1.0 IMPORTANT SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
Please read these instructions carefully before
installing and using the product. Please retain
these instructions for future reference.
1. Use only the supplied USB Type-C cable and
AC power adaptor. For sufficient brightness,
ensure an input power of no less than 5V/2A.
2. The LED light cannot be replaced. Please
do not dismantle or modify the device by
yourself as it will void the warranty.
3. Do not place or operate the product near
extreme heat sources, damp surroundings or
corrosive materials.
4. Do not operate the product with a damaged
power cord, after a malfunction has occurred
or if the product is damaged in any manner.
5. The product is not waterproof or designed
for rugged use.
6. Use only a dry cloth to clean and remove
dust.
7. The product may contain small parts. Please
keep young children away from the device.
8. Please follow local regulations when
disposing of or recycling the product and its
components.
9. If the product is not in use for prolonged
periods, please disconnect the power supply
and store it in a clean and dry place.

5.0 FUNCTIONS
INCREASE BRIGHTNESS
• Single tap to increase brightness.
• Long press to increase brightness continually.
DECREASE BRIGHTNESS
• Single tap to decrease brightness.
• Long press to decrease brightness continually.
VOLUME UP
• Single tap to increase volume.
• Long press to increase volume continually.
VOLUME DOWN
• Single tap to decrease volume.
• Long press to decrease volume continually.
SNOOZE
• When the device is off, single tap to turn on
the light and sound.
• When the light and sound is on, long press
for 2 seconds to turn off the device.
• When the alarm is on, single tap to snooze
and long press for 2 seconds to turn off the
alarm.
RESET
• Hold for 5 seconds to reset the light.
• Hold for 2 seconds to turn on/off
Bluetooth mode.

6.0 OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
STEP 1
Plug the USB Type-C cable into the product and
the power adaptor into a power outlet.
The product will enter pairing mode with the
indicator flashing in blue.
NOTE:
• If the indicator does not flash, please
refer to the Troubleshooting section for
assistance.
STEP 2
1. Search and download the Pixbee Smart Life
app from the Apple App or Google Play
store.
Scan the QR code below to download the
"Pixbee Smart Life" App, or visit the Apple
App Store or Google Play Store to search for
and download the App.

2. Turn on Bluetooth on your smart device
(smartphone or tablet).
3. Open the Pixbee Smart Life app and create
a new account or log in to your existing
account.
4. Select "+" or "Add Device" at the top right
corner and follow the prompts to add the
product to the app.
NOTE:
• Please allow access to Bluetooth and Wi-Fi
in the Pixbee Smart Life app.
• Ensure that the device is connected to a
secured 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network.

7.0 LIGHTING ADJUSTMENTS
1. PRODUCT SETTINGS
Click here to edit the product name, product
settings such as creating product group and
Tap-to-Run Automation.

2. LIGHT MODE ADJUSTMENT
Use this to adjust the light mode to On, Off or
Breathing.
3. LIGHT BRIGHTNESS ADJUSTMENT
Slide up and down to adjust the brightness from
1% to 100%. Adjust within the inner circle.
4. LIGHT COLOUR ADJUSTMENT
Select the light colour by touching the desired
colour variations within the outer circle.
Swipe horizontally to switch between Colour and
White mode.
5. SOUND EFFECTS SELECTION
Swipe up to choose the different sound effects.
Choose from 25 sound effects.
6. VOLUME ADJUSTMENT
Slide the Volume bar to set the desired volume.
7. PLAY/PAUSE
Short press to switch between Play and Pause
functions. For first use, select the sound effect
and then click on the Play button.

8.0 THEME SELECTION
THEME EDIT
There are 3 modes: Theme, My Favourite and
Music. The Theme mode is a preset mode and
cannot be edited.

RECOMMENDED THEMES
There are 8 recommended modes: Rainbow,
Deep Ocean, Beach, Meditation, Colourful,
Fireplace, Breath and Joy.
MY FAVOURITE/CUSTOM MODE
In this mode, you can add your own theme with
custom light colour, brightness, sound effects
and volume. Up to 8 custom themes can be
added.
MUSIC MODE
In this mode, your Pixbee illumi is able to sync its
light output with the ambient sound.

9.0 ALARM/ROUTINE SELECTION
ALARM/ROUTINE SETTING
Choose to add sleep routine or sunrise alarm.

SLEEP ROUTINE
Up to 4 sets of sleep routines can be added. The
routine can be edited for time, repeat day, label,
light colour, brightness, on/off sound effect,
type of sound effects, volume, sunset duration
and turn off time. Swipe to the left and click on
delete button to delete the routine setting.
SUNRISE ALARM
Up to 4 sets of alarms can be added. The alarm
can be edited for time, repeat day, label, light
colour, brightness, on/off sound effect, type of
sound effects, volume, snooze on/off, sunrise
duration and turn off time. Swipe to the left
and click on delete button to delete the alarm
setting.

10.0 APPLICATION SETTINGS
TIMER
The product can be set to delay the power
off time.

FOCUS MODE
The illumi comes with a focus mode that can
be adjusted for duration, label, light colour,
brightness, on/off sound effect, type of sound
effect, volume, round, break time, and remaining
time display.
TIME FORMAT
Switch between time formats. Off indicates a
12-hr time format while On indicates a 24-hr
clock time format. The default setting is a 12-hr
time format.
CLOCK BRIGHTNESS
The brightness of the clock display can be
adjusted from 0% to 100%.
TIME SETTING
You can choose to set the time automatically
with network time or manually.
CHILD LOCK
The device can be locked to prevent children
from tampering with its settings.

11.0 VOICE COMMANDS
Listed below are some of the more common
voice commands for use with the Pixbee illumi
(pronounced: ee-llu-mee) smart ambient light.
AMAZON ALEXA
Power
• "Alexa, turn on illumi."
• "Alexa, turn off illumi."
Brightness
• "Alexa, set/make the illumi to (1-100) percent."
• "Alexa, brighten illumi."
• "Alexa, dim illumi."
Colour
• "Alexa, set/make the illumi to (colour)."
• Colours include red, green, blue, orange, yellow, etc.
Sound Volume
• "Alexa, set the volume of the speaker to (1-100)."
GOOGLE ASSISTANT
Power
• "Hey Google, turn on illumi."
• "Hey Google, turn off illumi."
Brightness
• "Hey Google, set/make the illumi to (1-100) percent."
Colour
• "Hey Google, set/make the illumi to (colour)."
• Colours include red, green, blue, orange, yellow, etc.

12.0 TROUBLESHOOTING
PROBLEM POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS
Product cannot enter
into pairing mode?
Hold down the reset button for 5
seconds and wait for the indicator to
flash in blue. Then follow the steps
to add and pair the product.
Did not receive the
verification code?
1. Make sure you have entered the
correct email address during
registration.
2. Check whether the verification
code is in the Spam folder.
3. If there is still no verification code
after several attempts, Please
contact our Customer Service.
No or unstable
connection with the
Wi-Fi network?
1. Make sure the product is
connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi
network.
2. Make sure you have entered the
correct password.
3. Place the product within the
signal coverage of the router.
4. Avoid placing the product near
metal objects or windows, and
behind multiple walls that could
block the signal.
Cannot connect to
the app?
1. Make sure the product is
connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi
network.
2. Reset the product and re-install
the app. Then re-connect.
Failed to light up
after connection?
1. Make sure the product is
properly connected to the power
outlet.
2. Check that the product is turned
on.
Control buttons are
not responsive?
1. Operate the product only with
dry hands.
2. Disconnect the power adaptor to
restart the product.

13.0 WARRANTY TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot
be excluded under the Australian Consumer
Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund
for a major failure and for compensation for any
other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
You are also entitled to have the goods repaired
or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable
quality and the failure does not amount to a
major failure.
This warranty is provided in addition to your
rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Directed Electronics Australia Pty Ltd (Directed
Electronics) warrants that this product is free
from defects in material and workmanship for a
period of 12 months from the date of purchase
or for the period stated on the packaging.
This warranty is only valid where you have
used the product in accordance with any
recommendations or instructions provided by
Directed Electronics.
This warranty excludes defects resulting from
alterations of the product, accident, misuse,
abuse or neglect. In order to claim the warranty,
you must return the product to the retailer from
which it was purchased or if that retailer is part
of a national network, a store within that chain,
along with satisfactory proof of purchase. The
retailer will then return the goods to Directed
Electronics.
