INPUT control.

upword; try lowering surrounding frequency ronges insteod. This woy, you ovoid cousing the next

7. Low Cut
lf you push the "Low Cut" button, o filter will be inserted into the
oudio choin of the G|G-l2thot hos o chorocteristic BOHz, lBdB/oct
high poss chorocteristic to cut ony undesired low frequencies. This
function con be used to cut the humming sound or to prevent
resononces of low frequencies, when the speokers ore ploced in
close distonce,
I /9110. Equolizer Section (Hl/MlD/LOW)
The mixer's Equolizer section ollows shoping of the incoming oudio
signol. All mono input chonnels ore fitted with 3-bond EQ. The upper
(8) ond lower (10) shelving controls hove their frequencies fixed ot
12KHz ond 80 Hz respectively. The mid ronge control (9) hos o
peoking response frequency o12.5 KHz. All3 bonds hove up to
l5 dB cut ond boost. with o centre detent for. Turning the Equolizer
to the right omplifies the frequency ronge, turning to the left
ottenuotes ihe signol. Minor chonges to the Equolizer control usuolly
produce the best results. Try to ovoid excessive enhoncement of the
mid bond.
I l. Chonnel Aux I
The Aux lcontrol ollows you io odjust the chonnel level to the Aux
bus.
12. Chonnel Pre/Posl
The pre/ posi button toggles the oux I signol to be token pre- or
post- foder.
13. Chonnel Effecls
The Effects control ollows you to odjust the chonnels level to the
Effect bus.
14. Pon/Bol
Mono Chonnels: By using the ponoromo controlyou con chonge
the input signol's position within the stereo imoge. When the
ponoromo control is set to center position, the oudio signol is equol
for both the left ond right ouiput.
Stereo chonnels: By using the bolonce controlyou con odjust the
bolonce between the left ond the right chonnel. lf you use o mono
source (input left mono) the controlworks os o ponoromo control
ond lets you chonge the input signol's position within the stereo
imoge.
15. Clip lndicolor
The Clip indicqtor shows peok levels in o chonnel's incoming signol
level. lf the red Clip LED frequently blinks or constontly lights, the
corresponding chonnel is likely to enter clipping ond you hove to
reduce the input's omplificotion using the goin control. The Clip LED
lights ot o level of 8 dB below clipping. Moke sure thot the Clip LED
lights only briefly during dynomic peoks.
16. Signol lndicolor
The signol indicotor shows the presence of on oudio signol of the
output of the chonnel.

The DAP GIG-12 is o l2 chonnel mixer with I 6 controlloble DSP effects. lt is o very complete 2 bus mixer
with ollfunctionolity you need to moke o perfect oudio mix. The USB port gives you the possibility to
connect o PC or MAC ond record your mix or use os externol input source. lt hos inserts ond low cut on
the mono chonnels ond selectoble pre post oux send. The stereo output is equipped with o contour

21. Effect Seleclor
Use ihis diol for selecting on effect preset.
22. SI/SUB return
This control ollows you to odjust the level of the
Digitol Effect unit to the Moin (ST) mix.
23. EFX Aux
The (siereo) output of the digitol effect section is summed ond routed lo the oux bus. You
con odjust the level to the oux bus with this control.
24. EFX PFt
Allows you to route output of the digitol effect section to the PFL bus.
25. EFX on/oii
This switch ollows you to octivote the built in digitol effect processor.
26. Time
This control ollows you to odjust the deloy or reverb time of the selected effect preset.
27. Signol LED
lndicotes on oudio signol is present of the input of the effect section.
28. Clip tED
lndicotes the input signolis to high ond cousing the input of the digitol effect section to clip. lf this LED
blinks or light continuously, lower the setting of the EFX Send (41) control.
29. Phontom Power IED
This LED indicotes when the phontom power is switched on for the microphone inputs. After swiiching on
the mixer, the red LED should not light up. So both bolonced ond unbolonced microphones con be
connected. Unbolonced microphones moy be domoged if the Phontom power is octivoted however
unbolonced microphones ore rorely to be found these doys.
Moke sure lo close lhe fqder of lhe corresponding inpul chonnel or ot leosl the MASTER conlrols before
connecling ony oudio signol sources. This will sove yourself, your oudience, ond your equipment from
unnecessory slress resulling from plug-in noise.
30. Phontom Power Switch
Press this button to turn the phontom power +4BV on. Do not connect ony unbolonced microphones with
the phontom power switched on. The red Phonlom LED (31) will light if the phontom power is octivoted.
31. Aux Relurn
The signol of the (stereo) Aux I relurn inpuls (54) is summed
to o mono oux signol ond is routed to the oux bus. You con
odjust the level of the Aux I return input (54) to the (mono)
oux bus with this control.
Worning: lf you use the oux I inpul in combinotion with the
oux send output os on effecl send relurn, moke sure lhis
conlrol is sel lo its minimum position (fully counterclockwise)
olherwise you will creote o feedbock loop. lf you're using
lhis qs qn effecl relurn you hove to odjust the relurn level
with the ST/SUB (37) control.

17. Chonnel Sï
This button ollows you to route the chonnel to the moin mix.
18. Chonnel Sub
This buiton ollows you to route the chonnel to the sub mix.
19. Chonnel PFI
The Solo button (pre fode listening) is designed io select o
chonnelond listen io thot chonnel on your control room or
phones output independent of the position of the chonnelfoder
(20).
20. Chqnnel Foder
The foder controls the volume of o single chonnel. The chonnel
foders should be positioned within the ronge of -5dB to OdB, leoving
you with sufficient room to ollow precise motching of differences in
the chonnel's level settings. The overoll volume is set with the moster
foder. Even though the chonnel foders offer on odditionol goin of
+l0dB, it is better not to exceed the +5dB position.

Allows you to control the level of the SUB 1 (left) output.

Allows you to controlthe level of the SUB 2 (right) output.

47. Power LED
The green power LED lights when the GIG-I2 is turned on. lf,
ofter switching the device on. the LED does not light, moke
sure thot the moins plug is plugged in conectly. lf the LED still
doesn't light up, pleose contoct your DAP Audio deoler.

49. Tope/USB butlon
This button ollows you to ossign ihe VU meter to the lope
(62) iUSB (67) inputs. lf the tope/USB bution is not pressed
you con ossign the ST or the SUB bus to the VU-meter using
the SI/SUB (50) button.
50. ST/SUB butlon
This button ollows you to ossign the VU meter to either the ST
bus or the SUB bus.
51. Conlour button
Pressing this button enhonces the signol by odding both
boss ond treble frequencies.
52 /53. MASTER Foder
These foders control the Left ond Right output level.

32. PFt swilch
Allows you to route the Aux 1 input to the PFL bus.
33. Aux 2 relurn
The signol of the (stereo) Aux2 relurn inputs (55) is summed to q mono oux signol ond is routed to the oux
bus. You con odjust the level of the Avx2 relurn inputs (55) to the (mono) oux bus with this control.
Worning: lf you use lhe qux I inpul in combinolion wilh lhe qux send oulpul os qn effecl send return,
moke sure this conlrol is sel lo ils minimum posilion (fully counterclockwise) olherwise you will creote o

Allows you to route the Aux2 relurn (55) inputs to the PFL bus.
35. Aux send
With this control You con odjust the output level of lhe oux bus to the Aux send (60) outpui.
36. Tope inlUSB
This control ollows you to control the level of the lope in (62) ond/or USB (67) input in the moin (ST) mix.
37. Aux I ST/Sub
This control ollows you to odjust the level of the (stereo) signol from the Aux I relurn (54) inputs to either
the Moin (ST) mix or the Sub mix, depending on the position of the ST/SUB (38) button.
38. Aux t ST/Sub Butlon
Allows you to route the signol from the oux I return input (controlled by the ST/SUB (37) control) to either
the Moster (ST) or the SUB bus.
39. Aux 2 ST/Sub
This control ollows you to odjust the level of the (stereo) signol from the Avx2 relurn (55) inputs to either
the Moin (ST) mix or the Sub mix, depending on the position of the ST/SUB (40) switch.
40. Aux 2 ST/Sub buflon
Allows you to route the signol from the oux 2 relurn (55) inputs (controlled by the ST/SUB (37) control) to
either the Moster (ST) or the SUB bus.
41. EFX Send control
With this conirol You con odjust the level of the EFX send (61) output which is connected to the EFX bus.
42. Chl Room/Phones
This control ollows you to odjust the volume of the Conlrol Room (57) outputs ond lhe Heodphones (64)
outputs.
Depending on the type of heodphones connected to the phones jock, the Powermix is copoble of
producing very high output levels vio the phones output. Therefore, moke sure to turn the controlollthe
woy down (minimum setting) before connecting the heodphones.
Worning: Lislening lo loud sound pressure levels over o longer period of time leods lo heofng domoge!

This USB port con be used to connect the GIG-I 2to yovr PC/ lopiop. You con use this connector
For ploybock or record with your fovorite medio ployer.

Moinlenqnce
The DAP Audio GIG-12 requires olmost no mointenonce. However, you should keep the unit cleon.
Disconnect the moins power supply, ond then wipe the cover with o domp cloth. Do not immerse in
liquid. Do not use olcohol or solvents.
Keep connections cleon. Disconnect electric power, ond then wipe the connectors with o domp cloth.
Moke sure connectors ore thoroughly dry before linking equipment or supplying electric power.
Troubleshooling

This troubleshooting guide is meont to help solve simple problems. lf o problem occurs, corry out the steps
below in sequence uniil o solution is found. Once the unit operotes properly, do not corry out following
steps.
l. lf the device does not operote properly, unplug the device.
2. Check power from the woll, oll cobles, ihe fuse, etc.
3. lf oll of the obove oppeors to be O.K., plug the unit in ogoin.
4. lf nothing hoppens ofter 30 seconds, unplug the device.
5. Return the device to your DAP Audio deoler.

Set Up ond Operqlion
Before plugging the unit in, olwoys moke sure thot the power supply motches the product specificotion
volioge. Do not otiempt to operoie o 120V specificotion produci on 230V power, or vice verso.
Conneclion Cobles
Toke core of your cobles, olwoys holding ihem by the connectors ond ovoiding knois ond twists when
coiling them: This gives the odvontoge of increosing iheir life ond reliobility.
Periodicolly check your cobles. A greot number of problems (foulty contocis, ground hum. dischorges,
etc.) ore coused entirely by using unsuitoble or foulty cobles.
