This guide provides instructions for installing your SCSI expander and installing hard-
disk drives, SBBs, and CD-ROM drives.
Product Description
The BA362 is a two device modular desktop 8/16 BIT Storage SCSI expansion box.
This enclosure will allow a maximum of two 3.5-inch SBBs to be installed.
The physical dimensions of the enclosure are 7.0 inches (177.8 millimeters) wide by
12.67 inches (321.8 millimeters) long by 10.5 inches (266.7 millimeters) high.
The BA364 is a modular desktop 8/16 BIT Storage SCSI expansion box.. This
enclosure will allow the following device configurations to be installed and used
within the enclosure:
•(4) 8/16-bit SCSI devices (3.5-inch SBB) with a fixed 5.25-inch CD-ROM installed in
the top slot.
•(1) 8/16-bit SCSI device (3.5-inch SBB), (1) 5.25-inch SBB and a fixed 5.25-inch CD-
ROM installed in the top slot.
The physical dimensions of the enclosure are 7.0 inches (177.8 millimeters) wide by
12.67 inches (321.8 millimeters) long by 14.5 inches (368.3 millimeters) high.
Units may be vertically stacked using the optional vertical stacking kit (BA36X-AA).
Caution:
Stacking units other than the defined supported configurations could cause the
units to tip and fall over.

Configuration Rules for BA362/BA364 Enclosures
BA362/BA364 enclosures may be used standalone or vertically-stacked using the
optional vertical stacking kit (BA36X-AA) when installed on the desktop. This kit
contains the following items:
•C13/C14 SPT-2 power cord (17-04216-01/BC25Y-1G)
•One (1) 6-inch long SCSI-P cable assembly (17-04222-01/BC25Z-0F)
•Interlock cover (74-50239-01)
•Five (5) #10 PAN 0.375-inch screws (90-00062-38)
•Pedestal (74-46547-01)
•Pedestal retainer bracket (74-50578-01).
Caution:
Stacking units other than the defined supported configurations could cause the
units to tip and fall over.

Note: 50 position ribbon cable, (4) CDROM mounting screws, ferrite bead and
(2) 6-32 1/4" length screws are placed into a ploy bag and ship with the
unit.
Note: Ferrite bead shall be installed onto headphones for the CDROM near the
jack connector.
Note: Remove two existing 6-32 screws from internal top cover and install
(2) 6-32 1/4" length screws when installing RRD45-AA in the top slot
of the enclosure.
