IMPORTANT
-The appliance is exclusively for the use
for which it has been expressly manufac-
tured. Any other use is to be considered
inappropriate and therefore dangerous.
The manufacturer cannot be held
responsible for eventual damage caused
by inappropriate, improper or irrespon-
sible use and/or for repairs made to the
product by unauthorised personnel.
-After removing the appliance from the
packaging, make sure that the product is
complete and in perfect condition.
-The plastic bag in which the appliance
was packaged should be kept out of
reach of children as it poses a suffocation
hazard.
In order to remove the dust that may
have accumulated on the appliance, sim-
ply dust it off with a soft cloth.
-Before inserting the plug into the electri-
cal outlet, make certain:
-the voltage of the outlet corresponds to
the value indicated on the information
label, attached to the appliance.
-the electrical outlet is adequately
earthed: the manufacturer declines
any responsibility for the lack of
observation of this norm.
-This appliance is not intended for use by
children or other persons without assi-
stance or supervision if their physical,
sensory or mental capabilities prevent
them from using it safely. Children should
be supervised to ensure that they do not
play with the appliance.
-The use of an extension lead is not rec-
ommended as overheating of the exten-
sion lead may occur during the opera-
tion of the toaster.
-When the appliance is plugged into the
electrical outlet, and moreover, while it is
turned on, never place hands into the
bread toasting slots (I).
-Never allow the appliance to be used by
children or used without adult supervi-
sion.
-Do not touch the appliance with wet or
damp hands.
-The metal sides of the toaster and the
areas surrounding the bread slots (I)
become very hot during use: operating
the appliance should be carried out
using only the plastic dials + handles.
-Bread is a foodstuff which may catch
fire. Do not use this appliance under or
next to curtains or other combustible
material.
-Do not cover the appliance while it is in
use.
-Unplug the appliance from the electrical
outlet when it is not in use.
-Do not unplug the appliance from the
outlet by pulling on the cord.
-Do not leave the appliance exposed to
the elements, (rain, direct sunlight, frost,
etc.).
-Before doing any cleaning or operation,
unplug the appliance from the electrical
outlet. Do not immerse the appliance, the
plug, or the electrical cord in water.
-If the supply cord is damaged, it must be
replaced by the manufacturer, its service
agent or similarly qualified persons in
order to avoid a hazard.
-In case of break down or improper func-
tioning of the appliance, turn off the
appliance without tampering with it. For
necessary repairs and for the substitution
of the electrical cord, consult the techni-
cal service centre authorised by the man-
ufacturer.
This appliance conforms to the Directive
89/336/CEE relative to electromagnetic
compatibility.
The materials and the objects destined for
contact with food products are in compliance
with the regulations of the EEC directive
89/109.

At the end of its working life, the
product must not be disposed of
as urban waste.
It must be taken to a special local
authority differentiated waste
collection centre or to a dealer
providing this service. Disposing
of a household appliance sepa-
rately avoids possible negative
consequences for the environ-
ment and health deriving from
inappropriate disposal and ena-
bles the constituent materials to
be recovered to obtain signifi-
cant savings in energy and
resources.As a reminder of the
need to dispose of household
appliances separately, the pro-
duct is marked with a crossed-
out wheeled dustbin.
