INTRODUCTION
PURPOSE OF THE MANUAL
This manual contains the use and maintenance rules required for using correctly the JET
FRAME and SPIN FRANE cutting centres.
This instruction manual has been drawn up in accordance with the indications provided for
by the relevant directive in force, in order to ensure that the operators authorised to use and
maintain the machine correctly understand the topics covered in the manual.
If, despite the attention paid during the drafting phase, the above-mentioned operators find
that the contents of this manual are not completely clear, they are invited to ask the
manufacturer for explanations in order to avoid situations that could compromise their safety.
Failure to observe what is described in this manual or improper use of the machine will
relieve the Manufacturer from any injury caused to persons or animals.
DONATONI MACCHINE SRL is in any case available to ensure prompt and accurate
technical assistance for the best operation and maximum machine performance.
The Manufacturer reserves the right to make changes to this publication and the data
contained in it, at its own discretion, if it deems it necessary for the technical or commercial

INFORMATION ON TECHNICAL SUPPORT
In case of necessity, or when clarifications are required, customers can contact the
technical/commercial support service of the local agents or importers, who are always in
direct contact with the manufacturer.
In most cases, many of the technical problems can be solved by small operations and
therefore we recommend reading this manual carefully before calling the Support service.

In the case of faults or malfunctions that cannot be corrected, the user can contact the
manufacturer directly or the branch office of the dealer where the machine was purchased.
WARRANTY
A check should be carried out when the machine is delivered to ensure that none of the
machine components have been damaged and that all the accessories are complete and
intact.
The purchaser can only avail of the warranty rights after complying with the warranty
conditions set out in the supply contract.
In addition to the cases envisaged in the supply contract, the warranty should be deemed
void:
•in the event of an operating error attributable to the operator
•in the event of damage attributable to insufficient maintenance
•if, without the Manufacturer's authorization, the user removes or repairs components
and/or parts of the machine or installs non-original spare parts and the damage is
attributable to such changes
•if the instructions provided in this manual have not been carried out

SAFETY
INTRODUCTION
The manual and all the annexes should be kept in a place which is accessible and known
to all the personnel trained and authorized to use the machine.
To improve the understanding of this manual, the terms used are explained below:
DANGER AREA
An area inside and/or in the vicinity of the machine in which the presence of an
exposed person constitutes a risk for safety and the health of the person
him/herself FIG. 4.
EXPOSED PERSON
Any person found entirely or partly in a danger area.
OPERATOR IN CHARGE
A professionally trained operator, in compliance with the legislation in force in
the country of use, who has been authorised only to switch on, use, switch off
and clean the machine (only when it is switched off and with emergency
mushrooms pressed) in compliance with the instructions given in the
instruction manual of each machine, wearing the required PPE and working
from one of the work stations described in FIG. 4
HANDLING OPERATOR
A professionally trained operator, in compliance with the legislation in force in
the country of use, who is qualified to drive forklifts, overhead cranes orcranes,
to safely transport and handle the machines making up the line, wearing the
required PPE.
MECHANICAL / PNEUMATIC / HYDRAULIC MAINTAINANCE OPERATOR
A qualified technician who is authorised to intervene on mechanical /
hydraulic / pneumatic components in order to carry out adjustments,
maintenance operations and/or repairs in total compliance with the
instructions given in the use and maintenance manuals of the machines
making up the line or other indications provided exclusively by the
manufacturer.

ELECTRICAL MAINTENANCE OPERATOR
A qualified technician (having all the professional technical requirements
according to the regulations in force), who is authorized to intervene on
electrical devices to carry out adjustments, maintenance operations and/or
repairs even in the presence of electrical voltage and with the safety devices
disabled (with the consent of the Person Responsible) in absolute compliance
with the instructions given in the user and maintenance manuals of the
machines that make up the line.
PERSON RESPONSIBLE
A person who supervises the work activity and ensures the implementation of
the directives received, checking the correct execution by the workers and
exercising a functional power of initiative.
MANUFACTURER'S TECHNICIAN
A qualified technician, made available by the manufacturer and/or authorized
dealer, to carry out the required technical assistance, ordinary and
extraordinary maintenance, and/or operations not listed in the following manual
which require specific knowledge of the machine; this technician must wear the
required PPE.
Particular attention should be paid to the danger signs where indicated in this manual and
the safety specifications must be observed
There are 3 levels of danger signals:
DANGER:
This signal warns that if the instructions provided in the manual are not observed
correctly, serious injury, death or the risk of long-term illnesses may result.
ATTENTION:
This signal warns that serious injury may result if the operations described are not
carried out correctly. It also recommends that the procedures indicated be carried
out correctly.
WARNING:
This signal warns that serious damage may be caused to the machine if the
operations described are not carried out correctly.
ATTENTION: the warnings alone do not eliminate the danger.

GENERAL PRECAUTIONS
The personnel using the machine must be trained:
•by the manufacturer, or
•by one of its authorised installers, or
•by other internal personnel that have been previously trained for
the task to be carried out.
DANGER: The instructions, warnings and general accident prevention rules
contained in this manual must be fully complied with as failure to comply with them
may cause injury to the operator or other persons.
DANGER: It is absolutely forbidden for any person who has not completely read,
understood and assimilated the contents of this manual perfectly to operate the
machine or have it operated as this could cause injury to the operator himself or to
other persons.
DANGER: When using the machine with an automatic or semi-automatic work
cycle, all personnel must be outside the danger area of the machine.
There are also some pictograms on the machine indicating the residual risks present; they
must be taken into account by anyone preparing to use the machine and any related
equipment.
WARNING: the safety, indication and hazard pictograms must be checked and
maintained in a perfect condition to ensure that they are visible to anyone preparing
to use the machine. This is because they give immediate indication of any residual
risks to which the operator is exposed.
The manual and all the attached documents should be kept in a place which is accessible
and known to all the personnel who use the machine (operators and maintenance
operators).
It is the purchaser's responsibility to train the personnel on the risks of accidents, on the
devices aimed at guaranteeing workers' safety, on the risks deriving from noise emissions
and on the general accident prevention rules provided for by international standards and/or
directives and by the laws in force in the country of use.
The behaviour of the personnel working on the machine for use, maintenance, cleaning,
inspection, etc. must strictly observe and comply with the accident prevention regulations in
force in the country of use.
Before working on the machine, the operator and/or maintenance technician must be fully
aware of the position and operation of all the controls and characteristics of the machine;
he/she must have fully read, understood and assimilated the contents of this manual.
Any tampering, the unauthorized replacement of one or more parts of the machine, the use
of accessories, tools, consumables other than those recommended or having different

characteristics from those recommended in this manual, as well as the use of the machine
for purposes other than those allowed, release DONATONI MACCHINE SRL from any civil
and criminal liability.
The machine is not suitable for use in explosive or flammable atmospheres.
The machine is not suitable for use in open or outdoor places.
It is absolutely forbidden to climb the machine or access it using passages other than the
designated access points. The designated access points to the machine must always be
kept clear and clean.
The working areas (control panel area, loading and unloading area) must be constantly
maintained in good order and clean.
The operator must avoid any operation that could endanger the safety of himself or others.
It is necessary to respect the safety instructions on the machine and in the manual, not to
render the installed or envisaged safety devices inefficient and to use the machine in
accordance with the envisaged use and as indicated by the manufacturer (risk of death
or long-term illnesses).
Failure to observe the work procedures, operating modes and maintenance procedures, as
well as improper use of the machine can give rise to the risk of injury for the operator and
any other persons in the vicinity.
When seeking causes of breakdown or failure regarding the machine, take all the
precautions described in this manual which are effective for preventing damage to persons,
animals, or property.
Never put work tools, objects, your hands, arms, or any part of the body, near the moving
elements.
Do not place any type of container containing liquids near live parts of the machine.
Ordinary or extraordinary maintenance operations (electrical, mechanical or of any other
kind) must be carried out with the machine switched off, without electrical, hydraulic and
pneumatic power supply, and with the emergency stop button pressed by personnel trained
and competent in the task that will be carried out on the machine.
After having disconnected the power supply, wait at least 10 minutes before accessing the
machine's electrical panel, so as to allow the residual electrical energy stored in the inverter
capacitors to be discharged.
Before carrying out maintenance work on hydraulic and pneumatic systems, make sure that
the residual pressure has been discharged from these systems.
At the end of any extraordinary intervention that has required the removal of safety guards,
barriers or other safety devices, reposition them correctly so as to properly restore all the
safety physical barriers.
