HDMI ADAPTER SPK618
The SPK618 HDMI adapter is designed to solve the 4K/120 and 8K incompatibility issues when connected between Denon receivers supporting 4K/120 and
8K video resolutions and game consoles that support 4K/120 and 8K video resolution output.

To ensure maximum compatibility and performance before you connect the adapter, make sure that your receiver has been updated to the latest firmware.
Go to the Setup menu and Select General > Firmware > Check for Update and click “Update Now” if an update is offered.

Procedure to connect the SPK618 adapter.
Connect the game console to the adapter’s HDMI input using a certified ultra high-speed HDMI cable, then use the supplied ultra high-speed HDMI
cable to connect the adapter’s output to your receiver’s 8K HDMI input terminal.
Next, connect the receiver’s HDMI monitor out to your HDMI 2.1 compatible TV. Note: To enjoy 8K and 4K/120 video, you must use a certified ultra
high-speed HDMI cable.
Plug the adapter’s power supply into an AC outlet.

There’s an LED light on the front of the adapter chassis that turns Green when the unit is on, and Red when it’s on standby. The adapter will
automatically turn on whenever the game console is turned on.

Procedure to configure your 8K compatible Denon AV receiver HDMI Video Settings
Bring up the Setup menu and under the Video menu, select 4K/8K Signal format.
Select 8K enhanced if your TV is HDMI 2.1 compatible.

Once your TV and your receiver are properly configured, you can set your gaming
console to output 4K at 120 frame per second.

Procedure to verify if your system is ready to playback 8K content as well as 4K games at 120
There’s a couple of ways you can verify that your system is ready to playback 8K content as well as 4K games at 120 frames per second.
Option 1
Press the “Info” button on the receiver’s remote control to display the formats of the signal going into the input and the signal output. This will allow you to
see if the 4K or the 8K signals are passing through properly.

Option 2
Press the “Setup” button on the receiver’s remote control and select “General” from the menu.
Select “Information” and under the “Video” sub-menu, you will see 2 different Info menus providing a lot of information, including Resolution. Frame rate,
HDR, what type of HDR and what additional HDMI 2.1 features are being passed from your source to your TV.
You can also verify that the TV is receiving content in 4K/120 by bringing up the TV’s info screen.
You’re now ready to enjoy not only 8K content, but 4K games at 120 frames per second.
