DESCRIPTION
Digicom’s VEGA devices have been projected to convert and transport the
data coming from RS232 serial ports via IP.
VEGA is the suitable solution to send industrial information even thanks to
the common use of Internet joined with the large availavility of accesses and
to the low cost.
VEGA has 4 serial ports RS232C with a maximum speed of 19200 bps.
Optionally it is possible to install a wireless communication module at 434MHz.
In this case it will be able to manage up to 100 remote devices.
Equipped with a powerful ARM9 microprocessor, VEGA can concentrate the
data and send them through the Internet.
VEGA is available with 3 different communication modules:
lPSTN Analog Modem ( 56Kbps V.90 version or 33.6Kbps V.34+ version).
l900-1800MHz Dual-band GPRS Modem (Class 2 or Class 10 version).
lBuilt-in ADSL Router
In the ADSL Router version it is possible to optionally install the PSTN or the GPRS modem as Back-up system.
In the Wireless version (GPRS modem and 434MHz local communication module) a particular care has been
placed while carrying out the device to reduce the eventual interactions between the two wireless technologies
(434/2.4GHz and 900/1800MHz).
All the operating modes, management and scheduling of the connections will be managed directly by VEGA depending
on the set congurations.
GEO - Tracking
Built-in module for the PDA geo-tracking with several functions:
- Positioning, movement and history
- Certication of Installation/Activation
- “Not authorized area/site” alarm

Two buttons are present on the front panel: SOS and
HELP; one is used to activate a request for an on-site
intervention, the other one the request for a call from the
system assistance center.
Furthermore VEGA is equipped with a security circuit
(Anti-tamper) that sends a message in case an attempt
of intrusion is detected.
