Congratulations on the purchase of your
De Vielle Fire Front Door.
PLEASE READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY.
It is important that your Fire Front Door is correctly installed, as De Vielle cannot accept
responsibility for any fault arising through incorrect use or installation.
The Fire Front Door is suitable for standard 16in and 18in Fires only.
Important Warning
• Only one appliance may be used per ue.
• There must not be an extractor fan tted in the same room as
the appliance as this can cause the stove to emit fumes and
smoke into the room
• Asbestos: This appliance contains no asbestos. If there is a
possibility of disturbing any asbestos in the course of installation
then please seek specialist guidance and use appropriate
protective equipment.
• Metal Parts: When installing or servicing this Fire Front Door,
care should be taken to avoid the possibility of personal injury.
• Chimney: The chimney height and the position of the chimney
terminal should conform to Building Regulations.
• Check that the chimney is in good condition, dry, free from
cracks and obstructions. The chimney should be cleaned prior to
installation of the De Vielle Fire Front.

Lighting your appliance for the rst time
1. Only small res may be lit for the rst 3-4 res to help with the curing process.
2. Open air wash system approx 50% (Top lever). Open primary air fully (bottom Lever).
(See Fig 1-B)
3. Light re lighters or loose papers and put dry kindling or peat on top.
4. As the re establishes add some pieces of solid fuel adjusting the airwash to just 25% open
and adjusting the burn rate using the primary air.
5. Certain sites may need increased airow when being started this can be done by adjusting
the levers on the top, bottom accordingly as in steps 1 and 4.
6. The De Vielle Fire Front is intended as a unit to cut down on fuel consumption not to
generate more heat. Where a back boiler is tted the De Vielle Fire Front will heat the water
much more eciently.
7. All installations must be carried out in accordance with the tting manual. De Vielle cannot
be held liable for faulty workmanship also all installations must be carried out in accordance
with local building regulations.
8. When in use the De Vielle Fire Front Door becomes hot. Use the multi tool provided
(See Fig 1-C) to open and close the door and also adjust the airwash control slider and
primary control slider.
9. It is important to note that there may be an unpleasant odor for the rst few res this is
nothing to be alarmed about it is just part of the curing process.

De Vielle Fire Front Installation
Instructions
1. Carefully remove the De Vielle Fire Front
from its packaging.
2. Remove bae plate using a 13mm
Spanner. (See g 1.0)

3. Insert threaded bar into hole at the rear of
the Fire front. (See g 1.1)

4. Line The De Vielle Fire Front in front of the
opening making sure that it is centred.
Mark the two holes to be drilled on the
bottom making sure that the De Vielle Fire
Front is tight against the inset. (See g 1.2)

5. Remove the De Vielle Fire Front and drill
2 holes in the hearth that were previously
marked 75mm deep. (See g 1.3)

6. Line up the De Vielle Fire Front in front of
the inset again and attach clamping bar
to threaded bar and tighten to inset using
wing nut provided making sure that the
De Vielle Fire Front is sealed completely
around the unit. (See g 1.4 and 1.5)

7. Put a screw into each of the pre drilled
holes.

8. Ret bae and tighten nuts (see g 1.6)

9. At this stage your De Vielle Fire Front is tted and should give you years of eciency.

Warranty Details
Glass is not covered under warranty. Heat will not break glass.
Your De Vielle Fire Front is guaranteed (excluding wearable parts i.e. bae and hinges)
for 1 year from the date of purchase.
