DSE9xxx Battery Charger Installation Instructions

be removed.
Installation
The DSE9xxx battery char ers are desi ned to be mounted within a control panel, on the panel DIN rail utilisin the inte ral mounts
or on a chassis utilisin the mountin holes. For dimension and mountin details, see overleaf.
The DSE9xxx battery char ers are fit-and-forget. It can be permanently connected to the supply and the load, with no requirement to
disable the char er durin times of heavy load (such as en ine crankin ) or when in parallel with a char in alternator.
Battery suitability
The char er is factory set by DSE to suit Lead Acid batteries. The DSE91xx & DSE92xx battery char ers can be adjusted at the time
of orderin to suit other battery types. The DSE947x MKII & DSE948x MKII battery char ers are confi ured usin the DSE
Confi uraiton Suite to suit other battery types.
Care should be taken to ensure the batteries connected to the char er are of the correct ‘technolo y’ to suit the settin of the
char er.
Indications
The DSE9xxx Battery Char ers feature an LED indicator(s) to show the battery char er Status.

Boost Mode
(Not applicable to DSE9150 12V 2A or DSE9155 30V 2A)
(DSE947x & DSE948x MKII Series Only. Boost feature is controlled automatically, no external connection needed.)
Boost mode is operated by connectin the BOOST terminals to ether (for instance with an external switch or timer circuit. This will
raise the battery char er floatin volta e by 0.8V DC.
Caution:- Boost mode is intended for equalisation of cells in lead acid batteries.
