Wave Systems’ EMBASSY Trust Suite (ETS) is a set of trusted client
applications that delivers advanced security functionality, including:
• Superior VPN log-on security rooted to the TPM

Private Information Manager and Trusted Platform Module (TPM) chip
hardware
• Enhanced data protection via Document Manager’s file and folder

New Dell Client Manager Standard (DCM)
Our new cutting-edge software tool for centralized hardware management is available for
download at no charge for Dell OptiPlex customers. Dell Client Manager Standard empowers your
IT department to deploy, manage and troubleshoot Dell client systems across your entire
organization — from a single console — whether the operating system on the target PC is present
or not.
Using DCM’s integrated, enterprise-ready management console, IT can:
• Remotely identify, inventory and add computers to the pool of managed resources
• Remotely configure or update the BIOS of multiple computers simultaneously (with or
without an agent)
• Monitor the subsystems of important computers
• Assess need and readiness for a hardware refresh or OS migration
• Automatically send hardware trouble-ticket incident reports to help-desk personnel
• Remotely push the client agent to systems as needed, rather than having the manage
the agent within an image
Secure Remote Power Control
With Alert Standard Format (ASF) 2.0, this added feature enables IT to remotely power up,

Having standardized images that are built for your specific departments, field offices, or
regions, can significantly simplify and accelerate system deployment. Dell Imaging
Services can help by providing the expertise to develop, test, maintain and deploy your
custom images. It is possible to utilize solutions such as one-touch factory integration, which
helps minimize errors, and reduce PC deployment times.
• Dell imaging experts use Microsoft® Sysprep, to script and provide cross-platform
imaging for all of your Dell client systems.
• Industry changes, such as driver updates, can be automatically added to images.
• Using Dell’s X-image technology, we are able to build a single image which can be
run on any Dell computer in your environment. You may even choose to modify
this image, to be utilized on computers from other manufacturers.
Designed for companies and organizations ordering larger quantities of systems, Dell
Custom Factory Integration (CFI) enables you to build systems that meet your exact
operational and organizational needs. A CFI representative will guide you through the
process of having custom hardware, software and peripheral integrated into your new

Based on 3DMark05 and Sysmark 2004 SE Office Productivity benchmark tests performed
by Dell Labs in August 2006 on OptiPlex 740 with AMD® Athlon 64 X2 CPU, DDR2 1GB
(dual channel) memory, 80GB 7200 SATA HDD, NVIDIA integrated graphics and XP Pro
SP2 OS, compared with the OptiPlex GX620 with Intel Pentium D 830 CPU, 80GB 7200
SATA HDD, Intel 945G integrated graphics, and XP Pro SP2 OS. Actual performance and
power consumption will vary based on configuration, usage and manufacturing variability.

Shared Memory
Between 64 MB and 512 MB of system memory may be allocated to support integrated
graphics, depending on system memory size and other factors.
Dual-Channel Memory
Dual-channel memory requires t2 each of the same capacity memory DIMMS.
Memory Key
For writeable storage devices, MB means 1 million bytes; total accessible capacity varies
depending on operating environment.
Desktops configured with 4GB of memory or more
The total amount of available memory will be less that than 4 GB. The amount less depends
on the actual system configuration. To fully utilize 4GB or more of memory requires a 64-bit
enabled processor and 64-bit Operating System.
Hard Drive Size
For hard drives, GB means 1 billion bytes; actual capacity varies with preloaded material and
operating system and will be less.
DVD+/-RW Drives
Discs burned with this drive may not be compatible with some existing drives and players;
using DVD+R media provides maximum compatibility.
DVD-ROM
DVD-ROM drives may have write-capable hardware that has been disabled via firmware
modifications.
