ATTENTION:
Please always place the lamp on a at,
stable surface. The lamp should not be
tilted over 45 degrees both when in use
and during storage. The oil container of
this kerosene lamp is designed to be in
clear glass, to provide clear visibility of
the amount of lamp oil. When the lamp is
lit, the glass tube acts as a chimney and
emits very hot air stream. Therefore, do
not place the lamp near ammable ma-
terials, such as curtains. Always leave an
area of one meter free above the lamp.
Please handle the lamp with care. Use
the wick screw as support for a beer
grip while liing and moving the lamp.
WARNING: Keep the kerosene lamp
outside the reach of children, both when
in use and during storage. Do not leave
burning lamps unsupervised or near
children and pets.
WARNING: In case of small children, just
sip of lamp oil or even sucking the wick,
may lead to life threatening lung damage.
WARNING: If lamp oil is swallowed, do
not induce vomiting. Seek medical advice
immediately or contact a poison informa-
tion center and show these warnings.
FUEL:
We recommend using fuel that consists
of 100% pure paran oil. Pure kerosene
(lamp oil) minimizes the risk of oozing
and unpleasant odors. If the product is
used correctly, it is normally not nec-
essary to change the wick (last several
years), since it is the fuel that burns and
not the wick. Please make sure the lamp
doesn’t sit unused for a long time.
WICK:
Please note that the wick is consumable.
The replacement of the wick (1 3/8 inch
wide) can easily be found in oil lamp
stores. The wick needs to be replaced
when it has become dry and hard. Pull
the old wick out from the boom of
the burner (please do not use the wick
screw, as the gears may be damaged).
Insert the new wick from the boom
of the burner and turn the wick screw
clockwise until the gears aach to the
wick. It is important to trim the wick with
a pair of scissors to obtain the same lev-
el of the ame all the way round.
INSTRUCTIONS – LIGHT UP:
1-2. Remove the glass tube and unscrew
the burner (metal cone) from the glass
bole.
3. Fill the oil container with lamp oil (max
500 ml).
4. Screw the burner (metal cone) back
on and let the wick soak up the lamp oil
fully (up to 24 hours for the rst usage).
5–7. Light the wick and put on the glass
tube. Adjust the wick so that 1-2 mm is
visible. If the wick is turned up too high,
the wick itself burns, the ame becomes
too high and soot forms in the glass
tube.
INSTRUCTIONS – TURN OFF:
8-9. Blow diagonally down into the glass
tube or turn the wick down until the
ame goes out. Please be aware that the
glass tube will be very hot aer the lamp
was in use.
