cal, sensory or mental abilities, or persons lacking experience and/or knowledge, unless
any such person is supervised by a person responsible for his or her safety, or has
received from such person instructions as to how the device is to be used.
zKeep children away from packaging material. There is a risk of suffocation if it is swal-
lowed. Also make sure that the packaging sack is not placed over one's head.
zChildren must be supervised to ensure that they don't play with the device.
Danger through electricity
zThe base of the Crepe Maker should not be dipped into water or any other liquid.
Danger of electric shock! As such, do not use the device in close proximity to sources
of moisture, such as washbasins.
zDo not use the device with wet hands, and do not operate it outdoors.
zAttach the device to a duly installed power outlet with earth contacts, the voltage of

zMake sure that the power outlet is easily accessible so that, if necessary, you can quickly
pull out the power supply plug.
zDo not use the Crepe Maker:
- if there is damage to the device itself or parts thereof,
- if the baking plate is dirty,
- if there is damage to the power cable or the plug,
- if the device has fallen on the floor.
zUnwind the power cable completely prior to every use. Make sure that the power cable
is not damaged by sharp edges or hot objects.
zPull the plug from the power outlet:
- if the Crepe Maker is not in use,
- after every use,
- before you clean or put away the device,
- if any disruption obviously arises during operation,
- upon an electrical storm.
In doing so, always pull on the plug, not on the cable.

Danger of fire / burns
zPosition the device in such a way that the heat of the baking plate all around it that
arises upon use can be easily drawn off. Minimum distance to other objects: 50 cm.
zProducts being baked can cause burns! As such, do not place the device under a hanging
cabinet or in a corner. Keep it also some distance from easily flammable materials, such
as curtains or tablecloths.
zThe baking plate is hot while being used. Refrain from touching it.
zDo not leave the device unattended it is being heated or is still cooling down.
zAllow the Crepe Maker to cool down completely before you clean it or put it away.
zDo not put any items, such as cloths or packaged foods, on the baking plate. There is
a danger of fire!
Warning - material damages
zDo not apply water, oil, shortening or any other liquid or substance on the device and/
or on the base of the Crepe Maker.
zSet the device on a stable, even and heat-resistant underside. In doing so, make sure
that there is sufficient distance from sources of high heat, such as heating plates, heating
pipes, etc.
zThe feet of the device are found on the underside of the base of the Crepe Maker. Since
the surfaces of furniture consist of various materials and are treated with various care
products, it cannot be completely ruled out that such materials might contain compo-
nents that affect and soften the feet of the device. If necessary, place a slip-resistant pad
under the device.
zWhen preparing meals, it is inevitably the case that splashes of food material occur.
Make sure that the underside is easy to clean and able to be easily wiped. If necessary,
place a suitable pad under the device.

Prior to first use
Unpack
1. Take the device and its accessories out of the packaging.
2. Carefully remove all packaging material and completely unwind the power cable.
3. Check whether all parts are present and intact.
Cleaning + heating
Prior to the first use, you should initially clean the device in order to remove dust and
possible packaging and production residues. After doing this, heat up the Crepe Maker
without any foodstuffs and clean it once again after it cools down.
DANGER - risk of fire / burns
- The baking plate is hot while being used. Refrain from touching it.
- Do not leave the device unattended it is being heated or is still cooling down.
- Allow the Crepe Maker to completely cool down before you clean it or pack it
away.
The first use of the device might result in a slight smell. This is harmless. Provide
for sufficient ventilation; for example, by means of an opened window.
1. Clean all parts of the Crepe Maker, as described in the section entitled "Cleaning"; see
page 9.
2. Place the base on an even, heat-resistant surface.
3. Place the baking plate on the base.
4. Insert the power plug into a power outlet.

Even if the temperature controller is at MIN, the green control light stays illumi-
nated. However in principle, the baking plate is not heated in the MIN position.
6. After a few minutes, turn the temperature controller back to MIN and pull the plug
from the power outlet.
7. Allow the device to cool down.
8. Wipe the baking plate clean with a soft, lightly moistened cloth.

Use: baking crepes
For useful information regarding the crepe and a basic recipe, see page 11 of these
instructions further below.
1. Prepare the batter.
2. Place the base of the Crepe Maker on an even, heat-resistant surface and place the
baking plate on the base.
3. Insert the power plug into a power outlet.
The red control light indicates that the device is being supplied with electricity.
4. Turn the temperature controller to the desired baking stage.
As soon as the green control light is illuminated, you may commence baking the crepes.
5. Give the batter centrically on the hot baking plate.
Approximately 2/3 of the baking plate should be covered with batter.
6. Briefly dip the batter spreader that is provided into water.
7. With the batter spreader, distribute the batter evenly and thinly on the heated baking
surface. Without pressure, apply the batter spreader on the batter in the center of the
baking plate, and spread the batter in a circular movement towards the edge.
8. With the crepe turner, turn the batter after some 60 seconds (depends on the desired
degree of browning). After an additional 60 seconds, the crepe is finished.
CAUTION - material damage
Do not cut the crepes on the baking plate. If you coat and garnish the crepes make
sure that the crepe does not burn on the bottom.
9. Slide the crepe turner under the crepe, lift the crepe and put it on a plate.
After doing this, you can prepare the next crepe.
Baking crepes slowly/keeping crepes warm
XBaking crepes slowly: Set the temperature control knob to 2. The baking time will then
amount to approx. 90 seconds (depending on the required degree of browning).
XKeeping baked crepes warm: Set the temperature control knob to 1.

Information and tips
zKeep dipping the batter spreader into water. The batter can then be distributed better.
zThe indicated number of 60 seconds per side is an approximate value. The optimal
baking time also depends on the consistency of the batter, the adjusted temperature
and personal taste.
zFind the perfect baking time and temperature setting by testing out.
zIf folding does not occur correctly, even after the third crepe, consider the notes on
page 11.
zDuring baking, the green control light can briefly turn on and off. The Crepe Maker then
heats up again.
After use
1. Set the temperature controller to MIN.
2. Pull the power supply plug from the power outlet.
3. Allow the Crepe Maker to completely cool down.

Faults and Rectification
Conformity Declaration
The conformity of the product with the legally prescribed standards is guaranteed. The full
conformity declaration can be found on the Internet at www.gt-support.de.
Fault Possible causes and rectification
Does not function. - Is the plug in the power outlet?
Does not function, although the green con-
trol light is illuminated.
- Is the temperature controller still at
MIN?
During baking, the green control light goes
on and off.
- If the green control light is no longer illu-
minated, the actual temperature has fallen
below the adjusted temperature. The
device then heats up. If the adjusted bak-
ing temperature is reached, the green
control light is illuminated. This is not an
error.
Crepes were not successful. - Was recipe information followed?
- Is the temperature controller correctly
adjusted? - See notes on page 11.

Around the crepe
For crepes to be successful
zThe first crepe often tastes a bit greasy. This is normal. If the crepes continue to taste
greasy, check the following issues:
- Is butter included in the recipe? If yes: use a bit less than indicated.
- Is cream included in the recipe? If yes: use less cream.
- Replace the corresponding percentage of cream with milk. - Use smaller eggs.
- Add a bit more flour and milk to any batter that is too greasy.
- If necessary, carefully wipe away any excess grease from the baking plate.
For this purpose, use (for instance) several layers of kitchen towels. Be careful if the
baking plate is hot. Danger of burns!
- You can determine the browning of the crepe by the temperature controller or
through the baking time.
- Find out by trial the optimum baking time and temperature settings.
zYour crepes can be both sweet and savoury:
- Sweet: crepes coated with sugar, jam, nut-nougat cream or cream.
- Savoury: crepes overlaid with sautéed mushrooms and onions, ham strips, grated
cheese or herbs.
zCrepes can be freshly prepared, or can be kept warm in a covered bowl in an 80 °C
oven. However, fresh crepes always taste best.
