ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
280 GT SIDE LOCK COVER
CONNECTOR ASSEMBLY
NOTE 2: SLC MUST NOT BE LOCKED INTO PLACE PRIOR TO PLUGGING LEADS
PLUG LEADS TO CONNECTOR ASSEMBLY PER PRINT.
STEP 1:
AFTER ALL LEADS ARE BUILT,
SEAT SIDE LOCK COVER (SLC). SEAT BY USING AN
ASSIST TOOL (REPAIR TOOL P/N’S AVAILABLE FROM
YOUR DELPHI ENGINEER). PLACE ASSIST TOOL ON
SLC AND EXERT PRESSURE UNTIL SLC SLIDES INTO
LOCKED POSITION.
STEP 3:
STEP 2: BUILD (1) ONE CONNECTOR POSITION ASSURANCE
(CPA) TO CONNECTOR ASSEMBLY.
HOLD CONNECTOR ASSEMBLY PLUGGING SIDE
AWAY FROM HAND. HOLD CPA WITH
EXTENSIONS TOWARD CONNECTOR.
SLIDE EXTENSIONS INTO SLOTS AND SNAP
INTO PLACE USING FINGERS.

CONNECTOR ASSEMBLY
AFTERALL LEADS ARE BUILT, SEAT SIDE LOCK COVER (SLC). SEAT SLC BY
USING AN ASSIST TOOL. PLACE ASSIST TOOL ON SLC AND EXERT
PRESSURE UNTIL SLC SLIDES INTO LOCKED POSITION.

Prior to Mating
After Mating the Connectors, Push
on the CPA until it is in the Final
Staged Position. (The Arrows show
the area to push and the direction.)
