n The WTI-2332-FT Telephone Interface
allows users to access the Douglas lighting
control network from a standard touch-tone
phone.
n
The WTI-2332-FT can also be integrated
into an external Lonworks control system.

Phone plugs directly into the RJ11 port
on the unit.

Using simple telephone key commands,
the user can select a relay group, check
its status, and turn it ON or OFF.

Voice prompts are provided for ease and
simplicity of operation. Voice prompt
responses give the user confirmation of

Connecting the WTI-2332-FT Telephone
Interface to an MC-6000 System
Connect the lonworks data signal of the WTI-2332-FT to an MC-6210N-
GTW card. The MC-6210N-GTW card must have its own address with
respect to the MC-6000 system.

Using the WTI-2332-FT Telephone
Interface
1.
The WTI-2332-FT Telephone Interface panel can be
incorporated into a Douglas W-2000 or MC-6000 lighting
control network.
2. Connect to the WTI-2332-FT line by dialing the telephone
number (supplied by the network administrator) on a touch-
tone phone whose line is connected directly to the RJ11 port
in the WTI-2332-FT.
3. Once connected, the system will prompt for the access
password when the WTI-2332-FT is configured for password
protection. Enter the password using the telephone keypad,
followed by the (#) key. The system will prompt when the
password is accepted.
If the WTI-2332-FT is configured for no password, the system
will not prompt for a password. Instead, it will proceed to the
Group Menu, where you can activate or query the status of
output relay groups.
4. The WTI-2332-FT default menu setting is relay groups. A
command can be entered with the telephone keypad to turn a
network relay group OFF, ON or query its status. The command
consists of function (OFF = 3, ON = 6, 7 = query status),
followed by the group number (1 to 3 digits, 1 to 255) followed by
(#) to initiate the request. For example, pressing keys (3, 2, 5, #)
would command group #25 to turn OFF. The system will prompt
when the command is accepted.
5. Repeat previous step as necessary to activate or query
other group(s).
6. Password can be enabled and disabled with the telephone
keypad.
The process to disable the password function is:
a) When dialed into the WTI-2332, press "9#" at any time
b) Wait to hear the prompt "Enter new password"
c) Then press "5, 5#" which will disable the password protection.
The process to enable the password function is:
a) When dialed into the WTI-2332, press "9#" at any time
b) Wait to hear the prompt "Enter new password"
c) Then enter the new password followed by a "#".
7. Hang up after the last command is accepted. Note that the
WTI-2332-FT will automatically terminate the connection if
there is a period of inactivity.

Using the WTI-2332-FT Card in an
MC-6000 System
1. The Individual Relay Menu can also be selected (by either
pressing the '4' key to switch from the default Relay Group Menu
or by setting the #1 DIP switch to OFF). A command can be
entered with the telephone keypad to turn an individual relay OFF
or ON or ON with timeout, or mask the relay ON or OFF.
The command consists of function (Mask OFF = 2, OFF = 3, ON =
6, 7 = Mask ON, 8 = ON with Timeout), followed by the panel
number (1 to 3 digits, 5 to 250), followed by the relay number (2
digits, 01 to 64) followed by (#) to initiate the request. For
example, pressing keys (3, 5, 0, 5, #) would command panel 5 -
relay #5 to turn OFF.
