User’s Panel for the HXV 5 unit.

Description of the display and the keys
Introduction
The High End User’s Panel can control the HXV 5 unit.
Up to 5 High End User’s Panels can be connected at the same time.
Information about operation can be read on the display.
NB
The basic panel for HXV 5 cannot be used when the High End User’s Panel is installed.

Illuminates when the air quality sensor is activated

Illuminates when the humidity sensor is activated

Illuminates when the heater is activated

Illuminates when power to the HXV 5 is on

Shows the menu etc.

Moves up one menu item

Acceptance of changes

Escape
To protect against unintended settings
To escape the menu and return to the main screen
Display
When the panel has not been activated for 1 minute, the display shows the actual fan
speed (1-4) and the fan symbol.

Get ready for use
Introduction
This section will guide you through the mounting and installation of the High End User
Panel.
Mounting and in-
stallation
Follow this procedure to mount and install the unit:

1st High end user panel
Additional High end user panel

Disconnect the basic user panel if one
is connected to the HXV 5
Connect the 12 meter cable from the
High End User Panel to the last serial
connected user panel

Connect the 12 meter cable from the
High End User Panel to the cable from
the HXV 5 that was previously con-
nected to the basic user panel

This topic will guide through customization of different settings.

Displays shown in this manual is often examples and may differ from one display to an-
other.
More than one high
end user panel, ad-
dress
By use of more than one high end user panel, the following should be done:
When the panel is installed it requests for its address. If the address of one of the pan-
els needs to be changed later on, follow this procedure:

Humidity
Settings made on one High End User’s Panel will NOT override settings of other panels.
Humidity settings are individually.
Setting on 100 % disables the actual humidity sensor!
Air quality
Settings made on one High End User’s Panel will NOT override settings of other panels.
Air quality settings are individually.
Setting on 100 disables the actual air quality sensor!
Fire place
The fireplace function is a help when e.g. the wood burning stove, fireplace or the like is
to be lit.
The function disables the exhaust air fan for 15 minutes by which the inlet fan estab-
lishes an over pressure in the house, which is good for the vent in the chimney.

Fault finding guide
Fault finding
Use this table to find the solution of a problem:

Reset HXV 5 by discon-
necting it for a few sec-
onds
Buzzer sounds
Filter timer is below val-

Replace/clean the filter
and reset the timer by

3 seconds
Smoke is coming out from
the wood burning stove
Low pressure in the house
Activate the fireplace
function.
The function disables
the exhaust air fan for
15 minutes by which
the inlet fan establishes
an over pressure in the
house, which is good
for the vent in the

The unit is supposed to run
fan speed 4 but it automat-
ically switches to fan speed
3 after a while
The unit automatically
switches from fan speed 4
to 3 after one hour
Set fan speed 4 again
after one hour if need-
ed
The fan speed sometimes
changes to fan speed 3
even though it was set at
fan speed 1 or 2
A humidity sensor or AQ
sensor has detected a value
which is higher than its set
point
The fan speed returns
to its previous setting
(1 or 2) when the hu-
midity level or the air
quality is okay again
The panel is locked
The Key Lock key has been
activated
Press the Key Lock key
to unlock the panel
