Doremi JNIOR 310 Instructions for use

Install and setup JNIOR 310
Time required 10 to 15 minutes
Power up the unit
• Connect 8-to-30v AC/DC (left/green LED is power ON)
• When unit is powered up the right LED (orange) will show
that it is booting. This is an activity led.
Set the IP address with one of two methods:
• Standard serial RS232 Male
– 115200 8N1 no flow control
– The serial cable for the JNIOR is a straight-through
wired DB-9 Male to DB-9 Female
• RJ45 Ethernet cross over cable
– Ensure the PC you are using to set the IP address, is
in the same range as the JNIOR default IP address of
10.0.0.201
To set the IP address using RS232 and HyperTerminal and
type ipconfig <enter>
To set the IP address using Cross Ethernet and Telnet and
type registry <enter>
Login for both sessions: Login = jnior / password = jnior
Follow the on-screen instructions to setting the IP address.
Please consult the JNIOR “Getting Started Manual” for
more details on setting the IP address.
Start a Telnet session:
• Login = jnior
• Password = jnior
• Type: “registry” to enter
the set up mode.
Start a HyperTerminal
session:
•Login = jnior
•Password = jnior
•Type: “ipconfig”to
enter the set up mode.
•NOTE:AftersettingtheIPaddresstobeintherangeoftheDCP2000,youmustrebootJNIORto
confirmthenewIPaddresshasbeenimplemented.Toreboot,unplugthepower,wait5sec,
reconnectthepower
• The JNIOR ships with the default IP address of 10.0.0.201
• Ensure the DCP2000 is running software version 0.5.2-22SP1

Setup DCP2000 for JNIOR 310
GPO outputs
Register the jnior device on the dcp2000
1) Menu / Doremi Labs, Inc / Device Manager
2) Add a new device: select JNIOR
3) Set the IP address
4) Set username & password field to jnior
5) Check the configuration and save
6) Confirm the admin password, (default= 1234)
7) Reboot the DCP2000
Configure the GPO actions related to JNIOR
9) Run the Macro Editor
10) Create a new macro, press
11) To attach an action to the new macro
12) Select “Insert new Action”
13) Select 'Library' to browse existing actions
14) Select “jnior” from the list to the left list
15) Select the action from the right list, & OK
16) “Select a device” from the drop down box
17) Select “jnior” & click OK
18) Check and save (default password = 1234)
Test your set up:
Menu / Doremi Labs, Inc / Macro Execution
Select one of the macro’s you have created and
execute it. Watch the JNIOR, you will see the
orange activity led flash and the red output led
react accordingly.

Configure the GPI actions related to jnior
1) In the Macro Editor select "Trigger Cue" tab at
the bottom.
2) Create a new cue, click on the
3) Name the macro & OK
4) Click “Connect to an Event”
5) Select “Signal”
6) Leave “Any” in the “Source device name”
7) Click to open the library of actions
8) Select “jnior” from the left, then the required
action “e.g. DIN4_ON” & OK
9) Confirm “Any” and the “Signal name” is correct
10) Click “Save” (default password is 1234)
Check the DCP2000 is register to the JNIOR
b) Open a terminal session Menu/system/Terminal
c) Check the log files /doremi/log/drmjniord.log
Type: tail /doremi/log/drmjniod.log <enter>
d) If device is properly registered, you will get an
entry as indicate below
e) Or generate a details log file and view
drmjniord.log
Test cues with content playback!
1) Start cinelister“Menu->Doremi Labs Inc-Cinelister”
2) Create a new show
2) Insert any content in the show
3) Attach a GPO macros as created earlier
5) Attach a trigger cue based on the JNOIR
6) Select the action to associate with this trigger
TogglePlayPause is a macro that
toggles between play / pause!
Note: Set mode to 'Loop' if video content is short.
8) Start the playback
9) Check if the expected Macros and Trigger
Cues behaviors happened.
