and are convinced that you will be satisÞed with this state-of-
the-art appliance.The appliance complies with the relevant safety
regulations.
In order to always guarantee the optimum function and performance of your chocolate
melting pot / fondue and to ensure your personal safety, we have one request:
Please read through these operating instructions prior to initial
use and especially follow the safety instructions!
All activities on and with this appliance may only be carried out as described in these
operating instructions.
Children should be supervised in order to ensure that they
do not play with the appliance.
If you should pass the appliance on, please include these operating instructions.

Safety instructions 02
Please read carefully through the following information
and keep these operating instructions, in case you need to
refer to them later.
Designated use
•The melting pot is for the purpose of melting chocolate in quantities that generally
occur in private households. It is not suitable for commercial use, e.g. in restaurants or
in other catering establishments.
•Mixed chocolates (pralines, nut Þllings or similar) are not suitable for melting.
•The melting pot must not be used outdoors.
•The appliance may only be used with the included accessories.
Hazard for children and a wider group of persons
•This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with limited
physical, sensory or mental abilities or lacking experience and/or knowledge, unless
they are supervised by a person responsible for their safety or have received
instructions for use of the device from this person in advance.
•Keep children away from packaging material. Suffocation hazard if swallowed. Ensure
that packaging bag is not put over the head.
•Children should be supervised in order to ensure that they do not play with the
appliance.
Hazard from electricity
Electric shock hazard! The appliance operates with
hazardous voltage.
Handling liquids in relation to electrical appliances requires
utmost attention!
A frequent cause of household accidents a lack of attention
during routine activities. Ensure that your hands are always
dry when connecting/disconnecting the mains plug or when
operating the appliance.

•The appliance must not be exposed to dripping or spray water.
•The melting pot and mains plug must not be immersed in water or other liquids.
Electrical shock hazard! Therefore, also do not use the appliance in the vicinity of
moisture sources, e.g. a sink.
•Do not operate the appliance outdoors.
•Only connect the appliance to a properly installed socket, with voltage corresponding
to the Technical data.
•When using an adapter plug or extension cord, these must comply with the valid
safety regulations.The speciÞed maximum voltage must not be exceeded.
•Ensure that the socket is well-accessible, so that you can remove the mains plug
quickly, if necessary.
•Do not use the appliance:
– if it is damaged,
– if the pot is extremely dirty,
– if the power cable or plug are damaged,
– if it has fallen.
•Unwind the power cable completely prior to use. In doing so, ensure that the power
cable is not trapped, squeezed or damaged by sharp edges or hot items.
•Disconnect the mains plug from the socket:
– if you are not using the appliance,
– after each use,
– before cleaning or putting the appliance away (allow to cool off completely),
– if an obvious fault occurs during operation,
– in a thunder storm.
Always pull on the plug, not on the cable.
•Do not carry out any modiÞcations to the appliance or its mains cable.
•Only allow repairs to be carried out on appliances by a professional workshop.Also
pay attention to the guarantee conditions.
•If the power cable of the appliance is damaged, it must be replaced by the
manufacturer, its customer service or a professional workshop, in order to avoid
hazards.
•The appliance must not be connected to a time switch or other separate remote
activation system, such as a dimmer switch or a remote-control socket.
Burning/scalding and Þre hazard
•Do not move the appliance during use.
•The melting pot becomes hot during use. Do not touch it and allow it to cool off
completely prior to moving, cleaning or putting it away.

In order to avoid burns, do not touch the pot and heater with
bare hands during use. Only touch the pot on the handle.
• Do not leave the appliance unattended during use, if it is heating up or still cooling
down.
Injury hazards from other causes
• For hygiene reasons, do not reheat leftover chocolate.
• Do not allow the power cable to hang over the edge of the table top or work surface.
• Lay the power cable so that it does not become a trip hazard.
Possible damage to property
• Place the device on a sturdy, even and heatproof surface.When doing so, ensure a
sufÞciently large distance to strong heat sources, e.g. heating plates, heating pipes, et al.
• Avoid a heat accumulation and position the appliance so that heat can escape all
around the housing during use.
• Do not place the appliance under a hanging cupboard or in a corner.The appliance
must be not be obstructed upwards.Also maintain a distance to easily ßammable
materials, e.g. curtain or table cloth.
• Do not place any items, e.g. cloths or packaged foods on the hot appliance. Fire
hazard!
• There are feet on the underside of the appliance.As the furniture/ßoor surfaces are
made of diverse materials and are treated with diverse care products, it cannot be
entirely ruled out that some of these materials contain components, which could
attack and soften the appliance feet. If necessary, place a non-slip base under the
appliance.
• Use heat-resistance plastic or wooden utensils for stirring.
• Only melt the chocolate in the pot on the heater.
• Never melt the chocolate in the heater itself and do not Þll any liquids into the heater.
• Do not use the pot on an electric or gas stove and never put the pot in the
microwave.
• The heater, the pot and the accessories are not dishwasher safe.
• Do not use any aggressive chemical detergents, abrasives, hard sponges, or similar, for
cleaning.

Prior to initial use 04
The melting pot and mains plug must not be immersed in
water or other liquids. Electrical shock hazard!
The melting pot becomes hot during use. Do not touch it and
allow it to cool off completely prior to moving, cleaning or
putting it away.
Do not leave the appliance unattended during use, if it is
heating up or still cooling down.
Use heat-resistance plastic or wooden utensils for stirring
the chocolate.
Unpacking
• Remove the appliance and accessories from the box.
• Carefully remove all packaging materials and carefully unwind the power cable.
Cleaning and heating
• Clean the appliance with a slightly dampened cloth prior to initial use, in order to
remove possible packaging and production residues.
• Wipe all damp residues dry.
When using for the Þrst time, a slight odour occurs, which
is, however, harmless and dissipates after a short time.
Ensure sufÞcient ventilation.
• For setting up the appliance, see Operation.
• Turn ON/OFF switch (2) to position II – Operating control lamp (1) illuminates in
red on the right.
• Allow appliance to heat up completely (approx. 15 minutes).
• Turn ON/OFF switch (2) to position O– Operating control lamp (1) is off.
• Disconnect the mains plug from the power supply and allow the appliance to cool off
completely.
• Wipe all parts again with a slightly dampened cloth.
Your melting pot is now ready to use.

Inform all other persons also using the appliance about
the strong heat development. Do not leave the appliance
unattended during operation.
In the underside of the heater, there are holders for winding up
the power cord during storage.
Prior to operation, the power cable must be completely
unwound!
Prepare the chocolate by grating large pieces or chopping
it with a knife.
• Place the heater (3) on a heat-resistance and non-slip surface near a mains socket
(observer safety instructions).
• Only add a small amount of the chopped chocolate to the pot Þrst.
• Only connect the appliance to a properly installed socket, with voltage corresponding
to the Technical data.
• Place the pot (4) into the heater (3).
• Turn ON/OFF switch (2) to position II – Operating control lamp (1) illuminates in
red on the right.
• After a short time, the chocolate begins to melt.Allow the chocolate to melt
completely and now add the remaining chocolate gradually.
Stir through the melted chocolate in between, in order
to prevent burning. When Þlling, please observe the
maximum Þlling capacity of 250 ml.
• As soon as the chocolate has melted completely, turn the ON/OFF switch (2) to
position I.The operating control lamp (1) will illuminate on the right.
Position I of the ON/OFF switch keeps the chocolate
melted.

• You can pour the melted chocolate into the praline moulds (5) and scrape of the
excess chocolate with the scraper (7).You can distribute the chocolate better by
lightly tapping the praline mould.
• Use the wooden skewers (8) for picking up pieces of fruit and dipping them into the
melted chocolate.
• Place the fruit skewers on the drip rack (6) until the chocolate coating has hardened.
After use
• Turn ON/OFF switch (2) to position O– Operating control lamp (1) is off.Then,
remove the mains plug from the socket.
• Pour the rest of the melted chocolate completely out of the pot.
• Allow the heater and pot to cool off.
The heater (3) must not be immersed in water or other
liquids. Electrical shock hazard!
Remove the plug from the socket before cleaning the appliance.
Check the power cable for damage regularly. Never try to open
or repair the appliance yourself.

Do not use any metal items, aggressive chemical
detergents, abrasives, hard sponges, or similar, for
cleaning.
Clean the melting pot prior to each use.
• Remove large chocolate residues in the pot using a plastic or wooden scraper.
• Clean the pot (4), the praline moulds (5), the drip rack (6), the scraper (7) and the
wooden skewers (8) in warm water with some dishwashing detergent.
• Dry off all parts thoroughly.Allow the wooden skewers to dry off afterwards, before
putting them away.
• Clean the heater (3) from the outside with a cloth that has been slightly dampened

with water using some dishwashing detergent and wipe off all damp residues so that
they are thoroughly dry.

• Dispose of the packaging in an environmentally appropriate manner.
The appliance must not be disposed of with household
waste.
If the appliance is no longer able to be used, ask the
responsible waste disposal association about the necessary
disposal measures.
• In order to avoid danger from a defective appliance, cut the power cable prior to
disposal.
Prior to cutting the power cable, disconnect the plug. Risk
of mortal danger from electric shock!

Chocolate Melting Pot / Fondue GT-CHM-02
The appliance has been manufactured with the greatest care.
The warranty period is three years from the date of purchase. Please retain the sales
receipt as proof of purchase as without it the warranty claim cannot be processed.
During the warranty period, the sales receipt and the completed warranty card with a
description of the fault must be returned once you have contacted the service centre
by phone. A new appliance will be returned.
This warranty is in addition to your statutory rights.Your statutory rights are not
affected.
This warranty does not apply in cases of damage caused by accident, improper use,
abuse and force majeure.
This warranty will be invalidated if the appliance is tampered with in any way
whatsoever.
