This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to
Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interfer-
ence in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and,
if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio commu-
nications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this
equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turn-

Warranty
Digital Security Controls Ltd. warrants that for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase, the product shall be free
of defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and that in fulfillment of any breach of such warranty, Digital
Security Controls Ltd. shall, at its option, repair or replace the defective equipment upon return of the equipment to its
repair depot. This warranty applies only to defects in parts and workmanship and not to damage incurred in shipping or
handling, or damage due to causes beyond the control of Digital Security Controls Ltd. such as lightning, excessive volt-
age, mechanical shock, water damage, or damage arising out of abuse, alteration or improper application of the equip-
ment.
The foregoing warranty shall apply only to the original buyer, and is and shall be in lieu of any and all other warranties,
whether expressed or implied and of all other obligations or liabilities on the part of Digital Security Controls Ltd. Digital
Security Controls Ltd. neither assumes, nor authorizes any other person purporting to act on its behalf to modify or to
change this warranty, nor to assume for it any other warranty or liability concerning this product.
In no event shall Digital Security Controls Ltd. be liable for any direct, indirect or consequential damages, loss of antici-

4 Port Patch Panel
Installation Instructions
Introduction
The HS-DH400 4 Port Patch panel is intended to facilitate the interconnection of
Cat5e cabling in the DSC Concourse Home System. This module can be
installed in Concourse Home Systems cabinets (HS-CAB1000, HS-CAB3000 and
HS-CAB4000) using the supplied mounting hardware.

Contents of Package
Before installing this module, verify that the package contains the following:
• Qty (1)....HS-DH400 metal bracket
• Qty (1)....Hardware pack containing two ½” phillips flathead screws
• Qty (4)....Toolless RJ45 outlet jacks
• Qty (2)....Installation Instructions

Installation
1. Align and snap the toolless jacks in bracket.
2. Locate a suitable mounting location for the HS-DH400 Ethernet Hub inside
the cabinet. Note that the unit can be installed in various positions, the
toolless jacks may face the top or the bottom of the cabinet.
3. Align the two mounting pins with the holes in the back of the cabinet and
insert as per Figure 2.
4. Snap the module in place by pressing both sides towards the back of the
cabinet.
5. Secure the metal bracket to the cabinet using the two screws.
6. With the plate in position cut the CAT 5 cable to the appropriate length.
7. Follow the instructions for the ‘Toolless Outlet Jack’ for correct installation.

Important
The following requirements for installation of CAT5 cable must be met for
proper operation of connected equipment.
•DoNOT strip off cable sheathing more than required for proper
termination.
•DoNOT kink or knot cable.
•DoNOT crush cable with cable ties.
•DoNOT splice cable.
•DoNOT bend cable at right angles or make any other sharp bends. All
cable bends must have a minimum of a 2" radius.
•DoNOT untwist CAT5 pairs more than ½”
