EINLEITUNG
Dieses Dokument ist der Steuereinheit sowie allen Ein-/Ausgangsmodulen des Sicher-
heitssystems SAFEMASTER PRO beigefügt. Das Sicherheitssystem besteht immer
aus einer Steuereinheit (Master), an die sich bis zu 14 elektronische Ein-/Ausgangs-
module (Input /Output Module) anschließen lassen, jedoch nicht mehr als 4 desselben
Typs. Die elektromechanischen „Ausgangsmodule Relais UG6912.14 und UG6912.28
“ hingegen sind ohne zahlenmäßige Beschränkung an das System anschließbar.
MECHANISCHE BEFESTIGUNG
Die Module des Sicherheitssystems SAFEMASTER PRO werden auf einer 35 mm
DIN-Schiene wie folgt befestigt:
1. Den IN-RAIL-Bus, in die 35mm Hutschiene klemmen.
2. Dann die Module auf die Hutschiene schnappen und dabei darauf achten, dass die
Kontaktvorrichtung auf dem Boden des Moduls auf die Leiterbahnen des IN-RAIL-
Busses trifft. Das Modul vorsichtig einsetzen, bis das Einrasten zu spüren ist.
3. Um das Modul zu entfernen, muss (unter Verwendung eines Schraubendrehers) der
Schieber auf der Rückseite des Moduls nach unten gezogen und dann das Modul
von unten angehoben und nach oben gezogen werden.
Die Module des Sicherheitsystems SAFEMASTER PRO sind mit abnehmbaren Klem-
men für die elektrischen Anschlüsse versehen. Jedes Modul kann 8, 16 oder 24 Klem-
men aufweisen.
INTRODUCTION
This document is attached to the control unit as well as to all I/O modu-
les of the SAFEMASTER PRO system. The safety system includes always a
control unit and can be extended by up to 14 I/O modules but not more the 4 of the
same type.The number of relay contact extension modules UG6912.14 and UG6912.28
is unlimited in the system.
MECHANICAL FASTENING
Fix the SAFEMASTER PRO system units to a 35 mm DIN
rail as follows:
1. Fix the IN-RAIL-BUS to the DIN 35mm (EN 5022) rail.
2. Fasten the units to the rail, arranging the contacts on the
base of the IN-RAIL-BUS. Press the unit gently until you
feel it snap into place.
3. To remove a unit, use a screwdriver to pull down the
locking latch on the back of the unit; then lift the unit
upwards and pull.
The SAFEMASTER PRO system units are provided with removable terminal
blocks for the electrical connections. Each unit can have 8, 16 or 24 terminals.

Ce document est joint à l‘unité de contrôle et à tous les modules d‘entrées / sorties
du système SAFEMASTER PRO. Le système de sécurité SAFEMASTER PRO est
toujours composé d‘une unité de contrôle et peut être étendu jusqu‘à 14 modules
d‘extension électroniques d‘entrées et de sorties, toutefois avec un maximum de 4
modules identiques. Les modules d‘extension relais UG6912.14 et UG6912.28 ne sont
pas assujettis à celle limite de quantité.
FIXATION MECANIQUE
Les modules du système SAFEMASTER PRO se fixent sur rail DIN 35 mm de la façon
suivante:
1. Installer le bus de connexion „IN-RAIL-BUS“ dans le rail DIN 35mm.
2. Fixer ensuite les modules sur le rail en faisant attention à ce que le
connecteur touche bien le bus de connexion „IN-RAIL-BUS“.
Appuyer délicatement sur le module jusqu’à sentir le déclic de blocage.
3. Pour enlever un module, tirer vers le bas (à l’aide d’un tournevis) le crochet d’arrêt
situé à l’arrière du module; puis soulever le module par le bas.
Les modules du système SAFEMASTER PRO sont munis de borniers amovibles pour
les raccordements électriques. Chaque module peut avoir 8, 16 ou 24 bornes.

Cables used for connections must be AWG 26 - AWG 14. Cables used for connec-
tions of longer than 50 m must have a cross-section of at least 1 mm2(AWG 16).
We recommend the use of separate power supplies for the safety module and for
other electrical power equipment (electric motors, inverters, frequency conver-
ters) or other sources of disturbance.

anderer Störquellen getrennt zu halten.

Il est conseillé de séparer l’alimentation du module de sécurité de celle des autres
équipements électriques de puissance (moteurs électriques, inverseurs, varia-
teurs de fréquence) et autres sources d‘interférence.
