UNPACKING
After unpacking the unit received, it is IMPORTANT to examine it for any damage that may have occurred
in transit. If the equipment has been damaged or parts are missing, file a claim IMMEDIATELY with the
courier stating the damages.
Check ALL envelopes and packing slips before destroying them.
INTRODUCTION
The ENFORCERTM 6201-IQ Electronic Siren series uses microprocessor based technology to provide a
compact electronic siren system for use in emergency vehicles.
The ENFORCERTM 6201-IQ Electronic Siren series is the ideal choice for undercover applications. The small
compact control head and the 18’ long harness provide the installation flexibility needed for such
applications.
STANDARD FEATURES
SIREN MODE: - There are two available siren tones: WAIL and YELP. The siren tones can be selected
using the toggle switch from the remote controller:
- switch UP for WAIL tone
- switch DOWN for YELP tone
MANUAL MODE: - In the MANUAL mode the siren makes AIR HORN. It is a momentary mode activated
by holding down the AIR HORN switch on the siren’s remote controller.
NOTE: MANUAL mode will override the SIREN mode
PARK KILL MODE: - This is activated by providing a connection from the park position switch in the vehi-
cle to the park kill input this will automatically interrupt the siren tones if they are engaged, this input is GND
activated. THIS DOES NOT KILL THE AIRHORN.
OPTIONAL FEATURES
PUBLIC ADDRESS: - Allows messages to be broadcasted over the siren speaker. The P.A. function will
override all other functions (i.e. siren, MANUAL, etc.) when accessed using microphone.

WARNING
All devices should be mounted in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and securely
fastened to vehicle elements. The unit should be mounted using permanent installation meth-
ods. Do NOT mount the system in a location that will interfere with the air bags. (For safe
equipment mounting zones in your vehicle, consult your vehicle manufacturer's recommended
guidelines.) It is the installer’s responsibility to ensure that the unit, mounting hardware, and
electrical wiring does NOT interfere with the air bags, and SRS wiring and sensors.
INSTALLATION & MOUNTING
The ENFORCER™ 6201-IQ series sirens can be mounted in a variety of places. They can be console
mounted with #10 screws as shown in figure below..
While installing the unit, refer to the Wiring & Adjustments section on page 4, and the Wiring Diagram on
page 5 to ensure proper installation of the equipment.
MOUNTING THE ENFORCERTM 6201
Figure 1: MOUNTING DIAGRAM

212-0019-IQ 4
ENFORCERTM 6201-IQ:
The unit consists of the siren chassis box, the switch controller and the harness (standard 18’ long). The long
harness gives the flexibility in choosing the place where the siren will be installed.
The siren can be mounted under the dash, on the transmission hump on the floor, or in the trunk. When in-
stalling the unit on the transmission hump, BE CAREFUL. Using long screws or drilling deep can cause
damage to the transmission. This unit can also be mounted in a console using a face plate.
The switch controller chassis is small and compact and can be easily mounted under the dash or other out of
sight places.
WIRING & ADJUSTMENTS:
While wiring the siren, refer to the Wiring Diagram on page 5 for proper installation and operation of the sys-
tem.
The harness has the switch controller and the plug factory installed, which will connect with the siren socket.
If, by any reason, the plug is removed from the harness, to properly rewire the plug, strip away approximately
1/4” of insulation off the wire. Insert the wire in the proper hole and tighten the set screw. Ensure that no
strands of wire are sticking out of the hole, and that not too much insulation has been stripped away leaving
bare wire exposed. This can otherwise result in possible shorting of the system.
DANGEROUS !
Do NOT attempt to operate or test the system before ensuring a SECURE GROUND AND
POWER CONNECTION USING A DEDICATED SET OF WIRES FROM THE
BATTERY TO THE SYSTEM.
Manufacturer’s recommendations of wire size and tight connections will provide a longer
operating life for components.
Route wiring using grommets and sealant when passing through compartment walls.
Looms, grommets, cable ties and similar installation hardware should be used to anchor and
protect wiring and devices.
Particular attention should be paid to the location and method of electrical connection and
splices to protect these points from corrosion and loss of conductivity.
Ground termination should ONLY be made to substantial chassis components; preferably the
battery.
The user should install a circuit breaker in the supply line to protect against short circuits;
preferably one with a 20 Amp rating.

12 PIN CONNECTOR:
+12V IGNITION/ +12V SOURCE: To be connected to a + 12VDC feed from the car ignition source or other
+12V source (ex. battery) . The system will turn ON only when +12VDC is activated for PIN 1.
After turning OFF the +12V input, the system will go in countdown mode for 30 min. After that it
will turn OFF automatically.
GROUND: To be connected to a solid chassis ground, PDU or the negative terminal of the battery.
+12VDC BATTERY: To be connected to a + 12VDC battery source, via an inline 20 A fuse and to the
control switch box through 22 AWG RED wire from the harness.
PARK KILL: To be connected to the park switch of the car system (ground activated)
SPEAKER:
SPEAKER:
WAIL: To be connected to the 22 AWG Green wire from the harness.
YELP: To be connected to the 22AWG White wire from the harness.
AIRHORN: To be connected to the 22 AWG BLACK wire from the harness.
RJ-45 COUPLER: Factory programming.
MIC INPUT: To connect the microphone or microphone extension cable .
P.A VOLUME: Use to adjust the volume for public address system. Small screw driver is needed to adjust
volume.
Note:
Curves exist on one side of the connector. They will RESIST reverse plug-ins, but they will NOT PREVENT
the reverse plug-ins.
