HOW TO ASSEMBLE TOOL REQUIRED: PHILLIPS SCREWDRIVER
HandleAssembly:
1, Rotatehandlebaseto the uprightposition.
WARNING: BEFOREASSEMBLINGTHEBODYOFTHECLEANERTOBASE,MAKESUREPOWERCORDISDOWNANDOUTOFTHEWAYTOAVOIDPINCHINGCORD,
2. With cordhookto back,piecethe body of theoleaserontebase.Pushtogetherfirmly. Insertlongersorew(1V,')into back of bedyofthe cJeanertosecure, (Diagram1).
3. Placehandleontothe bodyof the cleaner,(Diagram2),
4. Insert clipontool caddyinto hole onbackof handle,(Diagram3), Bring tool caddydownto fit againsthandle.Insertshorterscrew (1"}to securecaddyandhandlesections,
Insertsecondshorter ecrewjust abovecordrelease(Diagram4).

HOW TO OPERATE: WARmNG:FULLYASSEMBLEBEFOREOPERATING.
1. Quick CordRelease: To releaseyourcordwithoutunwindingit turn the top cord hookto the left or right. Yourpower cord will nowpull off in onecoil,(Diagram1),
2. Keepthe cordout ofthe way while you vacuumbysnappingit into the cordguideonthe back ofthe handle, (Diagram2).

4. Step onthe power switch to turn onthe cleaner. Switch isgreyandlocatedon the baseofthe unit. (]) isthe internationalsymbol for power.
FLOOR/CARPETCLEANING:
5. Releasethe handle.With your foot, depressthehandle releasepedalon theleft sideof thebase, (Diagram3).
6. Movethe handleandadjustit to thedesiredposition for (a) storing the upright, (b) operating the cleaner,and (e)depressthehandlereleasepedal againto cleanunderlow
furniture, (Diagram4).
ABOVEFLOORCLEANING:Cleanermust bein the locked upright position to lift the rotating brush off thecarpet whencleaningabovethefloor.
Turncleaner OFFbeforeattachingor removinghose.
1, Snapcleanerintoits uprightposition.
2. Lift door on the nozzleand inserthoseendwith nozzleconnectoruntil lockedinposition,(Diagram5).
3. Pullthehose handlefrom sideof cleaner.
CAUTION:Brushagitator continuesto rotate whilehoseisremovedorin useandat all limes while cleanerison. Keephair, looseclothing,fingers,andall portsofbody
awayfrom brusharea while cleaner is on.
4, Chooseanyof the handyaccessoriesor usethe hosealone. Simplypushthe attachmentfirmly onto the endof thewandor hose handle.
To removehosefrom nozzle,press latchon nozzleconnectorandpuffup,(Diagram6).
NOTE:Removehosefrom nozzlewhencleaningcarpers toinsure propercleaningperformance,
CAUTION:Revolvingbrushcontinuestorotate while cleanerhandle is in uprightposition.Avoidtippingcleaner orsettingonfurniture,fringedarea tugs, orcarpeted
stairs duringtool use.

SCENT TABLETS (OPTIONAL):Asyou vacuum,air freshenertabletsleaveyour home smelling cleanand freshwhilestaleodorsdisappear. Thetabletsarenon-toxic
andformulated to lastthe lifeof the disposablepaperbag. TO USE,removean airfreshenertablet from thewrapperandplaceitdirectlyintothe disposablepaperbag. Add a
newtablet everytime you changeyour paperbag.

1. To Remove:Squeezefront panelreleaseleverandpulltowards you (Diagram1).
2. Graspcardboardcollarof paperbagwith bethhandsandpull pastraisedlockingtabs onthe dirttube. Disposeof oldpaperbag,(Diagram2).
3. IMPORrrANT:Extendbegawayfrom holebeforeinstalling.Pressin openingto clearpaperaway from hole, (Diagram3).
4. To Install: Pushcardboardcollarpastraised locking tabs on the dirt tubewith bothbands. Besure paperbag isfully extendedand tuckedin at the top andbottom,
(Diagram4).
5. Replacefront panelbyputtingthe twobottom tabs intheslots onthe vacuum.Pushfront panelso releaseleverat_chee,(Diagram5).

BELT OR BRUSHROLL REMOVAL AND REPLACEMENT:
TOOL REQUIRED: PHILLIPS SCREWDRIVER
NOTE:Unplug cleaner before changing be# or brushroll. Turncleanerover. Baseshouldlayfiatandface up. Screwdriverrequired. Toremove
nozzleguard, removetwo screws nearrollers. Next,releasetwo hooks onnozzleguardby pushing outward asshown by the arrows,(Diagram1).
Gentlypush up on rear of nozzleguard. (NOTE:Some models mayalsohavetwo screwsat therear of the nozzleguard).
TOREMOVEBELT:Be surebelt is off motor shaft. Liftandremovebrushroll. Disposeof old belt, (Diagram2).
TOREPLACEBELT:
1. Slip bruehroll through belt. Placebelt inareaof brushrollwithoutbristles, (Diagram3).
2. Loop belt aroundmot(x shaft, (Diagram4).
3. Insertbrushroll intosideholder#1 andthen#2. Followdirectionof a_rowson brushendcape+(Diagram5a,). Rotatebrushrollto makesurebeltisnot twisted,(Diagram5).
4. Replacenozzleguard. Matchthefronttabs to theslotson thenozzlebasefirst. Swingdownto snaphooks, Pressfirmlyon entire nozzleguardto fit intoplace.Replaceeli
screws, (DiagramB).
IMPORTANT:Rotatebrushroll by hand beforestarting cleaner.
HOWTOCHECKFORA CLOG: Ifthere is nosuction at theend ofthe hose,a dog maybeinthe baseofthe unit.To clearclog: 1. Removehosefrom
the nozzle.Presslatchon nozzleconnectorandpullup. Lift dooronthe nozzleendgentlyclearthe blockage,(Diagram7) or 2. Removenozzle
