator.
This is the same removing procedure as evaporator's
However, do not remove the welded points.
Take care not to bend the pipe connected to
accumulator.
Take out the defrost heater from the heater
fixture without removing the heater cover (upper,
Lower) (Do not apply too much force on the
heater fixture)
