Quick Installation Guide
Thank you for choosing DIGIEVER products. The following quick guide will lead
you to complete the installation and configuration of the product. Please read the
following description carefully.
Safety Notice
The following safety precautions will increase the life of the product. Follow all
precautions and instructions.
Electrical Safety
Unplug this product from the power source before cleaning.
Use only the bundled power adapter. Using other power adapters may damage
your device.
Ensure that you plug the power adapter to the correct power input rating. Check
the label on the power adapter for the power rating.
Caution: Power cord(s) must be plugged into a socket-outlet with earthing
connection.
Operation Safety
DO NOT place this product in a location where it may get wet.
Place this product on a flat and stable surface.
Use this product in environments with an ambient temperature between 0°C and
45°C.
DO NOT block the air vents on the case of this product. Always provide proper
ventilation for this product.
DO NOT insert any object or spill liquid into the air vents. If you encounter technical
problems with this product, contact a qualified service technician or your retailer.
DO NOT attempt to repair this product yourself.
Caution: There is a risk of explosion if the battery is replaced with an incorrect type.
Dispose of used batteries appropriately.
Caution: Slide-rail-mounted equipment is not to be used as a shelf or a work space.

Pre-installation Notice
Please make sure the following items are prepared for installing DIGIEVER
Failover Server.
Network connection
Computer for configuring the Failover Server
1-8 hard disks
Compatibility of hard disk with the Failover Server
1 slotted screwdriver and 1 Philips screwdriver

Remote PC System Requirements
The following are minimum system requirements for a personal computer to
operate the Server in better performance:

Microsoft® Edge 44.18362.387.0 or above, Chrome 56.0.29 or above,
Firefox 51.0.1 or above, Opera 43.0.2 or above
CPU
Intel®i7 CPU or above
Network
Minimum 10/100/1000 Ethernet (Gigabit Ethernet is recommended)
Note: It is suggested to connect cameras and Failover Server with
Gigabit switch.
Memory
16G or above

Graphics Adapter
AGP or PCI-Express, minimum 1024 × 768, 16bit colors, 1G memory or
above
Note: It is highly recommended to use a graphics adaptor which
provides higher than resolutions 1024 x 768 in order to experience
the full benefits of the software.
Make sure the display DPI setting is set to default at 96DPI
To set DPI value, right-click on desktop, choose “Settings” tab
>> “Advanced” >> “General.”
CD-ROM Drive
It is necessary to read the operating instructions in the provided CD-ROM.
Adobe Reader
It is necessary to read the operating instructions in the provided CD-ROM.
The audio function will not work if a sound card is not installed in the PC.
Audio may be interrupted depending on network traffic.

Hard Disk Installation
Please follow the steps as illustrated below to install the hardware:
Take out the disk tray from
Server.
Connect the Ethernet cable to the port
of 2.5 Gigabit LAN.
Install the hard disk in each tray
and lock the disk with four
screws. Ensure the disk holes
match the holes at the base of
disk tray.
Connect the power cord to power
connector.
Insert the disk tray into the
Server and push it to the end.
Turn on the Server and there is a beep
to indicate the Server is in booting
process. Please wait for minutes until
the Server beeps another time. The
installation of the Server is complete
right now.

Connection to DIGIEVER Failover Server
Please insert the product CD-ROM on a PC to install NVR Search. Finally, you
can start Quick Configuration on a web page.
Install NVR Search for finding Failover Server in the network.
Connect to the configured Failover Server, download and install NVR-
Client.exe
Install NVR Search
Please execute the product CD and click “Install NVR Search.”
Follow the instructions to install and the NVR Search will run automatically.

Connect to the Failover Server
1. Connect to DIGIEVER Failover Server
After setting the NVR Search and NVR Decoder, the user can connect to the
monitoring page by the following two options:
1) NVR Search
Once you click “Connect” or double click the selected Server list, the
IE browser will pop up automatically.
2) Web browser (IE, Edge, Chrome, Firefox, Opera)
Login to the system by entering its IP address in web browser.
Note: There are 2 methods to set network:
Obtain an IP address automatically (Failover Server Default)
Obtain an available dynamic IP address assigned by a DHCP
server. If this option is selected, the Failover Server will
automatically obtain an available dynamic IP address from the
DHCP server once it connects to the network.
Specify an IP address
If there is no DHCP server existing in network environments, the
static IP address will be given as 192.168.1.245. It should be
adaptable in most networking environment, and user can choose to
maintain the default IP address or change it in this page. However,
it’s recommended setting different IP address of the Failover Server
if there is more than one Failover Server in the same LAN.

2. Enter a user name and password
Log in the Failover Server with the default administrator account (user name:
admin, password: admin).
3. Download and install NVR-Client.exe, a software application, to execute
liveview monitoring and video playback.

Quick Configuration
After login, the system will direct you to set Quick Configuration in 5 steps.
Follow the instructions of the Overview of wizard to complete the system setup.
Once the five steps of Quick Configuration are complete, you can go
Management > Failover section in configuration page to configure Failover
settings. For further details of Quick Configuration, please refer to Failover
User Manual.
After adding NVR to Failover Server, you have successfully installed the
DIGIEVER Failover Server. Congratulations!

Note:
USB BACKUP will start and beep after 3 seconds user presses BACKUP button.
To turn off Failover Server, user needs to press power button at least 2 seconds.
