INSTRUCTIONS:
CAUTION: All lubricants used in the maintenance of Dry Disconnects must be
compatible with the seal material used and also with the commodity being
transferred through these fittings.
CAUTION: Never rotate the LEVER to the open position while the coupler is under
pressure and not coupled to a Dry Disconnect Adapter. This action can cause the
LEVER to rapidly rotate and cause injury.
A. With the coupler not connected to the adapter, open the coupler and allow the
seal cylinder to move out of the coupler. It may be necessary to use some spray
lubricant to break the seal cylinder free.
B. With a shop rag, wipe clean any old grease and dirt from the outside of the seal
cylinder.
C. Apply grease made by “Super Lube part number 41160 by Synco Chemical Corp
if available or spray a white lithium grease around the seal cylinder. Use a small
amount of grease (just enough to wet the outside of the seal cylinder).
D. Actuate the handle several times from the open position to the closed position to
verify the seal cylinder and poppet move freely.
E. Close the coupler and return to service.

F. Service the coupler monthly.

Waste Disposal
"Kalrez" perfluoroelastomer semi finished parts and shapes
generally may be disposed of by landfill or incineration,
but any disposal method selected must be in accordance with
applicable federal, state/provincial and local regulations.
If incineration is employed, the incinerator must be capable
of scrubbing out acidic combustion products. Note:
Semi finished parts and shapes made from compounds 1058 and
3065 contain lead oxide and particular requirements may
apply (see, e.g., 40 C.F.R. 261.24). A waste generator
should perform a waste characterization before disposing and
manage and dispose in accordance with all potentially
applicable laws and regulations including the Resource
Conservation and Recovery Act.
