BASE BUTTONS / OPERATIONAL
Base back side has 5 sockets for:
•
PSTN line: For landline connection
•
PAGE button: To call another terminal or terminals registration mode
•
UNIT ON/OFF switch: The switch must be ON at all time allowing the system fully operational
•
USB connection: For power adapter connection
•
SIM card slot: Normal size SIM card. Insert and remove by a push & click (“new” sim card area
covered by a protection cover)
BASE LED INDICATIONS
•
RED: steady when handset in charging mode + steady when in a call + flashes in registration mode
and low battery consumption
•
WHITE: Cellular network connection indication
•
GREEN: Wi-Fi connection indication
•
BLUE: flash when RF pendant/s lost link (“accessory lost link indication”). IMPORTANT: DUE TO
POWER CONSUPTION AND POWER SAVING, THE LOST LINK INDICATION (LOCALLY AND BY SMS
alert) will be after 24 hrs.)
BEFORE FIRST USE AND OPERATIONAL
•
Please insert the SIM card into the base unit (when inserting the SIM, make sure that the power
switch is OFF and power supply disconnected)
•
After inserting the SIM, replace the sim cover and screw it correctly
•
Connect the power supply and turn ON the switch. The carrier name will appear on the screen once
the connection is successful
•
Insert the battery to the handset and turn it ON. The handset will automatically be registered to the
base. If the handset does not register to the base (handset display flashes), follow the below
instructions:
•
Long press on the base PAGE button till the base red led flashes on the base.
•
Go to handset registration mode and press menu/ok
•
Select base 1-4 and press menu/ok
•
Insert the password: 0000 and press menu/ok

At this stage the handset should make registration sound and the DECT antenna indication should
appear on the screen left side. The cellular antenna indication on the screen right side
•
In cellular mode, once pressing the call button or SPK button, you will hear the dial tone.
WI-FI
Internet connection over the cellular platform
Please follow the below instruction to use the Wi-Fi:
•
On handset menu, go to BASE OPTION and press Menu/ok
•
Select WLAN setting and press Menu/ok
•
Select ON and press Menu/ok
•
The Wi-Fi (hot spot) name is DT_7X, you may now press Menu/ok (or change the internet
connection name and then press Menu/ok)
•
After the hot spot name, you reached the hot spot password (the current password is 12345678),
you may press Menu/ok to confirm or insert your own 8 digits password to your network security
and then press Menu/ok to confirm.
•
Once finished you will hear a short sound for the confirmation and now you can connect any device
that support Wi-Fi to your personal DT-7X hotspot.
GENERAL HANDSET MENU
Press the MENU/OK to enter the menu. Roll down or up using the arrow keys to move the crosser in
the menu. To select/enter the item, press MENU/OK again. The below items are included in the menu:

CALL LOG
Allows to check the dialed or received calls with date and time.
You can also delete a single item or all the items or add them to the Phone Book (add to PB).
To choose an action press the MENU/OK button.
PHONE BOOK
Phone book contains: list of stored names and numbers (you may also enter a direct character for a
quick search), NEW ENTERY (storing a new name and number to phonebook), EDIT RECORD (editing
an existing name or number in the phonebook), DEL RECORD (you can delete a single item), DELETE
ALL (you can delete all the items), MEM STATUS (by pressing the MEM STATUS: it will show you how
many numbers are stored in the phonebook and how many are still free)
BASE OPTION
DELETE HS
Use this function to unregister handset/s or Communicator/s (when going inside the deleted items,
the screen will display PP and a number. PP stands for Portable Part, meaning either handset/s or
Communicator/s. by pressing the code (0000) and MENU/OK the selected unit will be unregistered
to the base.
RING SET UP
You may select the melody and volume for the BASE
MODIFY PIN
This option allows you to modify the manufacturer pin code. The manufacturer pin code is preset to
0000 (four zero).
PABX NUMBER
If the unit connects under a private PABX, you may select a number (up to 8 digits) before the dialed
number. The unit will dial automatically this pre-number / code

LANGUAGE
The language in this section is for the voice announcements (total 3 voice prompt announcements),
for Communicator Low Battery, SOS call and ECI mode (access code).
WLAN SETTINGS (FOR THE WI-FI)
As explained above
PP SET UP
You may modify any of the DECT terminals (handsets or Communicators) which are registered to the
base with:
INT (internal) ring: the internal ringing melody and volume what does internal and external mean
EXT (external) ring: the external ringing melody and volume
Vibrating: turning the vibration ON or OFF (only for communicator)
Audio set up: calling party volume setup under speaker or earphone mode
NOTE
First you need to select which PP you wish to modify. Then press MENU/OK to select and confirm,
you may move with up and down and select with MENU/OK. For final confirmation use again the
MENU/OK button
TELECOM
This feature is meant for a special connection of the device to a telecom operator modem WHEN
using PSTN line only. It is recommended to select OTHERS. The device can support any telecom
operator and it is set during pre-production procedure

WIRELESS ACCESSORIES (OPTIONAL)
In the menu:
You can register a new accessory, modify or delete.
RF ACCESSORY REGISTRATION:
1. Press and hold the base PAGE button (5-6 sec) till the red LED flashes on base
2. Single press again on the same PAGE button
3. Then Press (single or long press) on the accessory SOS button
4. A successful registration will follow with a single sound from the base
5. After success registration, the device is ready to use. If the device will lose the link to the base, a
message will be sent to the designated number (as set in SMS or ContactID) and the base top blue
LED will turn ON (indication for RF accessory lost link). The alert will be after 24 hrs from the lost link
6. In the handset menu can locate the registered RF accessory by its number (from 1-10)

IMPORTANT NOTICE:
The Low Power RF Transceivers are optional. However: the base already supports the low power RF
platform (RF433)

MAKING ALARM FROM RF ACCESSORY
•
Once alarm is triggered, the call will be connected from the base audio channel (will follow with 4
tones alarm sounds from base)
Fall detection sensitivity levels
1. The fall detection has 3 levels for sensitivity, for user/s. please follow as below to adjust the
sensitivities levels to meet the user/s requirements
1.1 Technician (MENU*1006) mode only: please contact us for more details!
•
In fall detection pendant you have up to 10 sec to cancel the alarm (either by long press on the SOS
button and or tilt the pendant to vertically position) after the BIP sound starts.
CANCEL ALARM FROM RF ACCESSORY
•
Press and hold for 3-4 sec the SOS button and or pull again the cord on the emergency pull cord
for 3 sec and or in the fall detection pendant: tilt it to vertically position
BASE DEFAULT:
by selecting BS default you will need to enter the pin code (0000). Once confirming all the default
settings, the base will return to the original manufacturer settings! It is not recommended to base
default unless it is instructed by your provider or agent.

HANDSET OPTION
ALARM:
You may set the alarm clock to ring in a certain time. To operate this feature, select ON and enter the
time by using the number keys. Once selecting the time, press MENU/OK to confirm. When the alarm
clock is active (ON), an icon will appear on the main display in standby mode.
RING SET UP:
You may select the melodies and volumes of the handset, either for internal, external or VIP (VIP
means special dedicated ring for a specific user or multi users in your phonebook memories)
TUNE SET UP:
You may select the sounds for the KEYS, BATTERY LOW (ON or OFF) and OUT OF RANGE sounds.
LANGUAGE:
You may select the handset language. There is a total of 8 languages included in the handset for your
convenience.
HS NAME:
You may select to change the handset name by using the characters in the number keys. Once you
insert a name (handset name), press MENU/OK to confirm. The name will appear on the handset
display in standby mode
AUTO ANSWER:
You may set all incoming calls to be automatically answered! You can select ON or OFF
DATE & TIME:
You can select the date and time of your area. You may also select the position of the date and time
on the display and the time format 12 or 24 hours.
SELECT BASE:
You may select the base you want the handset/s and Communicator/s registered too! This feature is
only active when your handset/s and or Communicator/s are registered to multi bases!
CONTRAST:
You may select the contrast of your display. It can be set from 1 to 8

HS DEFAULT:
By selecting HS default you will need to enter the pin code (0000). Once confirming all the default
setting the base will return to the original manufacturer settings! It is not recommended to base
default unless it is instructed by your provider or agent.
SOS SETTINGS
By selecting the SOS settings, you will need to insert the pin code (0000) and press MENU/OK to
confirm. SOS settings contains the following options:
A. SOS number
B. SMS alert
C. Daily check
D. SOS Voice
A. SOS SETTINGS
Press MENU/OK to enter SOS number
If the display is empty, press MENU/OK again
You can insert a total of 6 SOS (different numbers)
Select the SOS number and Insert the number you wish the unit will dial under SOS by using the
number keys
Press MENU/OK to confirm
You can select the different SOS numbers by using the up and down keys and pressing the MENU/OK.
To delete an SOS number, please use the R/INT key and confirm by pressing the MENU/OK.
Once SOS is pressed, the handset display will show that you are in SOS CALL and the terminal in use.
Press SOS (1-5). Once the SOS number/s is/are selected, every push on the SOS button of the base,
handset or Communicator, will generate a call with the necessary SOS announcement to the preset
number, announcing your emergency (voice prompt is not supported in the 7X at this stage due to
the necessary feedback tone required. 7X series will update replacement feedback tone in next
version to enable the voice prompt operational)
SOS call will make total of 7 attempts for each preset SOS number every, if not answered by the
called party

Once an SOS call had been answered by the called party, the speakerphone mode will be active in
either base, handset or Communicator.
If an SOS call will be made by mistake you may cancel it by a long press on the same SOS key pressed
for at least 5 seconds till the SOS call is cancelled.
Once SOS call is active the handset keys will be locked.
Once an SOS call is finished, the called party end the call, the base, handset or Communicator will
automatically disconnect, allowing to free the line for new SOS calls or normal calls. Not clear
B. SMS ALERT
DT-7X series supports SMS alert messages
SMS alerts is under the SOS MENU. Please follow the below instructions to activate the SMS alerts
1. Under the SOS menu, go to SMS alert and press menu/ok
2. Turn on the SMS alerts (ON) and insert a telephone number where you wish the SMS alerts to be
sent too.
3. Please follow the SMS protocol in the separate excel file provides by your local provider (call center)

Note:
1.SOS call can be done either by a single press on the SOS key or by a long continues press.
2.The 7X includes an alarm memory feature. When SOS call is made using the base SOS button, you
can now press the SOS on the handset or communicator that will activate a waiting SOS call which
will be generated AFTER the call from the base is finished.

B = 0/1 LOW BATTERY (0 = OFF 1 = ON)

Message alerts and info
SMS for SOS CALL: SOS CALL (can add also HS1-5)
SMS for base low battery: BATT=0/1/2 (0 = LOW BATTERY, 1 = NORMAL, 2 = NO BATTERY
SMS for handsets low battery: BATT = HS1 0/1 (0 = LOW BATTERY. 1 = NORMAL)
SMS for AC LOST: POWER = 0/1 (0 AC lost, 1 restored)
SMS for LOST LINK: LINK = HS1 0/1 (0 lost link, 1 link restored)
SMS for PERIODIC: PERIODIC = HS1 (If registered more than 1 handset then get all handsets numbers)
Please review the full SMS alerts in the excel doc. (lost link, low batt, SOS, periodic, fall down) and in its
different series (DECT, RF and each accessory type)
C. DAILY CHECK
DT-7X series supports a daily check feature.
Daily check is under the main SOS feature. Please follow the below instructions to activate the daily
check alert.
4. Under SOS menu, go to daily check and press menu/ok
5. Select ON and press menu/ok
6. Select the days (1-7) and press menu/ok
7. Press menu/ok again and insert the telephone number where you wish the SMS alert for the daily
check to be sent to.
D. SOS VOICE
In the DT-7X series you can turn ON or OFF the voice prompt announcement to the call party.

PRIOR NUMBER
The Prior (priority) number feature allows you to preset desired numbers to be recognized by
CALLER ID. These numbers will be stored and any call from these numbers will be answered
automatically after first ring without any need to press any button!
to preset a Prior number, you will need to enter a pin code (0000) and press MENU/OK to confirm.
After selecting feature, enter the number. Press MENU/OK for confirmation.
ROOM MONITOR (ECI)
(operational in 7X next version only due to the voice prompt announcement)
By selecting the Room monitor, you will need to insert a pin code (0000) and press MENU/OK to
confirm.
Under Room monitor there are 2 options: ON and OFF
OFF mode disables the feature.
To Set the feature ON you will need to enter any 4 digits code (i.e. 1234). To delete a digit please use
the R key.
Once the room monitor is set ON and the 4 digits are inserted an icon appears on the main display
under standby mode: every call after first ring will activate an announcement to the call party
requesting to enter a 4 digits code! Once a correct 4 digits code is inserted, the line will be open to
conversation.
NOTE: If you select a 9999 as the code the unit will be open to all calls without the necessary
announcement and entering code! Therefore, please make sure that your 4 digits codes are not
9999!
Important information for the Room Monitor control:
During a room monitor call, the call party can activate or cancel several features as below:
Mute the microphone, speaker and volume by pressing digits: 4, 5 and 6!
The user cannot cancel the call, the call will end only when the call party
Handset keys are locked!
REGISTRATION
You may add / register additional handset or Communicator to the base. Please follow the below
instructions:

Press and hold the PAGE button on base backside for approx. 4-5 seconds till the red LED on base
start flashing.
For additional Communicator registration, press one time on Communicator SOS button.
A successful registration will be followed by a HIGH TONE heard from the Communicator.
For additional handset registration: press MENU/OK on handset, select registration, press MENU/OK
again, select base (1-4), press MENU/OK, enter the code (0000), press MENU/OK, the handset will
start searching for the base. A successful registration will be followed by a HIGH tone heard from the
handset and the screen antenna mark on the display left as D appears with the handset number.
When A SIM card is installed, the cellular antenna appears on the screen right side
To check handset / Communicator registration to base, press one time on base PAGE button, the
handset/s and or Communicator/s which are registered to the base should start ringing. To cancel,
press again on the base PAGE button or on the communicator SOS button or handset end button.

ADDITIONAL FEATURES AND INFORMATION
SPEED DIALING
The handset can support up to 9 speed dialing numbers (operated by a single long press).
To operate this function Please follow the below instructions:
Under standby mode, insert a number. The number will appear on the screen: for example,
22557799. Then press the MENU/OK button. The screen will display “TOP NUMBER?” now presses
any number from 1 to 9. Long press a selected number will generate a call to the stored number.
To delete a number from the speed dialing: Press twice on #, The screen will display ##, then press
MENU/OK, the screen will display “TOP NUMBER?” then enter the number you want to delete (1-9),
the unit will MAKE a HIGH Tone sound and delete the chosen speed number.
To dial a number from your speed dialing list: press and hold for 1.5 second the selected number
(1-9), the number will appear on the screen and the stored number will be dialed under
speakerphone mode.
To cancel the call, press the RED button.
INTERCOM
You can make internal calls between handset/s to Communicator/s by LONG press on the R key. The
display will show the terminals (handset/s or Communicator/s which are registered to the base (PP?).
At this stage press by using the number keys on the PP number you want to call. Not clear.
AMPLIFIER
(Operational under talk mode using an earpiece) “not under speaker mode”!
By pressing the amplifier button (AMP), receiver will boost for approx+30dB. Useful for people with
hearing issues.
VOLUMES
Use up and down keys to set volume level
MUTE
During conversation press the menu/ok button to silent the conversation from your side (you can
hear will not be heard)

CONFERENCE CALL
You can make a conference call using 1 external line and 2 internal lines. When a call has been made
to and or from the DT-7X handset and had been answered, press and hold the R/INT button on
handset till the display will indicate the other terminals registered to the base, then select the
terminal you want to join in the call (conference), answer the internal call of the third terminal, then
press * button on the handset the 3 parties are in conference.
SPEAKER MODE ON BASE AND HANDSET
You can make your normal conversation under speaker mode by pressing the speaker button on the
base or handset (during a call or by starting a call with the handset only). The speaker button is
located on the handset left side bottom and colored in green)
RANGE
The handset (or communicator) effective range from base is set to 50 meters indoor and 300 meters
outdoor. The low power transceivers is up to 500 meters
STANDBY AND USE (TALK) TIME
1. Base standby time up to 50hrs and up to 6hrs user time (talk, Wi-Fi etc)
2. DECT Handset standby time up to 7 days and user time up to 5hrs
3. DECT communicator standby time up to 10 days and use time up to 4hrs
4. Low power transceivers standby time up 36 months
ADDITIONAL INDICATIONS ON HANDSET DISPLAY FOR USERS:
LINE FAILURE: When there is a line failure, the display will flash, and the handset screen will display:
NO LINE
Power supply failure: during a power failure, the display will flash, and the screen will display AC
LOST.
BASE BATTERY LOW POWER:
When the base battery voltage goes low, the handset screen will flash and display BASE LOW BATT,
following a BIP sound every 10 sec.
Handset battery low power: when the handset battery voltage goes low, the handset screen will
display HS LOW BATT, following with a BIP sound every 10 sec.

DECT COMMUNICATOR/S (OPTIONAL)
Registration
(Make sure the communicator is ON, the blue LED on the side either flashes or steady)
1. Long press on the base PAGE button till the base red led flashes
2. Single press on the DECT communicator SOS button
3. At this stage registration sound will be heard from the communicator (the blue LED on the side will
be OFF and the front red LED on the SOS button will flash every 5 sec)
DECT COMMUNICATOR FEATURES AND OPERATION:
Operation from the communicator
1. Single or long press on the front SOS button to trigger the alarm
2. When another communicator or handset already in alarm, by pressing the SOS on the
communicator, you will hear a continue BIP sound, announcing it is in waiting mode
3. When the communicator announces low battery, please replace it on the charger (a full charge
takes approx. 3hrs on the charger)
Operation from the DECT handset
1. In handset standby mode, go the BASE OPTION and press menu/ok
2. Select PP Setup and press menu/ok
3. Select the communicator (Handset 2, 3, 4 or 5) and press menu/ok
4. (PP) Communicator menu:
4.1 INT (internal) EXT (external) Ring: to select the communicator melody type and volume (1-5)
Up to 5 alarm Communicators
can be registered to the 4G / DECT base.

Internal call: (handset to communicator)
1. On handset, press and hold the R/INT button till the display shows: Handset? and below it the
communicators numbers (2, 3, 4 or 5)
2. Use the handset number KEYS to select the communicator for your internal call (2, 3, 4 or 5)
3. he communicator will ring (internally). Press on the communicator SOS button to answer the
internal call
COMMUNICATOR LEDS INDICATION
1. Communicator side blue LED
1.1 Flash when the communicator registers to a base but not operational
1.2 Steady lighted when NO registration to a base
1.3 OFF when register to a base and operational
2. Communicator front red LEDS
2.1 Flash every 5sec when communicator in standby mode and operational
2.2 Steady lighted when communicator in a call or on the charger (fully charged)
3. Charger red LED
3.1 Lighted when a communicator replaced on the charger
3.2 Red light will dim and turn OFF when communicator on the charger: nearly fully charge and fully
charge
