SECURITY INFORMATION
General :
Accidents in the working environment never occur by mistake : they are the last ring of a chain of
wrong behaviours or a general low level of security; often a combination of both.
The control systems, the correct way of running the machine, maintenance and safety devices are
all together sufficient to guarantee the security of the operator, an excellent final product, hygienic
working conditions and the general good maintenance of the whole system.
Follow the instructions in this manual and do not try to modify the security or electronic
devices.
- General security rules for the workers
Please find here under some general rules that must be always followed.
1. Access to the working area must be limited to the working personnel only.
2. All personnel must wear proper clothing in relation to the work they have to fulfil; this to
reduce their personal risk, to preserve hygene and avoid damage to the machine. Baggy
clothes, non tightened long hair, watches, rings, chains or whatever could get trapped in the
moving parts of the machine must not be used.
3. Do not assign maintenance or repair operations to people that are tired or under the influence
of alcohol or drugs.
4. Do not fulfil any operation that You are not qualified for or not included in this manual. Avoid
using inadequate instruments to fulfil any kind of operation.
5. Start the machine only when having perfectly understood how it works.
6. The fixed and mobile protections must be in the correct position during the working process :
to use the machine without protections could cause serious problems to the operator.
7. Turn off the main electric switch before any operation on the internal or external apparatus of
the electric board.
8. Keep clear, tidy and dry all the access ways and the working areas near the machine; verify
that there is enough space for personnel to move around the machine.
9. Avoid leaving anything onto the machine.
10.As prescribed by the regulations, provide a sufficient light in the working area.
11.At the end of every working cycle, check the efficiency of every switch and security device;
turn off the machine with the main switch and disconnect the electric feeding from the board.
12.Follow carefully all the accident prevention rules.
13.The non compliance to the safety rules could cause anomalies or malfunction of the machine
with the consequent suspension of the warranty; furthermore, the manufacturer declines all
liability in case of accidents to people of things due to an improper use of the machine.
CP spa is not responsible of any accident occurred to people or things if the
above rules have not been followed.

ACCIDENT PREVENTION SIGNALS AND DEVICES
All the CP spa machines are manufactured with fixed and mobile covers that protect the worker
from possible danger generated from the moving parts of the machine. Our machines are also
equipped with stickers in compliance to the accident prevention rules that help the worker to
operate in security.
ATTENTION
CP spa declines all responsibility for any damage to people or things due to modifications of the
machine or even parts of it, removal of the protections or of the security devices.

FURTHERMORE, THEY MUST BE REPLACED WHEN THEY BECOME
ILLEGIBLE.
INSTALLATION
All the equipment used by the client to put the machine in position ( crane, forklift, belts etc… )
must be compliant to the accident prevention rules. CP spa is not responsible for accidents caused
by non-fulfilment of these regulations.
ATTENNTION :
All means used to lift and transport the machine must be compatible with the working environment ;
therefore, machines with dangerous gas emission must not be used in environments where food is
treated.
WARNING :
We recommend to follow these rules when installing the machine :
- Position the machine in an adequate space.
- Access to the working area must be allowed to the working personnel only.
- The worker that will be assembling the machine must be equipped with proper tools and working
suits ( accident prevention shoes, gloves etc… ).

- If the machine is on a pallet, check that it is properly fixed in order to avoid danger to the
personnel and damage to the machine when unloading.
- Set the machine carefully on the floor in order to avoid impacts that could be dangerous for the
machine.
- According to the weight of the components, adequate lifting means must be used.
- When positioning the machine be sure that it does not create danger or difficulties for the
personnel or for the installation of other machines.
- Good illumination must be provided in the working environment.
- Before installing the machine control that the pavement is perfectly levelled.

ASSEMBLING :
After having positioned the machine, assemble the parts ( belts ) that were separated for transport
purposes.
Set the belts (1) in the retractable pistons (2); push strongly the belt against the piston (2) until the
hitch (3) has entered into the proper place.

ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
ATTENTION!
Always disconnect the electrical feeding by turning off the main switch when doing maintenance on
the electrical panel.
Control that the main electrical tension and that of the machine are the same ( check this on the
identification tag on the machine ).
MACHINE IDENTIFICATION
Every reversible sheeter is marked with an identification tag, where we indicate the main
characteristics ( model, serial number, voltage ). It is positioned in an easy place to see. The data
written on this identification tag represent Your machine and it’s characteristics, certifying it’s
compliance to the regulations in force.
This tag must not be removed for any reason nor can it be used for different purposes; should the
machine be dismantled, the tag must be destroyed.

DESCRIPTION OF THE MACHINE
How the machine works
The reversible sheeter “SF” is used to laminate puff pastry, dough etc. The dough set on the belts,
passes through the cylinders that can be regulated in order to obtain different laminating
thicknesses.
Pieces that make up the machine
The machine is made up of a solid structure in stainless steel or painted steel with a base with 4
self-locking wheels to facilitate moving the machine when required; the electric board and the
motor. Two side frames where all the kinematics are located; they are covered by panels. Two
strong stainless steel or painted steel arms complete with conveyor belts with differentiated speeds
to enable the advancement of the dough.

Note
The scrapers can be easily taken off to
be cleaned.

USE OF THE MACHINE
First thing check the correct direction of the belts; to do this press pedals 1 or 2 ( Fig. 6 ). The
machine will not work if the protection grids are not correctly lowered ( Fig. 7 ), the micro switches 1
( Fig. 8 ) will prevent it from moving.
ATTENTION!
The protection grids must not be used to stop the machine. For this purpose release the pedal o
press the STOP button.
IMPORTANT :
If the machine does not work, before proceeding with other controls, check that electricity is feeding
the machine and that the protection grids are lowered.
In Fig. 9 You can see that we can draw together or apart the laminating cylinders by moving the
lever 1 on the right or on the left hand side. It is possible to open and close the cylinders thanks to
the gauged section 2. It is possible to control the thickness desired on the calibrated indicator 3; the
thickness can vary from 0 to 47mm.
MACHINE MAINTENANCE
After every working cycle it is important to clean the machine carefully. Special attention must be
paid to the upper and lower scrapers.
If a conveyor belt slides, turn the regulation screw until the belt goes into the original working
position.
ATTENTION!
We recommend extreme caution if using water inside the working environment where the sheeters
are located. This could cause damage to the machine and be dangerous for electric security reasons.

MACHINE DISMANTLEMENT
The dismantlement of the machine must be done by qualified personnel. In any case we recommend
a careful exam of the description of the machine in this manual in order to acquire the necessary
know-how and organise properly the dismantling operations.
SECURITY PRECAUTIONS
The personnel must be specialised and well aware of the various problems in order to take adequate
measures to protect his own personal safety and that of the other people.
CLASSIFICATION OF THE MATERIALS
While dismantling the machine it is advisable to divide the materials in order to facilitate the recover.
Normal steel : base, structure, arms ( N.B. sometimes it could be stainless steel )
Stainless steel : all parts that come in contact with the product
Special steel : shafts, ball bearings, chains etc…
Various : electric motors, electric cables etc…
Follow carefully all local or national rules for the discharge of pollutant material.
General indications for the dismantlement procedure
- Disconnect the electrical feeding and disconnect all attachments
- Remove the electric board and the command apparatus
- Remove the independent groups ( motors, chains, gears etc… ) until you remain with only the
body of the machine.
ATTENTION
We recommend the destruction of the identification tag of the machine in order to avoid it being
used for other purposes.
This manual will have no longer value after the dismantlement of the machine.
