Operation
Using the hotplates
All appliances have 2 or 3 metal hotplates. The 1500W (180mm diameter ) and 1000W (145mm diameter) hotplates are
controlled by push in-pop out rotational knobs with 7 settings. The small 450W hotplate (80mm diameter) has no settings,
only a switch with an on / off selection. The function of th e push in pop out rotational 7 setting knob is simple: the
position of the knob regulates the amount of heat.

enamel surface.
Never clean the oven with aggressive detergents as this may cause damage to the enamel surface.
Do not use any sharp implements when cleaning the oven only a dry or slightly moist cloth.
How to save energy when using the hotplates
Saving energy while cooking depends to a great extent on the cookware you will be using. Suitable cookware should
have a flat base of a relevant thickness so as to come into good contact with the hotplate surface and absorb heat
easily. Your cookware should not be smaller in size than the hotplate you will be using. The whole hotplate surface
should always be covered and thus be protected from overheating. During cooking or boiling, we suggest that your
cookware always be covered with a lid for faster and more economic cooking. Furthermore, just before cooking time
is complete, turn the switch to the 0 setting so that boiling can conclude with the residual heat in the hotplate.
Cleaning - Maintenance
Always disconnect the appliance from the main power supply before cleaning - maintenance.
To clean all surfaces (enamel, glass, hotplates, oven) use hot water with a mild, non-aggressive cleaning
agent and a cloth or soft sponge.
Never use wire, metal sponges, strong detergents or scouring powder as these will scratch the surfaces.
When cleaning the baking trays/grill tray, fill with hot soapy water immediately after use to soften any food
residue and then clean this off easily with a sponge.
