When using electrical appliances, basic safety
precautions should always be followed. These
instructions should be saved for future reference:
• Read and familiarise yourself with all operating
instructions before using this grill.
• Before plugging your unit into the mains, visually
check that it is intact and has not suffered any transit
damage.
• Check that the voltage indicated on the data plate
corresponds with that of the local network before
connecting the appliance to the mains power supply.
• Do not use this product with a programmer, timer,
separate remote-control system or any other such
device.
• Do not immerse this appliance in water or any other
liquids.
• Cooking appliances should be positioned in a stable
situation with the handles (if any) positioned to avoid
spillage of liquids.
Important Safeguards
• DO NOT touch hot surfaces. Accessible
surfaces are liable to get hot during use. Always
use the handle.
• Oven gloves should be used whilst using the grill.
• Close supervision is required when using this
appliance near children.
• Never leave this appliance within reach of children.
• This appliance shall not be used by children from 0
to 8 years.
• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8

• years and above and persons with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience
and knowledge if they have been given supervision
or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a
safe way and understand the hazards involved.
• Children shall not play with the appliance.
• Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of
children less than 8 years.
• Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made
by children.
• Do not leave the appliance unattended during use.
• Do not leave the appliance unattended whilst
connected to the mains supply.
• Always use this appliance on a solid, level,
non-ammable surface.
• Do not use this appliance outdoors.
• It is imperative to unplug the power cord after the
appliance has been used, before it is cleaned and
whilst being repaired.
• Regular, periodic checks should be carried out on
the supply cord to ensure no damage is evident.
Should there be any signs of damage the appliance
should not be used.
• If the supply cord is damaged it is to be replaced by
a qualied person in order to avoid a hazard.
• Do not operate this appliance with a damaged plug
or cord, after a malfunction or after being dropped or
damaged in any way.
• Do not allow the mains cable to hang over sharp
edges or come in contact with hot surfaces.
• Allow the unit to cool before storage.

• Never place the appliance near to ammable
material or high-pressure containers.
• This appliance is intended for household use only
and should not be used for industrial purposes.
• Do not use any accessories or attachments
with this appliance other than those supplied or
recommended by supplier.
• Do not use this appliance for anything other than its
intended use.
• Do not push objects into any openings as damage to
the appliance and/or electric shock may occur.
• Ensure appliance is situated in an open area, do not
allow it to come in contact with cupboards, curtains,
wall coverings, clothing or other ammable materials.
• Unplug after each use. Grasp the plug, not the cord.
• Do not cover this appliance.
• Never place this appliance on an electric, gas, or any
other type of hob.
• Ensure adequate ventilation whilst cooking foods
that are prone to giving off smoke.
• WARNING do not attempt to move the grill whilst it is
hot.
• WARNING this appliance must be earthed.
• Clean the cooking plates with clean damp soft cloth
– do not use harsh abrasives or chemicals.

Before the rst time you use your Health Grill
Please read these operating instructions thoroughly and keep
them in a safe place for future reference.
Remove all packing materials including in between the plates
inside the grill and dispose of responsibly.
Before using the grill for the rst time, open the grill and wipe
over both cooking plates using a soft, clean damp cloth and
dry with a cloth or paper towel.
For best results, lightly coat the cooking plates with a little
cooking oil or cooking oil spray.
NB If using you grill for the very rst time it may emit a little
smoke and odour which will soon pass. This is the protective
coating applied to elements during transit and does not affect
your appliance.

Description of parts

• Place the grill on a solid, level, non - ammable surface away
from wall cupboards, curtains, etc.
Instructions for use
1. Before plugging in, make
sure the cooking plates
are securely locked
together and the drip
tray is in position to drain
away any excess fat
which is produced.
NB The drip tray must be
emptied and cleaned as
required
2. Insert the mains plug into
(with dry hands) into the
mains socket.
3. The red power light and
blue temperature light will
light up and the bacon
master will start to heat up.

4. Once the cooking plates are at the correct cooking
temperature the blue light will go out.
5. Using oven gloves, press the open button (3) to release the
cooking plates.
6. Place the bacon over the center panel (try not to overlap the
rashers for even cooking), close the cooking plates and lock
securely.
7. Once the bacon has cooked, using oven gloves open the
cooking plates and remove the bacon. To prevent any
damage to the non-stick surfaces use plastic cooking utensils.
Never use metal utensils.
NB during cooking, the blue light will cycle on and off to show
that the temperature is being maintained at the correct cooking
temperature.
Using your bacon master as an open grill
Place the grill on a solid, level, non-ammable surface away from
wall cupboards, curtains, etc
Ensure there is ample room for the grill to fully open out.
1. When cold, open the cooking plates so they are at and lower
the legs supports into place.
2. Remove the centre panel using the handles.
3. Insert the mains plug into (with dry hands) into the mains
socket.
4. The red power light and blue power temperature will light up
and the bacon master will start to heat up.
5. Once the cooking plates are at the correct cooking
temperature the blue light will go out.
6. Place foods evenly onto the cooking plates, remember to turn
foods half way through and make sure it is cooked throughly.
7. Once the food has cooked, remove using plastic cooking
utensils to prevent any damage to the non-stick surfaces.
Never use metal utensils.
NB during cooking, the blue light will cycle on and off to show
that the temperature is being maintained at the correct cooking
temperature.
After use, remove the mains plug from the mains socket

• Always unplug the grill from the mains power supply before
cleaning.
• Allow the unit to cool before cleaning.
• Do not clean any part of your bacon master in a dishwasher.
• Do not submerge any part of the main body of the grill or
mains cable in water or any other liquids.
• Wipe any excess oil from the cooking plates with kitchen roll
or similar.
• Wipe clean the outside of the main body and the cooking
plates with a soft damp cloth.
• Wash the drip tray in warm soapy water and dry thoroughly
afterwards.
• Never clean any part of the bacon master with harsh or
abrasive cleaners.

Cleaning your bacon master

Electrical Connections
This appliance is tted with a fused three-pin plug to BS 1363.
If the plug has to be removed, it should be cut off and carefully
disposed of immediately. To avoid a possible shock hazard, do
not insert the discarded plug into a mains socket.
Fitting a new plug
The mains lead must be connected as shown below. The wires
are coloured with the following code - Brown wire = Live (L), Blue
wire = Neutral (N), Green & Yellow = Earth (E).
Important information
The Blue wire must be connected to the terminal marked N or
coloured Black.
The Brown wire must be connected to the terminal marked L or
coloured Red.
The Green & Yellow wire must be connected to the terminal
marked E or coloured Green.
Check that there are no cut or stray strands of wire inside the
plug.
Use a 13 Amp BS 1362 fuse, only use BSI or ASTA approved
fuses.
If you are in any way unsure which plug or fuse to use, always
refer to a qualied electrician.
After replacing or changing a fuse on a moulded plug, the
cover must be retted to the plug; the appliance must not be
used without a fuse cover.
