2.2InstallingtheBatteries
Remove the battery cover from the Remote Control and put 2xAAA size
batteries inside the compartment. The diagram inside the Battery
Compartmentshowsthecorrectwaytoinstallthebatteries.
2.3 UsingtheRemoteControl
To use the Remote Control, point it towards the front of the Digital Set Top
Box. The Remote Control has a range of up to 7 metres from the Set Top
Box at an angle of up to 60 degrees. The Remote Control will not operate if
itspathisblocked.Sunlightorverybrightlightwilldecreasethesensitivityof
theRemoteControl.

3 Connections
Caution:Makesuretocheckthevoltagespecificationofthewalloutletisthe
same rating with the receiver. To prevent the risk of electric shock, do not
openthecoverorthebackofthereceiver.
Note: Whenconnectingthe receiver to other equipment, e.g.,TV, VCR and
amplifier, make sure to refer to relevant user manual for instruction. Also,
makesureyou disconnect all the equipments from the mains supply before
theconnection.
4 FirstTimeInstallation
Afterallconnectionshavebeenmadeproperly,switchonTVandmakesure
the receiver is connected to the Main Power. Press Power button to switch
receiver on. If you are using the receiver for the first time or restored to
FactoryDefault,theMainMenuwillappearonyourTVscreen.
(1)Select[OSD Language]andpress
RIGHT/LEFT key to select an
language.
(2) Select [Dish Setup] and press
RIGHT/LEFT/OK to Dish Setup
menu.
(3) Once channel tuning is complete,
youarenowreadytowatchTV.
4.1 ProgramManageSettings
To access the Menu, press the MENU button and select [Program].The
Menu provides options to adjust the Program Manage Settings. Select an
option and press OK or RIGHT to adjust that setting. Press the EXIT button
toexittheMenu.
4.1.1 ProgramEdit
To edit your program preferences
(lock,skip, favourite, moveordelete),
you will need to enter the Program
Edit Menu. This Menu requires a
passwordtoaccess. Enterthedefault
password'000000'
SetFavouriteProgram
You can create ashortlistof favourite programs that youcaneasilyaccess.
SetFavouriteTVorRadioprogram:
1.Selectthe preferredprogram thenpresstheFAVOURITEbutton.Aheart-
shapedsymbolwillappearandtheprogramismarkedasafavourite.
2.RepeattheprevioussteptoselectmoreFavouriteprograms.
3.To confirm andexitthe Menu, presstheEXITkey.DisablefavouriteTVor
Radio Program; Press the FAVOURITE button on the Remote Control with
theheart-shapedsymbol.
ViewFavouriteProgram
1. Press the Favourite button and the
FavouriteMenuwillappear.
2. Press UP/DOWN to select your
FavouritePrograms.
3. Press OK to select your favourite
program.

DeleteaTVorRadioProgram
1. Select the Program and then press the BLUE button, A message will
appear.PressOKtodeletetheprogram.
2.Repeattheprevioussteptoselectmoreprogramstodelete.
SkipTVorRadioProgram
1. Selecttheprogram youwould liketo skipandpress theGREEN button.A
skipsymbolisdisplayed.Theprogramismarkedasaskip.
2.Repeattheprevioussteptoselectmoreprograms.
3.Toconfirmandexitthemenu,pressEXITkey.
DisableaskipTVorRadioprogram
PresstheGREENbuttonontheskipprogramwiththeskipsymbol.
MoveaTVorRadioProgram
1.Selectthe preferred program then press the RED button.Amovesymbol
willappear.
2.PressUP/DOWNtomovetheprogram.
3.PressOKtoconfirm.
4.Repeattheabovestepstomovemorechannels.
LockProgram
Youcanlockselectedprogramsforrestrictedview.
LockaTVorRadioProgram:
1.Select the preferred program then press the YELLOW button. A lock-
shapedsymbolisdisplayed.Theprogramisnowmarkedaslocked.
2.Repeattheprevioussteptoselectmoreprograms.
3.Toconfirmandexitthemenu,presstheEXITbutton.
4.PresstheYELLOWbuttontodisablethelockedprogram.
5. To view the locked program, you will be require to enter either the default
password'000000'oryourlastsetpassword.
4.1.2 EPG (Electronic program
guide)
The EPG is an on-screen TV guide
that shows scheduled programs
seven days in advance for every
tuned channel. Press the EPG button
on the Remote Control to access
guide. You can use the UP/DOWN
keyto select the preferred program.If
there is more than one page of
information, use the BLUE button for
page up and the YELLOW button for
pagedown
4.1.3Sort
Sort your channels from the following options:[Default]- remain the original
order. [Encrypt]-Sort the channels in encrypt mode. [Service Name]-Sort
thechannelsinalphabeticalorder.[ServiceID]-Sortthechannelsaccording
totheserviceid.
4.2VideoSetting
Toaccessthe Menu, press MENU thenselect[Picture].TheMenuprovides
options to adjust the video settings. Press UP/DOWN to select an option
andpressRIGHT/LEFTtoadjustthatsetting.PressEXITtoexitthemenu.
4.2.1AspectRatio
You must set the display format to either 4:3 Pan Scan, 4:3 Letter Box,16:9
WideScreenorAutotogetthemaximumdisplaywhenwatchingTV.
4.2.2Resolution
If the video does not appear correctly, change the setting.This setting is to
match the most common setting for HDMI. [480i]: for NTSC system TV.
[480P]: for NTSC system TV. [576i] for PAL system TV. [576P]: for PAL
system TV. [720P]: for NTSC or PAL system TV. [1080I]: for NTSC or PAL
systemTV.
4.2.3TVformat
Ifthe videodoes notappearcorrectly,you needtochange thesettings.This
should match the most common setting for TVs in your country.[NTSC]: for
NTSCsystemTV.[PAL]:forPALsystemTV;[Auto]:setTVformataccording
tothestreamautomatically.
4.3ChannelSearch
To access the menu, press MENU
and select [Search Channel]. The
Menu provides options to adjust the
Search Channel settings. Select an
option and press RIGHT/LEFT to
adjustthe settings. Press EXIT to exit
theMenu.

4.3.1Satellite
Configurethesettingsofsatellites.
Satellites' list: Press Up/Down to select a satellite, whose settings will be
shownatrightside.
LNB Type: Press LEFT/RIGHT/OK to show the list of LNB Types which is
shown as frequencies of local oscillator. You also can enter frequency by
UserSingle,UserDualatbottomofthelist.
LNBPower:PressLEFT/RIGHTtosettheLNBpower.
22K:PressLeft/Righttoswitchonoroffthe22K,whichissetwithautowhen
LNBTypeisduallocaloscillator.
Toneburst:EnableorDisablethetoneburstswitcher.
DiSEqC1.0:selecttherightportupto4fortherightLNB.
DiSEqC1.1:selecttherightportupto16fortherightLNB.
Motor:PressLEFT/RIGHTtoselectDiSEqC1.2orDiSEqC1.3.ThenPress
OKtoshowthemenutosetposition.
DiSEqC1.2:Movethemotortoarightpositiontolockthesignal.
DiSEqC1.3:Movethemotoraccordingtothelocalandsatellitepositions.
Move Auto: Press LEFT/RIGHT to start to move West/East. It will be
stoppedautomaticallywhenthesignalislocked.
Move Continue: Press LEFT/RIGHT to start to move West/East. It will
keepmovinguntilyoustopit.
MoveStep[1]:PressLEFT/RIGHTtomovejustastep.
StorePosition:storecurrentpositionofmotor.
GotoPosition:PressLEFT/RIGHTtogotothepositionstored.
GotoReference:Restallthepositions.
GotoX:gotothepositioncalculatedfromthelocalandsatellitepositions.
Add satellites: Press Red to add a
new satellite, in which you must input
an unique longitude, and edit the
satellite'snamewithsoftkeyboard.
Editsatellites:PressGreentoeditthefocusedsatellite.
Delete satellite: Press Yellow to delete the focused satellite. Press OK to
confirm.
SingleSatelliteScan:PressBluetopopthemenuofscanningsettings.
Scan Mode: Press Left/Right to select default, which scan the default
transpondersbuiltin,BlindScanandNetWork,whichscanwithNITon.
Crytped:PressLeft/RighttoselectAllChannelsorFTAChannels;
Service Type: Press Left/Right to selectALL, DTV or Radio. Press OK to
startscanningwiththeabovesettings.
Multi-Satellites Scan: PressOK to select satellites with themark "V“, then
pressblue topopthemenu ofscanningsetting.AfterConfiguring like single
satellitescan,pressOKtostartmulti-satellitesscan.

ChannelSearch
ScanthesatellitesorTranspondersaccordingtheconfigurations.
BlindScan
First scan the band to get the transponders which can be locked. After
gathering all Transponders, Scan the transponders one by one to get the
programs.
4.3.2 Transponder
PressGOTOto switchthelist toshowtransponders ofthefocused satellite.
AlsoyoucanpressGOTOtoswitchbacktosatellites'list.
Add transponder: Press Red to add a new transponder. It can't save an
existingTPunderthesamesatellite.
Edit transponder: Press Green to edit the focused transponder. It can't
saveanexistingTPunderthesamesatellite
Delete transponder: Press Yellow to delete the focused transponder.
PressOKtoconfirm.
Single Transponder Scan: Press Blue to pop the menu of scanning
setting.Afterconfiguringthesettings,PressOKtostartscanning.
Multi-Transponder Scan: Press OK to select transponders with the mark
"V", then press blue to pop the menu of scanning setting.After Configuring
thesettings,pressOKtostartmulti-transponderscanning.
4.4 TimeSetting
To access the Menu, press MENU
then select [Time]. The Menu
provides options to adjust the time
settings.
Press UP/DOWN to select an option and press RIGHT/LEFT to adjust the
settings.PressEXITtoexitthemenu.
(1)TimeAuto:updatetimewiththestreamtime,orNOT.
(2)TimeZone:SelecttheTimeZoneOffset.
(3)Date:showandsetthesystemdate.
(4)Time:showandsetthesystemtime.
(5)Sleep:If thissetting isoff,thisfunction doesnotwork. Ifthissetting isnot
off, a message will pop up after your preferred time to inform you, that the
device will go in to sleep mode. This message will appear under no any
operation. Auto-off function can be set in a time period at 0-12 hours.
Standardsettingisoff.PressSTANDBYbuttontoexitsleep/auto-offmode.

4.5Option
To access the Menu, press MENU
and select [Option]. The menu
provides options to adjust the OSD
Language, Subtitle Language and
Audio Language.
SelectanoptionandpressRIGHT/LEFTtoadjustthesetting.PressEXITto
exittheMenu.
(1)OSDLanguage:SelectanOSDlanguage.
(2)Audio Language: Select the preferred audio language for watching TV
channels.If thelanguageis notavailable,the defaultprogramlanguage will
beused.
(3)SubtitleLanguage:Selectthepreferredsubtitlelanguage.
(4)DigitalAudiosetoutputmodeofDigitalAudio
(5)BannerTimesettheperiodofbannerautodisappearing,
4.6System
To access the Menu, press MENU and select [System].The menu provides
optionsto adjust the system settings. Press the UP/DOWN keyto select an
option and press RIGHT/LEFT to adjust the setting. Press EXIT to exit the
Menu.
4.6.1SetPassword
Set or change the password for
locked programs. Enter your old
password or the default password
'000000'. You will then be asked to
enteryournewpassword.
Toconfirmre-enter your new password. Once it is confirmed, press EXITto
exittheMenu.
4.6.2RestoreFactoryDefault
ResetyourSetTopBoxtotheDefaultFactorySettings.InMainMenuselect
[Restore Factory Default] and press OK or RIGHT to select. Enter your
passwordorthedefaultpassword'888888'andpressOKtoconfirm.
Thisoptionwilldeleteallpresetchannelsandsettings.
4.6.3Information
Viewmodel,hardwareandsoftwareinformation.
4.6.4RecallList
enable or disable Recall list function, which support multi-recall -program
switching.
4.6.5Softwareupdate
selecttostart software update if USB is connecting and there'saupgrading
file.
4.7USB
To access the Menu, press the
MENU button and select [USB]. The
menu provides options to playback
Music and Photo files, it can support
WMA,JPEG, BMPfiles,Theunitwillonly support USB device withFATand
FAT32filesystem.ItwillnotsupportNTFSfilesystem.
4.7.1Multimedia:
if no USB device plugged into it, a warning message "No USB Device is
Found" displays, otherwise you can select the Music or Photo type in this
menuandpressOKtoenterthefilebrowserandselectthefiletoplayback

4.7.2 Photo configure:
-Slide Time: adjust slide show interval to 1~8 seconds .
-Slide Mode: adjust slide show effect as mode 0~59 or random.
-Aspect Ratio: Keep displays the picture as its original aspect, Discard
displays the picture in full screen mode.
