•Donotremovethe rearcoverashigh voltage componentsareaccessible.
•Disconnectthe LCD TVfromthe powersupplywhen the LCDTVisnottobe used fora
prolonged period oftime.
Installation
LOCATEthe receiverinthe roomwheredirectlightdoesnotstrikethe screen.Totaldarkness
orareflection on the picturescreen can causeeyestrain.Soft and indirectlighting is
recommended forcomfortableviewing.
ALLOWenough spacebetween the receiverand the wall topermitproperventilation.
AVOIDexcessivewarmlocationstopreventpossibledamage tothe cabinetorcomponent
failure.
Connection
ThisLCD TVreceivercan be connected toAC:220-240V~50Hz.
Cleaning
•Disconnectthe LCDTVfromthe powersupplybeforeyou clean it.
•Donotuseliquidoraerosolcleaners.
•Clean yourLCDTVwithasoft, damp(notwet)cloth.
Ventilation

plate.ThisLCD TVrequiresAC220-240V~50Hzmainssupply.Donotuseanyothersupply.
ThisLCD TVmaybe fitted withanon-rewireableplug.If you need tochange the fuseinanon-
rewireableplug,the fusecovermustbe refitted.If the fusecoverislostordamaged,the plug
mustnotbe used until areplacementisobtained.
Important
Asthe coloursofthe wiresinthe mainslead ofthisLCD TVmaynotcorrespond withthe
coloured markingsidentifying the terminalsinyourplug,proceed asfollows:
•The blue wiremustbe connected tothe
terminalmarked withthe letterNor
coloured black.
•The brownwiremustbe connected to
the terminalmarked withthe letterLor
coloured red.
•Noconnection istobe made
tothe earthterminalofthe plug.
If a13 Amp(BS1363/A)plug isused,a3Ampfuse(BS1362)mustbe fitted,orifanyothertype

Switching On
MainsPower
Plug the mainsplug intoamainssockettoswitchon the mainpowerswitch(located on the
rearcabinet)then the red powerindicatorwill lightup.
Press the STANDBYorCHANNELUP/DOWNbutton on the unitorremotecontroltoturnON
the TV.
Toswitchthe unittostandby,press the STANDBYbutton on the unitorremotecontrol,then
the red powerindicatorwill lightup.
AutomaticSwitchtoStandby
Inthe absenceofapicturesignal,the LCD TVwill automaticallyswitchtostandbyafter
approximately10 minutes.
NOTE:When notinuseforlong periods,disconnectfrom
the mainspowersupply,orswitchOFF the mainpowerswitch.
Inserting RemoteControlBatteries
Onthe back ofthe remotecontrol,Loosen the screwtoopen the batterycompartmentcover.
InserttwoAAA batteries,ensuring thatyou followthe polaritydiagraminside the battery
compartment.
Screwthe batterycompartmentcoveron the batterycompartment.
BatteryDisposal
Pleaseensurebatteriesaredisposed ofsafely.Neverdisposeofbatteriesinthe fireorwith
householdwaste.Check withyourlocalauthorityfordisposalregulations.
The batteries(batterypack orbatteriesinstalled)shall notbe exposed toexcessiveheatsuch
assunshine,fireorthe like.
CAUTION
•Donotattempttorecharge,short-circuit, disassemble,heatorthrowthe batteriesintothe
fire.
•Placing withwrong ormixed polaritiesbatterieswill resultindamage tothe batteriesand
/ormayresultinamalfunction ofthe unit.

•Press the MENU button andpress the "+/-"button toselectthe TUNE,then press the " "
button toentertothe Menu.
•Press the "+/-"button toselectAutoInstall.

Aerial
Plug the externalaeriallead (notsupplied)intothe aerialsocketatthe rearofthe TV.
Menu Controls
Navigation around the menusiscarried outusing the following buttonson the remotecontrol:
•The "+/-"buttonstomoveup and downthe menu options.
•The "/"buttonstochange menu options.
•Press the MENU button toinitiallyselectthe pictureMENU and then togo toeitheraprevious
menu orexit.
Tuning
NOTE:The automatictuning process storesthe channelsinthe orderthat
theyarefound inthe frequency band.If you wishtohavethe channelsin
aspecificordersuchaschannel1BBC1,channel2BBC2,channel3
ITV1etc,refertoExchange on page19 orselectManualTuning.
NOTE:If no button ispressed forapproximately10 seconds,the menus
will automaticallytimeout.
NOTE:Forthe purposesoftuning,the wordPROGRAMreferstothe
CHANNELnumberselected on the TV.

FineTune
Although the automaticand manualsearcheswill attempttotune tothe bestreception,inareas
ofpoorreception somefine tuning maybe required.
Tofine tune:
•Press the MENU button and press the "+/-"button toselectthe TUNE,then press the
" " toentertothe Menu.
•Press the "+/-"button toselectManualInstall,then press the " " button tomanual
install menu.
•Press the "+/-"button toselectFineTune.
•Press eitherthe "/"button tosearchup ordownthe waveband togetthe bestpicture.
•Press the "+/-"button toselectManualInstall,then press the " " button toenterto
ManualInstall menu.
•Press the "+/-"button toselectBand.
then press the "/"button toselectVHF-L,VHF-H,UHF.
•Press the "+/-"button toselectManualSearch,then press the "/"button tostart
the Channelsearch.
•The searchprocess will be shownon the screen.When astation isfound,the searchwill
stop and the station will be displayed and stored underthe selected Programnumber.If you
do notwantthisstation stored underthisProgramnumber,press the " " button againto
continue the search.
•If you wantthisstation stored underthisProgramnumbertopress MENU button the station
will stored automatically.
•You can then repeatthe manualtuning process until all the stationsyou wantarestored.
•Press the MENU button tostop ManualSearchprocess.
AutomaticTuning
•Press the MENU button andpress the "+/-"button toselectthe TUNE,then press the " "
button toentertothe Menu.
•Press the "+/-"button toselectAutoInstall.
•Press the " " button tocommencethe AutoInstall.

Television Controls
ChannelSelection
You can usethe controlson eitherthe LCDTVorremotecontroltoselectchannels.
•Usethe "+"button toincreasethe channelnumberand the "-"button todecreasethe
channelnumber.
The channelnumberwill be brieflydisplayed inthe top rightcornerofthe screen.
•You can alsousethe numericbuttonson the remotecontroltoselectachannelnumber
directly.
•Toselectachannelnumberthatisgreaterthan 9,press the “-/--”button firstthen the two
numericbuttons.Forexample,toselectchannelnumber12,press the “-/--”button followed
by1then 2.
Swap
Toswap between the channelyou arewatching and the previouschannelyou watched,press the
SWAPbutton.
Display
Toshowwhichchannelyou arewatching,press the DISPLAYbutton.
The channelnumberwill be displayed on the screen.
VolumeControl
•You can usethe " " and " " buttonstoadjustthe volume.
•Asound levelbarand numericvolumelevelwill appearon the screen and remainforacouple
ofsecondsafteryou adjustthe volume.
Mute
•Tomutethe sound,press the “”button.The “”symbolwill be displayed and remain
displayed.
•Torestorethe sound,press the “”button again.The Mutesymbolwill disappear..
Channelswap
You can change the channelnumberunderwhichachannelisstored byswapping itwithanother
station.Forexample,ifyou haveBBC1on Channel3and ITV1on Channel1you can swap them
oversothatBBC1ison Channel1and ITV1ison Channel3.
Toexchange:
•Press the MENU button and press the "+/-"button toselectthe TUNE,then press the
" " toentertothe Menu.
•Press the "+/-"button toselectProgramSwap.
•Press the " " button intoprogramswap menu and press the " " button one moretime
then the SwapFromwill be highlighted.Usethe numericbuttonstoenterthe firstprogram
numberyou wanttoexchange.
•Press the "-"button tohighlightSwapToo.Usethe numericbuttonstoenterthe second
channelnumberyou wanttoexchange.
•Press the "-"button tohighlightPerformSwapand press the " " button tomakethe
exchange.The twochannelnumberson the screen will swap places.
•Press the MENU button toexit.
Skipping Channels
If the tuning process hasstored somechannelsthatyou do notuse,thesecan be skipped sothat
theydo notappearwhen you usethe programup and downbuttons.The onlywaytoviewa
skipped channelistousethe numericbuttonstoselectthe channelnumber.
•Press the MENU button andpress the "+/-"buttontoselectthe TUNE,thenpress the " "
toentertothe Menu.
•Press the "+/-"button toselectProgram.then press "/"button toselectthe desire
ProgramNo.whichyou wanttoSkip.
•Press the "+/-"button toselectSkip.
•Press the "/"button toselectOn.
•Press the MENU button toexit, the channelisskipped .
Torestoreaskipped channel:
•InnormalTVviewing mode tousethe numericbuttonstoselectthe desireSkipped Channels.
•Press the MENU button and press "+/-"button toselectthe TUNE,then press the " "
toenterthe menu.
•Press the "+/-"button toselectSkip.
•Press the "/"button toselectOff.
•Press the MENU button toexit, the channelisskipoff .

Inthe picturemenu,you can adjustthe following parameterstoyourownpreference.
Brightness
Contrast
Hue
Colour
Sharpness
Tochange anyofthese:
•Press the MENU button and press the "+/-"button toselectthe PICTURE,then press the
" " button toentertothe menu.
•Press the"+/-"button toselectthe parameteryou wanttochange.
•Press the "/"button tomakethe change.
•Press the MENU button toexit.
NOTE:When using SCARTRGBorPCVGAinput, Colourand sharpness
settingsarenotavailable.

The picturehasfiveparameters:brightness,contrast, Colour,sharpness and hue.The TVhas
three presetgroupsofsettingsfortheseparametersand one foryourpersonalpreferences.
The Personaloption istoindividuallysetthe fourparameters.
The presetsettingsare:
•User
•Standard
•Mild
•Dynamic
Tochange the presetsettings,usethe “PREF”button.
Sleep
Press the SLEEP button toselectapredetermined timewhen the LCD TVwill turnoff. The time
can be setin15 minutestepsfrom0minutesto240 minutesbyrepeatedlypressing the SLEEP
button.
•Toconfirmthe sleep timesetting,press the SLEEP button onceand the remaining timewill
be displayed.
•Tocancelthe sleep time,press the SLEEP button repeatedlyuntil the displayshows0
minutes.
Input
Press the INPUTbutton toselectTV,AV1(SCART),AV2,S-VIDEOand PC.
