in these instructions by the following notations:
NOTE: ANOTE provides key information to make
procedures easier or clearer.
CAUTION: ACAUTION indicates special procedures that
must be followed to avoid damage to the motorcycle and/
or accessories.
WARNING!: AWARNING indicates special procedures
that must be followed to avoid injury to a motorcycle
operator or person inspecting or repairing the motorcycle.
TOOLS REQUIRED:
1/8” pilot drill bit, 3/8” drill bit, drill motor
10mm socket and ratchet
14mm open end wrench
#2 Phillips screwdriver
Torque wrench
2mm & 4mm hex key wrenches (included)
PROCEDURE:
1. Place motorcycle on the center stand on a firm, level surface.
2. Remove seat by removing the two bolts that hold each of
the passenger grips to the seat. Grasp seat and pull up
and to the rear to remove.
3. Open trunk lid and remove the four screws that retain
the left trunk side pocket. Set aside.
4. Once the side pocket is removed, locate the two “+” marks
on the left inside of the trunk. They should be approximately
directly across from where the right antenna is mounted.
5. Carefully drill a pilot hole in the center of both “+” marks.
These two holes should be approximately 21/4” apart.
6. Measure the halfway point between the two pilot holes,
or about 11/8” down from the top hole.
7. Drill a pilot hole in this location also.
8. Carefully enlarge all three pilot holes to 3/8”.
9. Remove the front left bolt holding the trunk to the bike.
Retain this bolt for re-installation later.
10. Run the antenna wire through the center 3/8” hole and
mount the antenna to the trunk by inserting the two
shouldered bolts through the antenna stay, through the
trunk and into the antenna base. Hand tighten only for now.
11. Re-insert the front left trunk bolt through the antenna stay,
and trunk. Tighten to 20 foot-lbs.
12. Carefully torque the two antenna base bolts to 10 foot-lbs.
13. Install the left side pocket, routing the antenna wire through
the hole in the side pocket down under the seat and
connect to the CB.
CAUTION: Route the antenna wire under the frame members
and take care to not pinch the wire between the frame and seat.
Secure the wire so it cannot move.
14. Install the four screws that hold the side pocket to the trunk.
15. Insert the top half of the antenna mast into the lower half
and secure with the two setscrews.
16. Screw the antenna mast onto the antenna
base as far as possible.

the mast may be tilted down. Turn the mast until the
mast tilts to the front. Tighten the lock nut so mast

of the seat are inserted into the top shelter, and the
prong on the front bottom of seat is inserted under the
shelter setting stay.
19. While pushing down on the rear of the seat, install the
passenger grips and bolts. Tighten bolts securely.
