1. Overview
The Ethernet to Wi-Fi Adapter can be used to eliminate the use of an ethernet cable to connect to a network.
This type of device relies on DHCP relaying, which requires the use of a static IP on some networks.
2. Setup
2.1. IOGEAR GWU37
Refer to the IOGEAR GWU37 User Manual to configure the adapter using WPS or Windows.

2.2. DHCP –default setup
2.2.1. DTM-500
Apply power to the DTM-500, without connecting the ethernet cable.
Log into the OSD.
Select the Basic Info icon to display the default static IP address.
The default is typically 192.168.13.1.
Exit the Basic Info screen.
Connect the DTM-500 to the IOGEAR ethernet to Wi-Fi adapter.
Allow 1-2 minutes for the network to assign an IP address.
Select the Basic Info icon to confirm the network has assigned an IP address.
Note the IP address, this will be used with the Web Portal and Guard Station.
In the event an IP address has not been assigned, a static IP address will be required.
2.2.2. DTM-600
Apply power to the DTM-600 without connecting the ethernet cable.
Note the IP address displayed at the bottom left hand corner of the OSD.
Connect the DTM-600 to the IOGEAR ethernet to Wi-Fi adapter.
Allow 1-2 minutes for the network to assign an IP address.
The IP address displayed at the bottom left hand corner of the OSD will have update from the default static IP.
Note the IP address, this will be used with the Web Portal and Guard Station.
In the event an IP address has not been assigned, a static IP address will be required.

2.3. Assigning a Static IP Address
2.3.1. DTM-500
Log into the OSD by pressing the display screen for approximately 3 seconds.
Enter the password (the default is admin) in the pop-up.
Select the Network Setting Icon
Set the IP Address, Subnet Mask, and Default Gateway.
Press Save to continue.
Press the back arrow at the top left to exit the Network Settings page.
Press the back arrow at the top left to exit the Activation Config.

Log into the OSD by pressing the display screen for approximately 3 seconds.
Enter the password (the default is admin) in the pop-up.
Select the Network Setting Icon
Set the IP Address, Subnet Mask, and Default Gateway.
Press Save to continue.
Press the back arrow at the top left to exit the Network Settings page.
Press the back arrow at the top left to exit the Activation Config.

3. Web Portal
From the web portal a number of settings can be configured.
Using Internet Explorer, type the IP address of the device into the URL.
At the prompt, type the username and password.

4. Guard Station
Guard Station can be utilized for Real-Time Monitoring (Temp only for the DTM-500), Live View (Temp only for the
DTM-500), Pass-Thru Records, and Entry/Exit Record Export (DTM-600 only).
Reference the Real-Time Monitoring Guide for additional details: 860-00337-00.
Launch Guard Station.
Log-In using the following credentials:
default user is admin
default password is 123456
Using Device Management add the device using the IP address.
Using Access Control you can access the Real-Time Monitoring, Pass-Thru Records, and Entry/Exit Records.
Using Live View you can display up to 64 network connected devices.

Note: with a static IP address, use of the Device Discovery Configuration may be required to detect the device.
Select the Device management Icon from the Guard Station home screen.
Select the Access Control Device option from the navigation pane on the left.
Select the Search Config button as shown below.

Select the IP Segment Option the Device Discovery Configuration pop-up.
Enter the static IP address of the device.
Select OK to continue.
The device should now be listed as an Online Device.
